I thought it was a one time thing of 2.00. Then i am charged 47.00 Not only this, but a reoccurring payment came out. Interesting, as i do not recall signing up for monthly payments of 47.00. In addition, the advice is remedial at best. Research yourself; save your money folks. They gave me very bad direction on how to care for my cat. Look up independent sources. There are many knowledgeable people that do want to share their knowledge. Takes a bit of time; but worth doing your own research. Cheers, Nicole.
Asked a question. Said they were going to charge 5$. Looked at the credit card statement and they charged 35$. Don't waste your money. In the receipt they sent they said they were charging 35 for a member ship, never said that once in payment process. Also the advice they gave was useless. Just go ask your doctor for free.
A fake UPS tracking pop up appears and states you have a pkg being held in a distribution hub. They then offer help to locate it. You're then directed to the "Just Ask" IT Professionals page to chat. After I inform them (after chatting w/them) that they are a POS scamming operation in India, they reacted w/anger. I then come to find out through my banks Fraud Dept, they charged me $46 without permission. People need to beware of this scam! Thank God my bank's Fraud Dept calls me immediately if they notice unusual charges. I'm giving them 1/2 star at best!
Thought I was on a Google assistant asking for help and got a bill for $68! And the unsubscribe does not remove you from their misrepresentative monthly billing that I didn't even know I had. You must call and they are unapologetic about the billing deception.
Was told there would be a $4.95 fee to talk to a vet. My dog had a eye problem and they really asked if the dog was licking the wound. Then they sent me to a vet and all they said was eye drops, did not ask for pictures or any questions. Then I see my bank balance and they charged me an additional $34.95 for a monthly membership fee! This is a total scam, I disputed the charge with my bank. Also when I went into the chat to ask about this charge they said its our monthly membership fee and when I when I told them there was not indication I had to also pay a monthly fee, they greyed out the chat box so I could not longer chat with them. If you go to their page they have great reviews, but when you try to leave a review from that page it does not allow you. DO NOT USE THIS SITE, IT IS A SCAM!
Just asked scammed money from an 80.00 year old lady! Within 24 hours, she specified that she did not want a membership. Just ask told her that it would be a refundable 5 dollar. They charged her 48.00, and cancelled her membership. WOULD NIT REFUND HER FIXED INCOME GROCERY MONEY!
What kind of evil does this? Why isn't the government shutting this kind of predator down!
They scam people with their membership fee, and has no spealist to assist you. I only saw $2 charges for question on their website, but they deducted $68 on my card. I called to complain after few hours, but they said there is no refund. MOTHER$#*!ERS!
If I could give less than 1, I would! Worst experience ever! They told me there would be a $5 charge & I wake up this morning to a $30 charge! The 1st rep said she wouldn't help me as I was told about the $30 (I wasnt). Would not get me a supervisor- kept talking over me then hung up on me! The 2nd rep was no better - said I authorized it and no refund! He did say he would send it to their escalation team & I'd get an answer in 24-48 hours! They also lost my phone number. NEVER DO BUSINESS WITH THEM - SCAM
I had used this app b4 about 4 yrs ago. I wasn't really happy then. I seen an ad that said " ask a question for $5". So I asked a legal question. It cost me $49. I texted w a greeter and some kind of legal advisor. I ended up disagreeing w both. I told the advisor something to the effect of a document stating you had to have a driver's license. It didn't say a valid license. The advisor told me that it was implied. I believe it has to be specific or it's subject to interpretation. Then she told me to drive a scooter in Indiana you have to have a valid driver's license. I said what about the people who've lost their license to a DUI and have to drive a scooter to work. She said it was illegal. I paid $49 for that advice. Then in asking the greeter about the charges she said it's $5 to ask a question. To ask a question you have to be signed to a membership. It costs $45. I said "Oh, I see". Then my membership was immediately canceled the same day. It was a hard lesson to learn.
This was a complete rip off! I was led to believe I was paying only $2.00. Ended up costing me $132.00. Don't do it
If anyone out there is thinking of using 'AskADoctor. JustAnswer, you must be careful to get the correct site and NOT the scammers!
We are both well into our 70s. My wife slipped over and I called 101 as directed as she had hurt her leg. Not seriously I may add but needed to know what to do. Although we did not know it then someone had obviously intercepted the call as we were asked for £5.00 to continue! Something we were informed afterwards that the N. H. S. Would never do!
My wife duly (maybe a little stupidly) paid this on her card and was then informed by a 'robot' to press the 'Ask a Doctor' button and would cost another £38.00. To continue.
At this stage the old alarm bells began to ring and we opted out of the site.
Now up to date (25 August) looking on our account we found two lots of £38.00 had been taken out of our account!
Obviously professional scammers as they even had the cheek to leave their details on the bank account.
This has now been dealt with and payments have been stopped.
To mention, if anyone gets sent to this site asking for 'money for advice' log out immediately or YOU WILL BE SCAMMED.
Services terrible, they keep continuously charging your credit card. Even though you didn't get no service from them, bad business.
I called with an emergency with my conyure. I am still waiting for help 6 hours later. Please don't expect help from these folks.
This Is one of the worst possible websites to actually get advice. I was asking a very specific question and not once but twice got the same answer for two different questions neither of which actually answered my questions. I could look it up on Google and it would be 100% the same. They also bait and switch you. They tell you it's $5 which is refundable and then once you put your card information and they charge you $46 a month. I called and said I would like to cancel immediately because that is not what I was told or had any privy information to, once ajedthey refused comment. Once I said that I needed to talk to a superior they said there was none and hung up. When the actual site texted me it said you will have an answer in a few minutes l,I didn't get one until 24 hours later. And then it was a very generic answer like I said and they could not and would not actually answer my question so at the end of the day if you use this site be aware that they are scamming you in every way possible.
It doesnt give you answers just generic responses which are NO HELP and then even when you cancel immediately they take your 1 Euro (which is how it is advertised) and then even with assurances that they will take no more they took another 45 Euro from my account. HOW are they able to keep operating and scamming with FALSE advertising? Where is the watchdog?
I thought ri they were legitimate and good. Got advice, not bad. Was told could cancel after I cancelled and was billed 3 days later for $28 rip off
MY REVIEW IS REGARDING NON-EMERGENCY/NON-MEDICAL ISSUES. I am writing regarding an auto mechanic/mobile mechanic issue I had. As always advised: please contact your personal doctor or emergency room for medical issues. DO NOT ATTEMPT TO SELF-DIAGNOSE AND TREAT YOURSELF without confidence in the site or person you are requesting info from.
RE: JUSTASK.COM: You can get free real-life experiences/expert solutions through sites like YouTube. If you are looking for free local referrals, check out sites like NextDoor. (An aside: I prefer Next Door because the prices the provider charges are lower for you and the provider if you contact them directly rather than through sites like Angie's List or Thumbnail, for instance. The provider pays a fee to the referral service. The providers are usually small or family-owned businesses.) Your neighbors will refer affordable local providers. Paying Just Ask $5 + $39 to ask a question is not worth it. You will have to pay that $44 for that month and will be required to go back into the account to cancel future charges.
Just ask employee swearing littering and parking on private property not in connection with just ask
Read your payment agreement very carefully.
Although I canceled immediately after I realized the monthly cost I was still charged 44.00 for nothing.
