All my concerns were dealt with in a very easy to inform way. However it took quite awhile to get my answer from the vet. That being said, for non life threatening conditions this is an excellent option especially when vets are so backed up and exotic vets are very hard to find.
Dr. Michael was thorough, knowledgeable beyond compare, compassionate, and most importantly he stuck with me until my fur baby Cooper was out of the woods and track to actual long term recovery. Fresh out of ER he was put on 6u of insulin. Dr. Michael Salkin informed me he was badly underdosed and now, at 22u, my baby is starting to be his normal self again. My fiancé and I went from discussing euthanasia and building his coffin back to enjoying his company on the couch with us and him doing a slight jog to his food bowl at dinner time. My boy is a complicated case given he has cushings and diabetes and Dr. Michael Salkin provided me with more information and made me feel more heard and acknowledged then I have at any vet, internal medicine, or other specialist appointment. He followed up to see how Cooper was doing, just things that showed this is definitely his craft, his calling, and his clients are lucky to have him. I even joked to my fiancé that cooper and I may need to take a road trip for a in person vet visit so he can get his cushings treated because we don't have a vet willing to do that until diabetes is controlled. 2 levers impossible to tame when found at the same time. I've stated before, the hardest part of JustAnswer is getting connected to a professional. This time I had zero issues. And now I've found someone who also specializes in rabbits which I also own. I feel like I'm winning all over. Can't thank Dr. Salkin enough. When you give the gift of more time, a thank you will never suffice.
