Second time they've taken my money, I'm disabled and rely on online shopping. JustEat and Asda Rochdale stole my money twice. It's hard to get my money back from them despite showing photos of my order, saying they are closing my complaint down within 2 hours. Do not believe the TV adverts, all lies to lure you in to buying from them, I wonder why? 8 items ordered and 5 missing yet took my money then treated me like I was the thief 😔
I ordered a coffee and iced drink, the ordered arrived an hour after the order being placed. The coffee and iced drink arrived cold and melted, in addition to this spilt over the other two items in the bag. The driver confirmed there was a problem with the app which delayed him so much and apologised for what happened. The customer service team are completely incompetent, they didn't offer any goodwill gesture and to add insult to injury didn't look into the complaint. I have now deleted my account with them, they are cowboys and ripping people off.
I would say order at your own risk, I have received all my orders I have placed, however I personally think it depends on your driver, if they are English, know where to go / are not thieves!
There are some thieving drivers, and there are some good ones, but do order at your own risk as not all of the drivers will deliver your order, heard bad things about it but so far not too bad, orders have been late but never not delivered.
I have used Just Eat many times, ordering from the same restaurants and the service (from the restaurants) is usually great. However, when there is a problem Just Eat are slow to respond (if they respond at all) and the system is clearly lacking.
I tried a new restaurant, checked they delivered to our area, selected our meal, entered my card details, and THEN I was told the restaurant rejected the order - the reason given was that they didn't deliver to our area.
I was fuming (and hungry), it was a total waste of time and now I had to get my money back (they don't actually deduct funds from your account but this is not clear and I've been monitoring my bank statement for a week).
The online support chat was so slow it was painful. Emailing customer services is a waste of time, I'm still waiting for a response over a week later. I have now managed to close my account and I will not order from them again.
Disappointing, but this is not a reflection on the restaurants that I have ordered from before, I will simply order direct in the future.
