I paid $150 to join took two months to receive first item I bid and won on. Second item 3 months never answered my emails, they stopped taking calls on there phoner. I had to have my credit card company get my money back am working on getting the money for joining back'
What a major rip off! I signed up believing I was getting some free bids, next thing you know they charged my credit card (which they said they needed in case I won a bid) $150! After trying to contact a human being, I was also sent to web site, but could still not get any refund. Worst of all... all they stuff they have available for bidding is the same uselessjunk they have had for months. Don't even get caught in their crooked scam like I did!
Absolute rip off. Should have heeded the "if it sounds too good to be true, it probably is". Signed up for the free 300 bids, only find out that it cost me $150. It is unrefundable, no matter how much you complain. The same items are for bid everytime you log in. Then when you start to feel desperate to atleast get something for your $150, everything has huge shipping cost. No use contacting them, they don't reply. This is such a scam being run by thieves.
This is the worst $150.00 ive ever waisted, or the most expensive lesson ive come accrost, on my computer sofare!
Stay away - they charge you $150 without you explicitly consent to it... and would refuse to refund the money. O. K. I accepted this and won two auctions - AND NEVER GOT any of them. Complete scam!
Like everyone else, I got scammed, and I am usually ultra careful to be sure I'm not the dummy!
I fought with my credit card company, Master Card, and got nowhere after sending them pounds of evidence, including pages from websites like these. While I eschew CLASS ACTION LAWSUITS, I would have no problem supporting one that INCLUDES MASTER CARD in such a suit, as they are profiting from this, and not exercising any diligence with their merchants to whom they sell the Master Card processing account. They are just as responsible as the jackasses that run this site!
Dont even consider joining this site. They charge you $150 dollars to join this site, which is 50 cents for each 1 cent bid you make. If you are lucky enough to win a decent item you will have to call repeatedly to get your merchandise. I have been waiting since 9/18 to receive a $50.00 gift card and have contacted them three times about this but have gotten no response. They show nice items on their home page but the auction items are nothing but cheap crap that no one bids on. Examples are fish oil, vitamins, knockoff perfume, sunglasses, fake jewelry, some toys, there is nothing like the items shown on the home page. If this place is still in business in a month I'll be suprised. My advise is save your money and don't be conned into joining.
RIPOFFR. Spoke to represnative immediately after signinf up told they would give me a full refund after they aftered a $75 refund and I instisted even issued a refund confirmation # that was fake, they are liars. Also teh items they show before you sign up and "real actions" are fake they offer pure junk. Going to report to every agency I can adn further dispute with credit card company.

I GOT AN EMAIL OR POP-UP ON MY COMPUTER OFFERING ME 300 FREE BIDS FOR REGISTERING THEN YOU HAD TO ENTER CREDIT CARD INFORMATION. THIS SEEMED REASONABLE FOR COVERING ADDITIONAL COST OF WINS... IF ANY. I READ THE AGREEMENT, IT WAS LATE AUGUST OR SEPTEMBER 1, I USED MY BIDS AND GOT A CHARGE FOR $150 ON CREDIT CARD IN OCTOBER... THIS IS A SCAM... I HAVE FRAUD PROTECTION
AND HAVE CHARGED JUMBOCLOSEOUTS WITH FRAUD... DON'T SIGN UP WITH THESE CROOKS... I GOT NO RECEIPT NOR RECORD OF MY TIME THERE! SAVE YOUR MONEY.
DO NOT USE THIS WEBSITE! JUMBOCLOSEOUTS is a scam. I am going to try to get my money back from these idiots. FBI, BBB, my bank, whatever. I will not let them steal from me like this. Since they took my money, they have only had about 20 items at most to bid on... The bidders are pretty stupid as they bid and keep bidding until the item finally is won... Who the hell bids on vitamins? What a crock. Make sure to fight to get your 150 back!
Quite simply, a scam. Hopefully a state attorney's general will be shutting it down soon.
My elderly father signed up without knowing he would be charged $150. I emailed the company and demanded a refund. I also told them that I had disputed this with my credit card company, made a complaint to the Better Business Bureau and the office of Consumer Affairs in Los Angeles where they are located. I got an email response back saying that if I "quit all claims against them" they would refund my money. I agreed and after several more emails, I got a complete refund. Don't give up, keep pestering them!
JumboCloseouts address is 2658 Griffith Park Blvd Suite 381 Los Angles, CA *******. I think that it's actually a PO box at UPS store.

SCAM! SCAM! SCAM! These CROOKS take the cake! Not only did I get ripped off by their registration fee, but I actually won an auction at a low price and these SCAM ARTISTS did not honor my winning auction. So, not only will you get scammed out of $150 to register, which they don't tell you, you won't get your item even if you win an auction. I don't think these crooks have real actual products to ship or sell. It's all a SCAM!
When I asked for a refund, I was told that they don't give refunds. What a bunch of #@##!**^%# BS! I'm Filing a Dispute with my credit card all the way!
YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED! STAY AWAY FROM JUMBOCLOSEOUTS.COM OR YOU WILL GET BURNED!
DO NOT JOIN.
They took my money $150. They said on 8/11 they give 300 free bids if you join now they charge me $150. NOOOOOOOOOOO WAY. DO NOOOOOOOOT JOIN. I have not been able to talk to anybody, billing through email. If I do not give my money I will report them and take them to court.
DO NOT JOIN.
It is a fraud. Found an article in The Memphis Gazette, www.memphisgazette.org, highly recommending the site. The gazette offered a free promo to its readers to join the Jumbo Closeouts with a giveaway of 300 bids.
Impressed by the article I joined. I tried to win a few bids - impossible to do!
Read, please, what others are saying about the biddings.
No point me here to repeat the same.
My visa was billed $150 - despite the fact, that I joined on the promo.
Will dispute tomorrow with the credit card company.
Too bad legitimate sites, like the Memphis Gazette, propagate scams like this one. The gazette must be getting a chunk in profits of the scam.
Shame!
I too was just scammed out of 150.00, on my sons birthday too, it overdrew my acct and I couldnt even buy his cake! I too have sent billing and support emails, but get this they just respond with a simple thank you. LMAO! I am planning on taking further action. I am wondering has anyone recieved any sort of credit back from thier bank or seen any other action when filed complaints with BBB or police departments?
I too was ripped off... I feel like a fool. But, to combat that feeling, I am taking the following steps:
1.) Post here
2.) Contact ALL state attorney generals' offices (http://www.naag.org/current-attorneys-general.php)
3.) Contact the Federal Trade Comission (http://www.ftc.gov)
4.) Contact my bank to seek their help
Good luck everyone stopping these theives.
The only thing I would like to say is that I ended up at Jumbocloseouts by reading an article that looks like a newspaper article in regards to JumboBids. The article was written in what looks like a newspaper named the Memphis Gazette. What I want to point out is that if you look at the so-called newspaper article carefully, you will notice that under the name of the paper it says in very light, small print "This site is not affiliated with any newspaper publication". HELLOOOO! That's enough to make me turn tail and run, run, run!
Answer: Calling your credit card company does not work because of note 8. In this sites terms and conditions. You need to file a complaint on line with the California Attorney General. This is not an auction, but more like a lottery or in reality a Ponzi scheme which is illegal.
