Working for JoinToHire has given me the ability to utilize my skills and knowledge used in the business world while giving me the flexibility to work from home.
I recently worked with a freelancer here on jointohire and am very satisfied with the work I received. Will definetley work here again and can recommend everyone too.
I hired a contractor through the JointoHire.com website to work on a software development project. The contractor stopped communicating with me and didn't deliver anything. I reached out to the site to tell them what happened. I explained that the contractor disappeared and I wanted to confirm he couldn't add manual time to his contract since he hadn't tracked any time using their tracking software. They assured me they disabled the capability to add manual hours. I ended the contract with 0 hours tracked and removed my credit card from their website. Days later, I got a charge for $340 on my credit card. I reached out multiple times to request a refund. I filed a dispute through their website which has been ignored to date. The best JointoHire.com would offer me was credit on their platform to make up for my poor experience. So basically, I paid despite not getting anything delivered even after I confirmed with them that I wouldn't be billed. They also keep your credit card information on file even after you remove it from their website, which I'm sure is not legal either. Their customer service takes 3 days just to respond to each message. I can't recommend enough that you use a more reputable platform for your outsourcing needs. This one is designed to rip you off.
Lured from Upwork, paid $300 for milestones, nothing was delivered and I didn't got any replies on my emails, chats and the team members are made-up.
We had another £172 taken and we still haven't gone forward with any work.
THIS IS A SCAM. STEER CLEAR
Strongly recommend anyone to use the JoinToHire.com to hire effective and best freelance developers, online, at a click of a button!
I was lured from upwork
I was lured from upwork
Reason was that developer has some technical issues
I believed, so i posted the same description on jointohire and got scammed
I paid 350eur
Developer
- has made timesheet of 150eur
- didnt deliver anything
- didnt reply anymore
So i opened dispute,
- they didnt follow their rules and didnt match their deadlines
- they blocked my live chat support (so i had to contact them as anonymous without loggin in)
- it is 2 weeks and my dispute was still not accepted
- they dont answer my email
- i am afraid i wont see my money again
So
- i lost month of work
- i lost 350eur of money
- i lost trust for such websites
The experience I have with JoinToHire is amazing. With it you can work when you want or when you need money; it is big part of freedom in real life.
Employed a website designer on JoinToHire and agreed on a budget. He let us down on multiple deadlines and for the most part did not keep in communication with us. He had taken three quarters of the budget automatically though the site but had not provided the high majority if the work. We spoke with JoinToHire to tell them about our disappointment. They told us we need to speak with the designer which we told them we have tried to numerous times and got nowhere. We spoke with JoinToHire multiple times, one point they stated the designers work was high quality and in the same email stated they do not check the freelancers work. Each time we contacted JoinToHire they were highly biased and accepting of the designers lack of work. They would emphasise we need to talk with the developer and we would reply we can't because they do not reply. We cancelled our automatic payments. A week later we checked the account to see that they had attempted to take another three quarters of our budget. If we had not cancelled we would have been 50% over our budget that we agreed upon with no warning. In the end the developer agreed to refund us however the money was kept in JoinToHires website. We asked they disperse it and they did not stating the designer has to be paid for his hours claimed. We raised a dispute on paypal and received a threatening response stating they would refund us if we closed the dispute. If we did not close it they may charge us another three quarters of the budget. We did not take to this threat and waited for the next day. As we were preparing to escalate the claim, we saw they had refunded the money. I believe had we closed the claim, we would not have been refunded the money as we cannot reopen a claim once closed. Be warned, this website is a scammers paradise as they can claim any hours they want and JoinToHire automatically takes the payments out of your account with no warning or proof of any work being done.
