Proactively asks for customer feedback
EXTREMELY entertaining, customizable videos for all occasions! AND, in addition, SUPERIOR customer service. Jib Jab lives up to their promises, and if there is ever a situation to be resolved, they have real human beings - rather than robots - to assist customers. I am truly impressed with their integrity, and highly recommend them to anyone who wants to put smiles on their loved ones and clients.
I have tried to cancel JibJab several times over the years. It is easy to use in designing a birthday card but very difficult to cancer the service.
Unable to even cancel this due to the website being down. Please cancel my subscription and reimburse. I have not used this service in years, and I have tried multiple times to cancel.
Their unscrupulous untimely unwarranted unsolicited extension of a contract year in year out without any correspondence They keep charging you in charging you without any input from you terrible business practices very shameful
You shouldn't renew a person's account without getting their permission. It's sneaky. Xxxxxxxxxxxx

JibJab signed me up for the yearly plan instead of monthly, as well as auto renew without asking, which screams of predatorial business practices. If you're thinking "maybe they pressed the wrong button and didn't read carefully", I work for a multinational company where everyday I talk people through how to set up their online businesses so that they're user friendly and how to avoid chargebacks. I paid careful attention while going through the sign up process and, despite my Spidey senses telling me this was likely a scam, I put my trust in the company because my dad had been using them for a couple of years and hadn't noticed anything suspicious (that said, he also doesn't pay careful attention to his bank account). After checking my account and finding the error, I went to their site and saw my account now said auto-renew was setup. It took 10+ clicks and filling out info just to turn auto-renew off, and even then it still said it was on but then no longer gave the option to turn it off. The refund procedure was worse- 15+ clicks, as well as two lengthy and misleading forms (far too difficult for the average person to get through). When I did finally get through that the response was prompt and included a full refund (or at least that's what I've been told, I suppose we'll see in 3 days if I need to request a chargeback with my bank). Here's the thing most people don't realise- for a predatorial business it makes sense to make the forms difficult to get through and then to issue a refund for those who make it through without giving up. They do this because it 1) it avoids chargebacks (if you're persistent enough to get through lengthy forms, you're likely the only ones persistent enough to bother issuing a chargeback with your bank, especially at the holidays which is money making season for businesses). Usually chargebacks result in a business's web host and payment gateway banning them, so even predatory businesses like to avoid this. 2) the lengthy forms mean most people won't bother so they keep maximum profits from their scam- which is to have a business that charges for a service that costs them nothing but hosting fees, scams people into being charged more than they signed up for, deliberately hides the auto-renew in fine print, makes the routes to turn them off or request refund nearly untraversable, all in the effort to gather as much money before the holiday season ends as possible... And yet, sure they gave us a refund- they might be legit and just not great at following well standardised practices online yet, right?!? I mean a lot of new businesses do not understand those best practices yet, and they've only been around how many years now?!? Essentially they keep you wondering just enough, and they do have a good product, so you want to like them... So you're the next to her scammed.
Message for the company: trust is hard to come by online. You had mine through word of mouth from my father. Then in one week you lost two customers. If somehow you genuinely care to improve your business, you may wish to study online business practices that could help you improve your system to ensure once you gain customer trust, that you don't then lose it due to negligence. I give you that advice still unsure if you are just naive or in fact a predatorial business, and it is that uncertainty that will have me never try this service again despite loving your product.
Tip for consumers:
Auto-renew and yearly subscription are the only options, regardless of the monthly option it gives you.

I sent a card multiple times, consulting JibJab customer service when I was not notified it had been sent. When I looked at my JibJab account, the card appeared to have been sent, but it was never received. My customer service contact there had notified JibJab that there was an issue, but they never fixed it. Terrible service!
Incidentally, Sitejabber wants me to show my receipt to verify my purchase. Part of my problem is that JibJab never sent me a receipt.
Found them through google. Their ad says "free e-cards" and so on. I went to the site, spent about ten minutes selecting a card, then another ten minutes individualizing it, then it turns out they want $24 a year or no deal! I don't do business with LIARS.
As other people have commented they lure you in on the pretence that it is free, let you choose a card, select a picture, make your card, and then - before you can even see the result of your hard work - pop up a window demanding payment! Sorry, I don't care how good the product might have been, these are disgraceful tactics and should not be allowed. If you want paying for your services ASK UPFRONT.
I was utterly dissatisfied by this service; having attempted to send it twice, it did not arrive at its destination. I have therefore cancelled my subscription and would not use this company again.
Like everyone else, I was baited into thinking this service was free. Even if it's not free - SAY IT AT THE START. DON'T MAKE ME STRUGGLE WITH YOUR $#*!TY SOFTWARE FOR 30 MINUTES BEFORE MAKING ME RE-DO IT OVER AND OVER UNTIL THE THIRD TIME YOU ASK ME FOR MONEY. IDIOTS.
I paid $24 for use of JibJab because I liked the video concept. I made a video and when I replayed it, I got nothing but a black screen with music. I tried all ways to make the video appear, but it didn't. I called their phone number for assistance, and was told "by a recording" that if I was in the USA, I would have to email my problem for assistance within 2 days. I am not waiting 2 days to find out why the video won't play, so I requested a refund and alerted PayPal that I have done so.
I felt trapped. After spending over an hour putting my "free" card together, I couldn't send it without paying for it first. Wait! I thought it was free! And then I had a choice of monthly or yearly but it was toll over so I had to remember to cancel it. What a rip off.
I spent some time creating what I thought was a free holiday card. It was only AFTER I had invested about 20 minutes into this that I was informed that I could not see the entire card animation or share it out!
I feel like I was lied to.
On the website it says clearly $2 per month and only below it says that this will be charged on an annual basis upfront (i. E. $24). This is purposefully misleading. I signed up to send 1 card with the intention of cancelling after sending it, and only being charged $2 - but got charged the full $24. Technically this is not illegal, but will catch a lot of people out. More fool me.
They actually sent me "alternatives" which included dancing pieces of bread with p'nut butter and jelly, dancing jars and dancing lollipops, reducing my marital romantic relationship to inanimate asexual objects. I could not tell if I was being mocked, or they were clueless to their actions.
Shouldn't be advertising link to free birthday e-cards when they are demanding membership to access your e-card@ 24$ U. S per year - scam much.
I used to love JibJab. When I saw the $1.50 for a month offer, I thought I'd try it again. I'm REALLY disappointed- videos cannot be viewed full screen and cards sent have been designed as ADS! I also have realized I've been charged for a full year. Really a bait/switch. You no longer get the great products JibJab offered but you are hooked into paying for a year once you've signed up. Phooey!
Bring back the older version of Jib Jab. The new platform sucks... used to be great now it's totally useless and sub par. No more Starring You Pictures, No more Starring You Profile Pictures, No more downloads... why on earth would Jib Jab Brothers take a great program and destroy it... someone gave bad advise to developers and turned a silk purse into a pigs ear... sad, very sad. Loyal member and user now, not at all.
OK... so the product delivered as promised, but experience totally trashed by a money-grabbing approach to customers. Don't lock people into a full year just to drive your own revenue... some other options might be appreciated by consumers don't you think?
Make it clear the transaction is in USD. More unpleasant surprises once the exchange rate shows up on your statement.
Disappointing experience.
Nothing came out from what have been promised. Unfortunately, I granted free year use of JibJab ( Until the end of December 2020), but when I am making a video, the window pops up and tells me to get registered with payment. So, it is not happening
Wasted my time creating a video, taking pics of entire family and then if I want to watch it I must pay $24 annual subscription. Bothersome.
Any website that makes you go through some sort of process only to end with a price tag is shady at best. Not only do you waste your time, it's deceptive. This marketing practice needs to die.
The video doesn't embed and play automatically on facebook like youtube videos or personal fb videos. Clickthrough is required to watch the video, just like an advertisement. Not easily done for mobile users, which by the way, all of us are.
If I can't download and upload my own personalized jibjab videos with mine and my loved ones faces, I've wasted my money. I mean it, this really sucks.
I wanted to send my daughter a funny card for her 21st Birthday. (She is away at college.) I pulled up Jib Jab to look at what cards they had. I couldn't look at the selection until I signed up with Jib Jab. So I did. I could Not find anything that would be appropriate or even funny for a 21st Birthday. I am not satisfied with this subscription at all! It is a waste of money!
Cannot buy one single product, the plan has to be for annual use. This was present whilst setting up Paypal and the final price was not displayed. Very disappointed that I haven't heard anything about a refund when it states within 48 hours. I will never speak good about this brand and I will continue to express it's poor service and shocking business structure. Brands are meant to build trust, not shatter them.
