Iwriter has some good points, but I have a bone to pick with requesters at the Elite level. I have a solid profile at Upwork and lots of wonderful long-term clients. I can't say the same about iwriter. Some clients reject solid articles and give flimsy excuses. Like "article is short of word count... or badly worded in some places without pointing out the sentences. I am disposing of my account. Total waste of time.

Been writing for 6 years at iWriter, maintained a 4.9-star rating all that time. My biggest payout to date would have passed $1,000 for the week, couldn't log in. The error says used the same article twice, which is an outright lie. Fount the email of the owner, BRAD, he is a total coward. He emailed me, which I have copies, telling me my business is not welcome, and he will be using my money to take his two boys out to Disney! He is a scammer and any site with his name attached to it should be avoided at all costs. Soon as you build a big balance, they keep it and make up a false claim you violated a policy. Avoid iWriter!

They blocked my account which I had been running since 2012 as a writer. I had risen through the ranks to become an Elite Plus writer with a consistent flow of work. One evening, I tried to log-in and a pop-up appeared reading "Improper use of the platform". I tried contacting them through Facebook, I was told to reach them on *******@iwriter.com, I emailed them on that address and I ended up getting a response that I should fill the contact form instead. I filled the contact form and sent the message but never got a response. They also didn't send the $ I had accumulated in there when the withdrawal date came. If this isn't thievery, I don't know what that is. I wish there was a way to sue them. Any legal experts out there? Get in touch with me on ndugujames{at}gmail[dot]com.

How Bad dose it get@ iwriter, I have used iwriter in the past I had 6 to10 jobs done. Last week, I Tried to Login and a Blocked message pops up. So send a message to support, but have to wait a day or so to get a Non auto reply as they only work 7to4pm EST M/F. Strange for a world wide online company? So I asked them to tell me why i was blocked and to fix the issue. The first part of the Question was to hard for Trecee, Customer Support Lead. I gave Trecee All The Info Requested, all except my PayPal information as i could not see How or What it had to do with unblocking my Acc. Then Trecee wants Screen shots of my PayPal Acc, Which i will not send, and Trecee is still not able to tell me why my Acc is Blocked. Also now Trecee has refused to look into the matter any more. So Trecee You Have Lost Me As A Client, I will be using " UpWork " NOW! So If YOU are a freelancer on iWriter Take note of how your booking agent treats your Customers

The site is literally unusable because I can't enter my info. The problem persists for two weeks. Response from them was "it's a known issue."

This is a very common scam on iwriter. Writers are made to write and the client is free to reject your work for no reason and claim the content.

Here's how it works:

1) You write the content and submit it for approval.

2) The client copies the content or makes image copies of it, then rejects your work.

3) Client posts content on website or sells it to someone else for a lot of cash.

4) You with a very low rating will loss potential clients and drop to the lowest tier or remain there forever.

Avoid at all costs or at least write content that requires very little time and research.

The ELITE writers are garbage. We tried Premium and Elite Plus. These people get paid very little, the fees are taken from both the client AND the writer. WATCH your money displayed as it disappears with no reason from rude and unprofessional support team members. We had one of our members try it out as a WRITER and her account was closed for using keywords that were already used by another writer? The copyscape scans articles and rejects them, even closing down accounts and KEEPING THE MONEY that the writer made. Unbelievable. The articles are horrible, the writers generally have bad English Grammar. STAY AWAY!

Simply put, the $#*!IEST writing company ever. The "Elite Writers" category is a joke. NEVER ORDER ANY article on the platform. They claim to have a category of elite writers but the truth is you just have TO PAY $119 to be categorized as elite in what they call "first track" program. Therefore, the quality of their elite writers is no different than that of standard writer.

I ordered an article and I specified an "Elite Plus" author, their highest tier. I had to reject the article every time because they were so poorly written. The attached is an article written by an Elite Plus author. Wow, really?!

Insulting and abusive
February 1, 2018

They want you to write articles for them in less than 3 hours for a fifth of a cent! The rejection rate is so high and the clients are ignorant and abusive. Also there is no guarantee to get paid. To write an article for less than a cent is an insult for any writer who can write and is just making some extra bucks.

Insulting Writer
January 25, 2018

This was for my first request on iWriter. The default rating you can give someone is a 1 star and I didn't see this when submitting the rejection form. The writer became pretty vulgar as you can see below. I'll be happy to edit the review if iWriter fixes the issue even though I'm doubtful.

Sue them
January 6, 2018

I suggest someone out there has the nerve to sue this company in order to bring it down. That's the only way it can be stopped. I was conned out of a $130 payment from them. I live in Sweden so I do not know how to sue an American company but those of you in the Usa should be able to do this without difficulty.

I am a professional writer working through upwork. People from iwriters approached me on upwork through a false ID and portrayed things as if they are a big level working company who hire writers and make them work on higher rates as much as 22$ per 500 word.
I joined him on Skype signed a contract with him too then after taking 15 articles of all ranging from 1000 words to 1500 words each he blocked me from skype the next day while working on upwork a random invitation to work was received by me and this was again these people from iwriters with the same skype id.
I searched my sent content on the software to check where it was uploaded and then from there i got the details of these people.
I am suing the company on copyright infringement backgrounds

IWriter is OK
December 21, 2017

IWriter will always deal fairly with its writers. It can never hold one's fees or fine them unfairly. The only thing with iWriter is that it has some of the industry's lowest rates in terms of fees compensated to a writer, almost as low as EssayWriters

Guys run away from the scam
September 18, 2017

These guys are the one who edit clients comments, and chose to reject you. They even rate the writers as if they are the clients.one client hinted to me that he had given a five star only to find i had been give a two star by their editors. As soon as you near the twenty dollars, that is when the struggle to close your account begins. The owner of this website must have been a con, and a scammer somewhere else... guys

On it for 5 years now
September 5, 2017

Helped me up my revenue for the last 5 years or so... but I have to admit it is extremely frustrating sometimes... and you really need to be good in order to thrive... I now have dozens of favorite requesters who send me special requests from time to time. And it works just fine for me :)

I am a new online writer. I wrote some articles for iwriter that have been approved. The total amount is $39.37
I selected "Every Tuesday" as my payment schedule. Two Tuesdays have passed and am yet to receive my pay. I opened a support ticket with them. Initially I got a response that it will be paid. I got the response before last Tuesday. Since I wasn't paid, I rode on the response to notify them. I got no response. I have sent a couple mails thereafter but did not get any response. And no words from them. It is looking like a scam to me.

I've ordered over 50 articles from iWriter. Initially, I liked the idea of a "self-serve" article platform - it was easier than dealing with multiple writers and the pricing was solid. Well, you get what you pay for. I ordered both basic and premium quality articles and it was a nightmare. I spent so much time checking if the articles were plagiarized and the majority were. I never thought I'd say this, but you're better off going to fiverr.

Absolute GARBAGE
June 10, 2017

Never going to write for this website again. I spent a good amount of time researching an unfamiliar topic and gave it my own twist. I felt very good about my work. It was at least a four star. It was rejected and they gave me a one-star rating for no apparent reason. I understand not everyone's going to like everything I write and I may get a rejection, but going to the extent to lie about why you rejected my article and then giving me a one-star. Thats bs.
