Avoid like the plague. Our shipment was a month late when we were informed it had been mis-delivered and that we'd have to pay a second shipping charge (!) to have it delivered properly. Customer service is non-existent. Two months now, still waiting.
They haven't sent the wine and keep repeating that it's due to hot weather concerns. It's been 2-3 weeks without a shipment, and they never provided the requested packaging picture. Since this happened in September, if they can only operate in winter, it's not a reliable business. It seems like they might be a scam, so I'd advise against dealing with them
Everything about how delivery works is right there for all the see. Including substitutions if needed. I ordered ten bottles of my favorite wine because I can't find it anywhere else with reasonable shipping. It's not available in my state, which is weird. I got all ten which were packed great. I ordered on a Tuesday, they were shipped on Thursday and I received them on Monday. Weekends never count when it states business days. I had no issues. I ordered in plenty of time to get them when I needed them. Thank you for great customer service! I will be ordering again! And again...
I certainly agree with others views regarding poor shipping and the canceling of orders after they've been paid for.
They listed Illinois as a place that could be shipped to, and they took my money. Now they tell me that you can't ship to Illinois. Being in business for 28 years, you'd think that they would know where they can and cannot ship to but no...
Ordered a case of Bordeaux on Sept 29, no confirmation of order and on Oct 4 no shipment yet. Customer Service doesn't answer calls or call back to voicemails. Sent email to address on their website and no response. Would not buy from this outfit again.
I ordered 28 bottles of liquor and received them in less than 1 week. Easy ordering and super fast shipping. I called them twice with questions and got through quickly. This was my 1st order. I will most definitely order from them again!
I had some problems with this company initially, but they were very concerned about making it right. They worked with me and I'm very happy now. If you have a problem, just call them and they will help you.
I used one time to buy wines and the order never come to my home and after some week they refund just the principal value without the almost 30 dollars they charged to shipping. I called to there and unfortunately people there are liars and with no respect customers.
On the original order, the customer requested the package be sent to the nearest Walgreens/FedEx location, where the package sat for 3 weeks with no pickup. The package was returned to us and we refunded the product but not the shipping, which is our standard policy as stated on the website. The customer called in today 7/22 and asked why he didn't get the cost of shipping back, and the Internet Manager calmly explained our policy.
Absolutely horrible customer service. Their system messed up an order and hipped it to walgreens. They just keep blaming us. When we ask to have the shipment name changed they say they can't. We have spoken to fedex and they said all the shipper has to do is call and they can change it. Even though it's alcohol they still require 21 signature but can change name. Internet wines refuses to call and do that and just tells us we are unreasonable. Just avoid them and go to a place like Leukens
In addition, the "Ship to Walgreens" box is not automatically selected on our website. We tried to explain that, but the customer wouldn't listen.
I thought my experience of buying Scotch was going to be a good one,, but I was sadly disappointed. Customer service is very poor, they don't respond to emails, Can't get through on the phone, and I ended canceling my order. After canceling my order they haven't issued a refund. I can't recommend these folks.
This company has NO idea what they are selling at ALL! Their listings are incorrect because they can't tell one bottle from another! I even called to confirm what I was buying and it was wrong! NEVER again will I buy from this company again!
Be careful when ordering from this site. Customer service is non-existant. Not only did I received the wrong item, they do not address the problem, and ignore you. I have tried e-mailing them and got nowhere, called them and got nowhere. I was sent the wrong item and overcharge for the item
Submitted an order for a bottle no longer in production and entered all of my information. Days later I received an email stating they could not ship it to me due to their inability to 'cross state lines'. When I called, the woman I spoke with at the store IN MY STATE did not even allow me to finish my sentence before transferring me to a man who said too bad so sad. I will avoid this company and I advise you to do the same if you actually want a hard to find product.
In response to Suzie's comment below: The man absolutely told me "too bad" and you were not on the phone when this occurred so I am curious how you can call me a liar? You only have one address listed for your company and it is in IL. You need to split your locations to correctly reflect the products available rather than continue to screw your potential customers by posting false data (products you do not have and/or cannot ship). You clearly do not have any remorse for for my experience which helps prove my point... so thanks for that. You are showing everyone just how terrible your customer service is.
Before you purchase from Internet Wines, ask yourself if this is what you want to deal with if you do have to contact them.
We have 2 warehouse locations: one in Missouri, one in Illinois. Unfortunately, this item is only available to ship from our Missouri location, and the purchaser above was ordering from Illinois. We cannot legally transfer items between our warehouses due to state liquor laws. As for someone telling the customer "too bad so sad", we do not speak like that to customers at this company.
The newer year is $3-4 cheaper all over the Internet, would not make it right.
They did refund shipping.

Entered my "prior" claim on tues... delivered on thurs. This is the best club ever since they don't send you stuff you didn't order.
I placed a order for a special occasion last Thursday and ordered 8 bottles of 8 bottles Balvenie 21yr & 4 Bottles of Balvenie 17yr totaling over $2200
Called in the next day to make sure it was all available and ready to ship the rep told me everything looks great and will ship out in 24hrs on Monday to arrive on time for my occasion the following Friday. He promised me i would have it on time for my party.
I call back today to get my tracking and the same rep says well we cancelled your order because your credit card declined.
BS my card has a $30k limit and it doesn't even show as the charge was attempted to be charged.
Never received a cancellation email and no communication from them in regards to my order.
You would think on a $2200 purchase they would give a rats $#*! to call me and resolve the issue and get my order shipped.
Unfortunately for me Not. I highly recommend for you not to waste your time with them. They are the worst and could care less about their customers. Please Run FAST
Order was placed after our business hours on 9/10, and received 9/11. Any order over $300 we need to verify the shipping address for security purposes. For this order, we could not verify the recipient address, therefore we cancelled the order on 9/11 and a cancellation email was sent that day. The customer contacted us on 9/14 asking where his order was, but by then, it was too late (per customer) to send the package. Customer was irate over the phone and said we "promised the package would ship" on a certain day. We don't promise anything due to issues that may arise with deliveries from our suppliers, FedEx, etc. Emails from our website may end up in a spam folder, so customers need to check there. If the customer would have called back in a timely matter to discuss the order, we could have gladly resolved any issues. Because customers put off their orders until the last minute, we cannot make up for lost time, but unfortunately, we get blamed for their negligence.

Customer placed order on Thursday at 6pm, past the 9am cutoff time for Overnight delivery orders. We processed the order on Friday morning and the package was delivered Monday.
