I can not believe what a pile of crap this site is now. I have used intellicast for years without any issues. I log on today to check out the current weather conditions and the site a horrendous mess. There is no simple way to locate the radar... after 10 minutes of trying to find it, the map that does load looks like something a toddler finger painted. There is no clear graphics at all. Why on earth would you ruin a perfectly functioning website?
I feel 1 star is to much. It does get worse, 0 star! Really enjoyed the old intellicast website. Do not understand why it was changed to something so terrible. Pop ups all over, very slow, hard to navigate, maps sucks, type in town it sends me somewhere completely different. Not a fan I'm switching to another site! I want the old intellicast back!
This site was my go-to and they ruined it. The interactive map is tiny, you have to work too hard to find what you need. Used to be so good! No more. On to Weather.com or whoever else does weather. Too bad.
You ruined a user friendly site I depended on. I particularly miss historic averages which were amazingly useful when planning what to pack when I traveled. I am shopping for another site. It's really too bad. The temperature and likelihood of precipitation graph often don't even show on the 10 day graph. You totally trashed the best weather site ever.
Noticeable decline in quality since IBM got involved. Seems like everything IBM gets invoved with turns into a disaster. An example is the Phoenix pay system for the government of Canada. Check it out for yourselves.
Is there any website that has a weather program like Intellicast or even close? This is the most disappointing thing. If it were just anything close I could live with it. But underground should do just that. Bury it and bring back the intillicast actions to use. Heck, I would pay for it monthly or yearly. This was stupid
They just took down the only good remnant of the whole IBM - the old Intellicast animated radar from WSI@ http://96.8.93.198/ If anyone knows where a bootleg or good radar site is please let us all know! WGN is the closest I've found but they've bloated & sold out their website too. Are all these companies so desperate for cash and clicks they can't even put a good simple page out?
Here's the old intellicast http://96.8.93.198
They want a hundred characters before I can post this. Blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah.
How ridiculous to ruin the best weather maps and site out there? Wunderwhatever ruined the most useful site. Not only is this stupid but it's also dangerous. We had a tornadic event about two weeks ago and was trying to get info and radar on where it was and found that intellicast was bought out or whatever and is no longer around and instead this totally useless other site is now there. Really needed intellicasts radar mapping to find out where to go! This is stupid and dangerous!
Intellicast was a great site, able to navigate easily with great detail and useful information. Now the Idiocracy team stepped in and made what was once great into something useless. Well done, Dumberground, for taking something useful and making it awful. It must be a government site.
Talk about Fu@#ing up a junkyard, how hard is it US Government? Sell out to the lowest bidder? Again?
Why should I want an up to the minute, high density interactive weather map? Oh that's right, I'm supposed to be a victim, sorry, I forgot...
Once upon a time there was a site called Intellicast. You could pinpoint your local weather down to the street you live on. You could see where the rain stopped or started. Now it's just a memory or legend. So sad! I will not carry on with Weather Underground, ancient DOS looking crap!
I gave up on the new version that is designed so poorly and takes so many clicks it simply is not worth keeping in my bookmarks. Very disappointed when a change goes to the worst. It use to be great now its not worth looking at. Please bring back the old version!
So many things about this site suck that I do not know where to start. Most of all it will not save location or prefs. This is not weather it is an ad campaign that is so BUSY that there is no time or screen space for the weather. Slow Slow Slow because of all the ads loading. I understand where ads fit in the business but is this nan AD SITE or a WEATHER SITE? Looks in every way an ad site. How about being reasonable?
The original Intellicast maps and weather were very good and always loaded without issues.
The new direction using Weather Underground is pathetic. The maps do not load as shown and the options are a mess. Why the change from a very good site to one that offers confusion and regardless of the requested input of state, New York it goes to California. Someone in Intellicast needs to look at the views and fix the mess. Also I do not need ads overlaying the views.
This new radar map is hard to navigate. Too many clicks and searching for the way I'd like my radar map to look like. Once I set the map up and saving preference's, the next time I open it up It wasn't saved. Start all over again. I'm guessing the old mighty dollar had something to do with the change. Will definitely be using a different radar site until they come to their senses and change it back.
Short answer: "It Sucks!"
Long Answer: "Weather Underground?" Really?
Weather Underground: The Weather Underground Organization (WUO), commonly known as the Weather Underground, was a radical left militant organization active in the late 1960s and 1970s, founded on the Ann Arbor campus of the University of Michigan. Originally called Weatherman, the group became known colloquially as the Weathermen. Weatherman organized in 1969 as a faction of Students for a Democratic Society (SDS)[2] composed for the most part of the national office leadership of SDS and their supporters. Their political goal, stated in print after 1974, was to create a revolutionary party to overthrow U.S. imperialism. / https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Weather_Underground
I don't know who took over it, but they sure f... ed it up. I used this all the time, but now, forget it. It is another Internet piece of trash. Is there a choice for zero stars?
Loved the old Intellicast, now with Wunderground it is horrible. Why take something functional and turn it into a useless site? Well, it's all about the ads of course. Have to find a new go to weather site.
I found Intellicast.com YEARS ago and until recently loved everything about it until they switched to underground or whatever the hell they are calling it. I for one WILL NOT be using this! They have a link that says Intellicast Maps... but hardly any of the maps I used are there and it doesn't allow you to click on an area to bring up that local radar either. I just don't understand why they would have such a RADICAL change... advertisers - take note! I'd be asking for data analytics because I'm sure their number of users will be dropping DRASTICALLY! Signed, a very frustrated Intellicast.com user
