An amazing hydro shop! This place has everything you need to get started or upgrade or whatever. The coolest thing by far is all their grow information, I have never seen such detailed and helpful information!
Well, where to begin... the outrageous customer service lady, who answers the company 800 number with a hasty and angry "hello," or the outright lack of business functionality? Do yourself a huge favor, go to your local shop or a tried and true like a hydroponics.net or your own favorite.
Ordered an assortment of products from them. Had to fill out a form to get items shipped to a different address than my billing address, which was fine.
However, two of the items were out of stock, and would be shipped within a few days, separate from the order. The items that were in stock were shipped to the billing address. Even the packing slip had the proper shipping address on it. So after finally getting customer service on the phone the address was corrected. Then I had to wait another week for the other items to get in stock.
To be fair, some free product was thrown in as an apology for the inconvenience, so I can't say they're not trying, but with the constant delays and shipping mistakes, however, I would not recommend them.
Horrible service! I ordered a lighting system along with a tri-meter a month ago and i still havent recieved my purchased items. Every time i call i hear the same old " We should be recieveing it next week. Call back". Not to mention i had to do the math myself and find out that they over charged me. Save yourself the hassle go local and spend the extra cash, better to spend a little extra then to be sitting a month waiting for things you already paid for.
The customer service is out of control, they go way beyond the call of duty to help you fully understand the product you desire.The website is easy to navigate and the turn around time from the service dept is excellent. I would recommend this site to anyone who wants hydroponic growing information and supplies.
I recently ordered a several different light packages from them and received them within the week. However, one of my hoods was on back order for another week. They sent it to be after assuring they would and I got it the following week. My bulb went out after two months of use and they quickly exhanged my bulb free of charge
Don't know if the review I just typed worked so I'll summarize this one. Had a backordered temperature controller on my first order and waited nearly a week until I got a call from a rep. Said they would upgrade my shipping and when the package arrived it had great white samples... stuff is not cheap. Above and beyond on the makeup for the backorder. 4 stars for that, still need work on the backorders though.
They have he cheapest prices on the web and I built my whole room for around 700.00 bucks! Now I shop there all the time. Call and ask for Kay, shes really helpful and sounds reallll cute on the phone.
I ordered predatory mites, received a confirmation via email and began to wait. Over 2 weeks later after not receiving a package or communication I began trying to get in contact with these people. I tried three different numbers multiple times and finally got through when calling the store directly. I told them my situation and was hung up on. I called paypal to cancel the payment to find it was never processed. Then later I received an email saying they could not ship the mites via the shipping option on their website.
So to recap you use their site and pay, they cant complete the order so they say nothing for weeks then you have to bend over backwards to find out why and still end up at zero. Good business practice there, its no wonder the web is filled with negative reviews I should ave listened to. Dont be fooled either by the response that all these negative complaints are for a different company. THIS company, selling plant goods, sucks and you should be very careful if you choose to ignore all the warnings and try to purchase something anyway.
A website that talks to you!?! Maybe I'm still a bit of an internet rookie, but I thought that only the big corporate companies like Verizon or AT&T offered an instant chat feature on their websites, not just some online hydro-shop. But that's the first surprise I found when I was searching for a cheaper alternative to my local "rip-off" hydro stores.
So when I saw that little button that said "Chat" and decided to put it to the test, most likely an outsourced feature, right? Again I was surprised to find that there was a real person on the other end and that they actual had very credible information. I asked them about "beneficial" bacteria and fungi and they gave me a lot of good info, and of course included links to purchase. I can't complain about the shipping or other customer services because I've always gotten what I ordered, and on time, but then again people love to complain on these review sites. Overall I've really benefited from the prices and info from igrow, and if you can't tell, I really dig that "Chat" feature! If you are a dedicated hydro-hobbyist like me, then don't let a few bad reviews turn you off from this cool hydro site!
Ordered a lighting system there, it came right on time. However there was a missing part. Called customer service and they sent it. Possibly would recommend.
I ordered a few things from them... one item was back ordered for a week, which I was understanding about... these things happen. Then I received my order and a part was missing which made everything work. I contacted them and they promised to overnight the part that was missing and they did, but it was the WRONG PART. I called them talked to them on the phone and they were helpful at first and informed me that it was actually the manufacturer that had sent the wrong part. I sent them an email to show that the plug wouldn't fit my light and then they started getting very rude saying "WELL, WHAT DO YOU WANT ME TO DO ABOUT IT?" Umm, well I'm sure as a business owner you are suppose to satisfy your customers and make sure your orders turn out right. I then found out my ONE week back-order was going to be 2 so I told them to forget it and take it off of there. I don't want to deal with them anymore. My correct part is suppose to come maybe Saturday, but most likely Monday. Great... what a waste of time. I should have just spent an extra $70 and went local. I would NEVER recommend igrowhydro and since they did little to work with me... I'll make sure I write this same review on EVERY review place I find. Thanks for nothing.
THIS PLACE IS A RIPPOFF! It has been almost a month since I placed my order. I have tryed to contact the company with no success. Never will i deal with them again
