The customer service is great however they have horrible organization and shipping times. Placed an order on sunday, a very large order and I had to wait till Thursday for them to get the parts and they shipped it on Monday. I placed a similar order with horticulturesourceand it got here three days from when I placed the order, and the orders were very similar. Now THAT'S quality service.
I bought a light system (reflector bulb ballast) from them had to wait an extra two weeks for the ballast understandable. When I plugged the ballast in it was making a loud buzzing noise, I was concerned about the noise so I looked in the book that came with it.It said some ballasts make a loud humming noise and if its making excessive noise to have it checked out. I emailed igrowhydro my concern their response was some ballasts make a lot of noise and I should consider upgrading to a digital ballast.So I called the manufacturer (sun light supply) tech described the sound and they said it could be a bad igniter. I then called igrowhydro and spoke with Kay and told her about the problem for a second time. I told her I contacted sunlight supply about the noise and I wanted an even exchange, pretty simple I thought keep the customer happy after I waited two extra weeks and when I plugged it in it could possibly be bad. Wrong thinking on my part Kay told me "if the light was working then there's no problem some magnetic ballasts make a lot of noise that it can be annoying and theres nothing they can do about it and I should upgrade"she told me that three times like it was her only defense.So I told her I wanted an even exchange and to ship me a new ballast and I'd ship the bad one back. Kay said she'd have to charge me a 50% restocking fee and they couldn't sell the one I shipped back, way would they charge a restocking fee if they can't sell it? I then told her my opinon of the situation to keep the customer happy by doin the even swap after the aggrevation I had. She wouldn't budge and said the only way I would get a new is if the ballast stopped working completely.In my frustration I told her I was gonna drop it on the ground to break it or spray water on it, she told me she was gonna put that on my account that I said that. Kay's customer service was awful she was in no way making an effort to help. Shame on me for not doin my homework on this awful company before I made my one and only purchase from them. I will be posting this lack of customer service on every review site I find.
