In less than a year of using Ibotta I have earned over $500 dollars. It's easy to cash out your earnings, set up your shopping trips either in store or online. I don't know why anyone would not use this program. Great care and response from customer service. It's $$$ in your pocket for buying brands and products you use. Try it!
My Winn Dixie card doesn't link with Ibotta! I've tried all suggestions such as removing the card and then adding it back to no avail. I usually have to take a receipt picture which is almost impossible to capture correctly. Very frustrating since I purposefully buy certain items for the points.
There are a few things about ibotta that drive me crazy, like the fact that if you don't have the item saved but it's on your scanned receipt they won't say hey look what you missed! Or the fact that getting my Walmart account to sync was quite a task. Other than that I Truly love the app the savings are worth the effort more often than not.
I think Ibotta has a good system of simply allowing users to add items to their list and then earning a variety of cash back prices. If I am going to purchase items/products, why not get cash back right? Ibotta is a great way to earn money on the purchases you will buy anyway and if you are patient and allow your funds to grow those funds can be used as "petty cash" for whatever you like!
I am really enjoying saving money, but I believe that the app could be more user friendly. That being said I've noticed several improvements to make the app more acceptable in working with other apps and adding more choices. Im going to continue to use Ibotta because I believe that they are listening to their customers just wish improvements came quicker maybe that has something to do with our societies current situation with the pandemic maybe not
Tip for consumers:
Give it some time to learn the app hopefully it gets easier with more customer service

Grocery store items
Use this app almost every time I shop for weekly errands in addition to online shopping. The savings earned help pays for my weeks or more worth of groceries when budget gets tight.
I do wish the desktop version allows an extension page for Mac and not just PC web browsers.
Tip for consumers:
Use scan products feature when you are unsure a product is covered by “coupon” at a grocery store.

I have withdrawn my money from ibotta twice for about $30 a pop, other than having a complicated process to redeem your money (I use venmo), it seems legit. However when I've done large purchases and redeemed over $10 on a receipt it will sometimes be pending for a lot longer than it should - I think this is where the fraud claims come in. I've never been locked out of my account but I don't know if it would if I really started buying all of my things 100% through ibotta. So my advice, if you're going to do it, take it out quick and don't try to outsmart the system
Just getting started with my Ibotta experience! So far it's been great! Who doesn't like immediate rewards on the sometimes unpleasant chore of grocery shopping. My only suggestion is I would like to see more everyday grocery items, the basics! Not everyone is in to all that new fangled healthy stuff. But so far I'm loving it!
Like most apps, the more you use it, the more you discover what's available. While there aren't as many offers that appeal to me for specific grocery items (although I have found several even at Walmart) the cash back just from shopping at stores really adds up.
Also the digital gift cards are RACKING it up for me. New specials pop up all the time, like 5% cash back at REI, but I saw some with 15%. YAY. It was worth a couple extra clicks to get cash something that I needed anyway.
The other biggie has been Viator. I usually book tours with various apps when on vacation, but now I use them exclusively and have earned over a hundred bucks on fun tours that we had planned to do anyway.
I certainly won't get rich using ibotta, but since I enjoy online shopping and bargain hunting, it's totally worth it.
Tip for consumers:
Once you get in the habit of shopping through the app (or using the Ibotta extension on your browser, you’ll find MANY offers.
I've been collecting extra cash back for about 3 years now, well so far I've collected over 1500. 00 cash back how sweet is that. My wife told me for the first year it was a waste of time, but after she got her first Amazon gift card for 350.00 she was like where did you get that from. If I can do it so can you.
I have to check the deals at several different stores before I go shopping. It takes me a little more time.
You invited me.
I have been using this app for a year now and have cashed out over $60 successfully. They have great bonuses for completing a certain amount of offers which motivates me to do more and save more. Recently, I hit the $20 mark again and trying cashing out but keep getting error messages. I contacted support and they said they have been working on the issue with cash out to PayPal and it will work again once they come out with an app update. I am hoping that this is true and will happen soon.
So far I have no complaints. I had it on my phone for years and never used it. I have been lucky and already am up to $23.00 in less then a month. They have my yogurt on sale and Ive gotten some bonuses. I know each month will not be as good.
The only thing I would change, is to see what you have unlocked before you go to the store. Im ready to cash out.
Ibotta works very quickly to calculate and award your rewards. I love being able to shop either online or in the store to earn rewards. I was hesitant about using this app at first but now I'm so glad I did! Thanks Ibotta
I have been using this IBOTTA app for about 7 years off and on. Haven't used it in about a year and decided to use today while grocery shopping. I made $15 in one shopping trip today at Wal-Mart. I had stopped actively using the app because it seemed to take a while to reach the $20 cashout threshold (this was not originally a requirement). After today, I am excited to say that I will be back actively using the app for more cash rewards.
Getting harder to scan purchases. Having to re-enter sales slip several times when it looks fine on my phone.
My daughter in law referred me to this app and i was convinced it would work and now i live for it i just hit the the $250 club in less than 6 months of using it. I honestly can not figure out how they get bad reviews people must not understand how to use it. It was a little complicated at first but once you get the hang of it it can actually save you so much money.
Tip for consumers:
when using the site you can stack coupons which makes your savings even better

Went good but still learning the process. Going to keep on using.
I just started this in November this year and I'm at $69.67. Nice especially since I don't use coupons anymore.
I only wish they had a bigger selection of the gift cards you can redeem your cash for, but you can opt for the cash to your PayPal or checking account.
I save on every day items and donate to charity all because of Ibotta.
Nothing happened. No response.Mo
One of my son's friends posted her earnings on Facebook.
Ibotta is a great way to save money. They offer many retailers where I shop both in store and online and a wide selection of products. I got a Butterball turkey free for Thanksgiving along with many side dishes to go with it!
Like the app, but dislike having to scroll through to select items. Wish it would automatically select from the scanned receipt.
Great App good way to earn money on thing u buy i just have a hard time earning bc on the limit of items u have to buy to receive cash back on certain items but overall I love the app im still new so im still learning but great app
Tip for consumers:
U have to but limited amounts of items to be able to earn money so u have to buy more than one of something most times to earn cash back

Only issue I've encountered is not ibottas fault, the stores just simply are not stocking enough of the items or not stocking the items at all that Ibotta is featuring many times. Perhaps there's a way to open communication between Ibotta and merchants like Walmart, dollar general, Walgreens etc... Thanks for offering families a way to save and be able to try more products!

GM everyone, I have a question, I thought that if I buy 5 offers products the same brand qualify like 5 offer, no just as one:(
I'm missing a bonus because is just one offer.
As a lifetime couponder and bargain hunter I enjoy Ibotta more for entertainment than the money earned. The time investment outweighs the financial gains but Ibotta is more fun than BINGO or those dumb scratch-off cards. 9
Tip for consumers:
You’re going to buy it anyway why not get a bit of extra change back via Ibotta ?

$ for buying groceries I would have bought anyway.
Ibotta is a great way to earn cash back on your everyday purchases. I wish they would add more popular products like Mountain Dew, Pepsi, Gain, Dawn, Tide, Angel Soft, Cantu, and etc. I see more odd or extremely expensive products. I guess I would like them to follow receipts and get the more popular products people purchase verses the really expensive products that most people don't purchase. I also wish they worked like Fetch but they don't.
