Connie, one of the staff, has made homophobic comments and this is not okay. Told me that the idea of having a same sex NPC couple is considered "controversial" and "offensive" in some countries and therefore nothing regarding anything LGBT can ever be added to the game. Okay, in some countries, having women and people of color NPC characters would be considered "controversial" and "offensive" too-- yet they still exist in the game? Also told me that it was their "policy" that if anything LGBT was added, it would have to change the rating of the game from "G" to "T" or "M" for mature? Are you kidding me? What about homosexuality are you trying to imply is somehow inappropriate and "offensive"? It also bothers me that the word "gay" is banned from the game. I am beyond hurt by the reply I received, especially because I approached them very kindly and privately with a gentle suggestion to make the game more inclusive. I am honestly surprised and appalled that Miranda and Joe (the owners) stand for this kind of bigotry from one of their employees. The Horse Isle team needs to catch up with the rest of the country in recognizing discrimination for what it is.

I love this game to death, I have played since HI2 eternal and loved HI 2 life cycle. I am now playing HI 3 in addition to HI2LC. I love breeding ethics and all the other stuff entailed with it. HI 3 definitely gets you some interesting foals. I would recommend it to anyone!

However! Beware!

It seems that they are tracking computers and phones that log into your account because without giving them any info, they somehow have all of my computer information and phone information. I feel they are using this to track every players movements. This makes me very uncomfortable in a lot of ways because that in invasion of privacy. So if you do play, be careful!

I play horse isle 2: lifecycle, and it's such an adorable game honestly. It doesn't take too long to figure out how to play, and has plenty of tutorials if you choose to use them. If you love horses, questing and a little bit of mystery or magic you'll like this! It's free to play but you can get a subscription for added benefits but it's really nice because you don't need one to quest or breed horses or play mini games or buy things or anything that's required to continue the game. Just little perks. Also, you can buy subscriptions with in game money from people who bought it with real money and they also have a referral program and a reading program where you could get a free subscription if you can't buy it with real money. Support staff has been nothing but kind to me, not sure what the other people were talking about. And I've never gotten banned for no reason, I've gotten violation points for good reasons (some of the rules I didn't know about but it's ok because the support staff understand not everybody knows all the rules and are patient and kind) and learned from them. They don't ban or give violation points out for no reason like some of the people here are saying. I've learned LOTS from this game. I've learned how to manage money, how to make friends, and there's a lot of quests that teach (for example) how to bake things and will give instructions that you can use later on in your life! Like the other day I learned how to bake bread from an NPC and it was accurate information that I could use in the real world. I've learned some facts, and names of different plants and animals. And literally you never ever ever run out of things to do! It's great! I love this game and everybody has done such an AMAZING job with it I'm so proud of them. And they update pretty frequently too! Wouldn't recommend if you can't or don't want to keep up the subscription constantly.

When a player is over their horses limit your inventory gets blocked, no matter the amount of items in it. Basically, you can't even play the game cause your inventory is needed for questing or gathering!

I have been playing HorseIsle 2 Eternal since 2010 - I was 12; and have been playing ever since. It's weird to think that all of my teenage years were surrounding these little virtual ponies, but I wouldn't give it up for anything. This game helped to teach me about money management and how to invest, even if it was on a virtual scale. Obviously as a 20 year old, I don't tell my friends that I am still playing this game that I loved as a child but still can't seem to leave lol. One thing I think set this game apart from all the other horse games out there is the fact you can interact with other players in a virtual setting. I could never get into the games where you just see pictures of the horses, as I enjoy playing mini-games and completing quests on top of owning/training my horses. I would highly recommend HI2 to anyone who loves horses and virtual game play.
The *ONLY* reason I don't give it 5 stars is because in recent years the number of active players has gone drastically down. There used to be 100 players on at any given time, and now I'm lucky to see more than 50 on ever. Prices for subscriptions and tokens have also hit an all time high, so it's difficult, for new players or players who are attempting to get back into the game after a leave, to ever earn a sub token. Other than that, I love this game; Mirage & Jor, and all of the Mods have done such a wonderful job to make HI2 such a fun/interactive place to be and it will continue to draw me back for years to come.

It's a very good game when you can actually play it... Except when you get your account banned. Mrs Corn Connie... she was rude towards my sister when she tried getting her account back. I feel they NEED new people running this game ASAP! Don't waste your time trying to get your account back if you get banned (they feed off reading desperate emails). Take this review into consideration. Play it, get banned and see for yourself how hard it is to get you account back from corny.

I had been a player since 2007 and I loved it. I made some great lifelong friends on there, but where there are great players there are some horrible ones. You add the wrong person and they send in false reports and the admins/mods automatically give you a violation, regardless of whether or not it is true. As for the staff, I had only ever "worked" with Connie. How she still has a job working for them is beyond me. She is rude and unfair. Her favoritism is absolutely horrible. I had lots of friends on there. Some would say they had 20+ violations and never got banned, while others would have 6 (they are supposed to check up on your account at 10) and they are banned for months. I had a friend who had 50+ violations at once and they were still an active player. No warning, nothing. I got permed after having false accusations said against me and when I asked Connie for the proof she completely ignored me. Therefore, there is no proof. Every person I had talked to about their experience with Connie was all negative. If I could give the founders any advice, I would say get rid of Connie and find someone who is nicer to their CUSTOMERS.

Good to begin with but becomes very samey after a while. Admins and mods tend to have a bit of an attitude and the other players are out for themselves and don't tend to be very helpful or considerate. Play for free but I wouldn't, and haven't, bothered to subscribe more than once.

I like this site I really do. But there are pros & there are cons, as every site has.

The support staff is off & on. They're nice if you get the right one (Connie, Joe or Miranda). Autumn is nice but not my most favoured support staff. I admittedly made a moderator rant video that I neither regret nor am ashamed of. I made it well aware of what I was doing. I had 5 likes & 3 dislikes but took it down because people wouldn't stop contacting me about IT, nothing else. Just "the video". Hey, I think we all know that there are some mods that aren't the best. But with the way the players took it, I e-mailed support. I was excited that Connie replied. She created a forum & I noticed the mod that I usually disliked was different. It was a good change.

I also have found myself asking about violations many times. Some of them make sense but some of them are ones that make you laugh. Sometimes when I would write in the forums, I found that some players would take it upon themselves to take the matter into their own hands when they knew little to nothing of the matter. There are some real suck-ups.

But that's it: Every game is made up of players. & the players aren't the game. So with the "Mute" player feature, my playing has been enjoyable besides the two little obstacles.

I played HI1 for three years; HI2 for two years; and HI2: LC since it came out, maintaining subscribed accounts on all three games. I have appreciated the regular updates and the commitment the game makes to professional behavior. I find some aspects of the game, such as the chat filter, to be restrictive; but as an adult playing a child's game, I can recognize and appreciate the measures taken to ensure that the game is safe for the target age group. As a paying customer, I appreciate that the administration and support staff stand by the site's rules in determining whether to permanently or temporarily remove a player's privilege of spending time on the game, rather than allowing paying players to consistently break rules because the game wants the revenue. That has helped to keep the games enjoyable for me over the course of the last five years.
