I ordered an RC Helicopter from this site, which took two weeks to receive. Once I received the helicopter, I could not get it to work with the transmitter. It took a number of days to contact HobbyTron; phones go unanswered, emails unanswered, although the chat on their site was eventually responded to (after about 20 minutes, that was the quickest response).
I told them I wanted to return item for a refund; they said I'd have to fill out a form and get an RMA. So I did that, sent the item back at my own cost, and waited. After about 10 days I checked the delivery confirmation and found that they had received it, so I got on their chat and asked about the status. (that was another long wait) I was told I could have a replacement shipped (in about 3 weeks) or a store credit. I told them I just wanted the charge reversed on my card. They said since I opened the box they couldn't refund my money.

They are a Google trusted store... I contacted Google, got strung along for several days, offered a $ 50.00 gift card for my trouble, and told that that's Hobbytron's policy if the box is opened, store credit.

I don't want a store credit, and have to extend the piss poor experience with this POS company.

I would avoid these thieves at any cost - and as for 'Google Trusted', that's just a big joke.

STOP WHAT YOU ARE DOING! This site is a rip off bought a airsoft gun and it jammed and broke in less than 2 hours and every gun is a cheap piece of plastic that shoots. I wasted $100 in a 8 cheap pieces of plastic only good thing i got was a speed reloader. I am NOT kidding do NOT BUY FROM THIS SITE!

Never again

I bought a remote control air plane for my son for Christmas and when plane arrive the battery was dead on arrival. After some email back and forth I had to pay $15 to send the plane back for exchange, second plane arrived after one week and when my son opened it the motor was hanging from fuselage, I had to pay another $15 to ship the plane back and after another week we got the same plane back except the motor was tightened in. Finally we could go to park an try the plane, so we charge the battery and we had about 10 minutes flying time before we were back in the house to recharge the battery only to find out that battery does not take any charge. I sent an email to Hobbytron and asked them about the problem. When they got back to me after 5 days they said the warranty does not cover the battery since I charged it once, I was very disappointed and frustrated so I called them and talked to customer service and then to the manager but to no success, I paid $153 plus another $30 for shipping for this plane only because it came with 90 days warranty where I could buy it from Vortex for $95. So hobbytron sold me a worthless product with worthless warranty, Don't Be sucker like me and don"t buy from Hobbytrn. Hobbytrn has 244 Complaints against it on Consumer affair website, check it out before you make your decision.

We purchased an airsoft gun for our son at Christmas... who has yet to be able to play with the gun. We paid a good price for the TM model (remember, you get what you pay for), but still paid several hundred dollars for the airsoft gun and accessories. The TM box that the gun came in had 8 pieces removed with a razor blade. The gun had scratches, AND THE SERIAL NUMBER WAS SCRATCHED OFF! We question if the gun was used... or worse. We ordered several bags of pellets, and 2 of the bags were broken in the box. We needed clarification on the correct batteries to use with the gun model, but there were NO instructions on how to operate the gun. We attempted to contact Hobbytron multiple times via e-mail and phone. No messages have been returned, and we could never get a live person to speak with us on the phone (as it was clear after waiting for over an hour that there would be no promised Hobbytron rep responding). There are other reputable (on-line) airsoft gun companies out there, so avoid doing business with this company. Shame on you Hobbytron!

I purchased two airsoft pistols pistols that the triggers broke as soon as I unpackaged them and put the batteries in them, I didn't even get to see them shoot. Bad business If ya ask me

Ordered an airsoft gun. It arrived with a broken handle. They issued an RMA, but catch 22. YOU CAN'T RMA THINGS THAT HAVE BEEN OPENED! The airsoft gun was in a box that you just like the top off to see what is inside. The handle was broken. How would I know it is broken otherwise? At the very least you get store credit or a replacement (I still want the gun so replacement works). But they lock you into their company even if you feel like taking your money elsewhere. So basically you can only RMA things if you order it and never open it and don't want it, but I mean, you ordered it...

Customer service was decent, but when I said the handle was "$#*!ing" broken the rep responded with a threat to disconnect me and block future chats for swearing. As if it was a hostile remark at them or as if I had been on a swearing rampage. It was one word, once. I directed no anger at them. I don't see "swear" words as "bad" words and use variations of "$#*!" to describe things. Just as $#*!ING broken handles. I use it casually so it just sorta came out. I probably wouldn't have used a "swear" word again anyway. But being threatened to not be helped because of a swear word? Come on, that is bad customer service.

My 13-year-old son purchased an air soft gun from this store for about $150 using his birthday money. From the time he took it out of the box, it never worked. He tried two separate times and even used different ammo. When I tried to contact the company at their main number, it rang, and rang, and rang, and no one EVER answered. I tried SEVERAL times on DIFFERENT days with no answer. I submitted an online request for an exchange and it was denied. I then tried SEVERAL more times to contact the company. Finally, someone answered and I was told I had to go online and submit another claim because they couldn't help me over the phone. I did exactly what they said and waiting another 5 or so days for a response. My request was denied AGAIN. I then spent a couple hours trying to reach someone on the phone. After being transferred to the manager, she said there was no way they would refund his money and that I had to go online and submit the claim AGAIN because she can't help me. SERIOUSLY?! When I went to the BBB to file a complaint, I saw this company has almost 200 other complaints. I'm not surprised! I can accept getting a bad product if the company is willing to make it right, but screwing a child out of his money and then not answering the calls or handling the issue is just WRONG!

I recently used hobbytron.com to purchase four airsoft weapons for cheap affordable prices in hopes to use those weapons for filming short film video projects. One of the four guns I ordered was advertised as small, which I did not notice at the time. Upon arrival I intended to return the gun in hopes to exchange it for a larger one. When my package arrived I opened the box to discover that two of the other guns were also small guns. They were not advertised as small guns. No scale was provided at all, leading people to believe that they were of natural size. Upon this I became upset and immediately sought to return these weapons in exchange for refund. The process at which I needed to go through to fill out the proper paperwork for return was difficult. Links to return forms were not working properly. Finally I got the forms printed out, yet I still had questions to ask. Furthermore, the fourth weapon I purchased was defective. To this they informed me that they would send me a replacement. I sought to call their customer support line, trying to contact them three times. I called during there business hours, only to be informed that they were closed. A replacement gun had arrived in the mail, and it was different from the original gun that I had ordered. Apparently it is stated in their policies that they have every right to change the product you receive at their discretion. Finally on my fourth attempt to contact them by phone I was able to get a hold of a representative, and although my temper may not have been under control at this point. I, as the costumer, should not have been treated as rudely as I was. The operator on the other end gave me attitude, and was impolite. The operator acted in a way that seemed hostile, eager to hang up and end their conversation with me. They offered me no consolation for the money and time I had wasted with there company and services. On top of which, they informed me that under yet another policy, I was responsible for paying for the shipping and handling costs of returning the items that were sent to me under false pretenses. I suggest against the use of hobbytron.com, and hope that anyone looking to buy toys, or airsoft guns look elsewhere for a more reliable and friendly site.

Do yourself a Favor and spend your hard earned money somewhere else. Anywhere else. Or I guarantee you will be sorry. I barely got through their fake phone service to place the order which was a big red flag. After sitting on hold for ten minutes youre asked to leave a message and they do not return those calls (even after the holidays) they finally anwered and took my order then waited the entire week to ship it while lying to me that it had shipped. They sent me defective toys that I bought my children for christmas Morning and when i tried to call them of course they dont answer or return calls. The chat is a scam as well as the first rep refused to call me because "she was on the phone with fedex" but promised a supervisor would call. No call. Then the second rep gave me o number to reach a suervisor (ext 118 - Katie) but i onlly got fake voicemail several times. The third rep explained that i had to fill out an online RMA form which i did but it was fake too as i never heard back. So they will take your money (180 for me) but ignore you and hope you'll go away when yo realize youve been scammed. I now see all of the similar stories so i hope they get ran out of business or that karma will get them all :) The most unethical and pathetic business ive ever experienced. Very dissapointing for my children! Dave in AZ
