My husband and I joined The Hobbits Hole Roleplaying Group back in September 2006. It was our first time joining a club and playing table top roleplaying games. I had tried when I was younger and it was fun but I never found another group until this one.
I didn't understand the different types of dice until this club - everyone there were helpful in showing me which ones were which; I have played multiple gaming systems such as the well famous Dungeons & Dragons (not my favourite), Era, Savage Worlds, Call of Cthulhu (my absolute favourite), home brew gaming systems, Little Fears, Cyberpunk, and so forth.
If you're not a seasoned table top gamer or even someone who reads the rule books from cover to cover (myself included), don't worry about it. Unlike some gamers (that I met via Dragons Meet), we aren't snobs about it - we're all more than happy to help you understand how to play games - even whilst you are playing in one!
The great thing about this club is we all encourage one another to have fun; whether we are playing or running a game.
I definitely recommend this club to anyone who wants to start a new adventure - in real life and in our imaginations!
