I regret signing up with Hitched, as my experience has been extremely disappointing. There were clear discrepancies between what was promised and what was actually provided, and when I raised legitimate concerns, my complaint was handled poorly. It took 9 weeks and multiple follow-ups before I was finally able to have a conversation about my concerns, which is completely unacceptable. Despite multiple attempts to resolve the issue, I was repeatedly ignored or met with dismissive responses. Key information that was confirmed as being held on record was not provided in response to my Data Subject Access Request (DSAR), which raises serious concerns about transparency and compliance with data protection laws. Furthermore, when I challenged inaccurate statements and misrepresentation, my concerns were brushed aside. Instead of addressing the core issues, Hitched's approach was to defend their staff rather than investigate or resolve the matter properly. Their complaints process, which supposedly includes mediation, was also ignored without explanation. To make matters worse, I was falsely accused of being aggressive during a call, despite the fact that I was responding to inaccurate claims and, at one point, a verbal threat made towards me. Hitched refused to provide a transcript or recording of this call when requested. Their resolution was to simply delete my account and ban me from the platform in the future, rather than address the valid concerns I raised. This does not change the fact that my experience with them has been one of frustration, poor service, and a complete lack of accountability. If you're a wedding supplier considering using this platform, I strongly advise proceeding with caution. Would not recommend.
Leads have got poorer and poorer since new management.
Historic data's shows I would close around 1 in 4 new enquiries via hitched.
These days I am lucky to get 1 in every 20 to close. The leads are more that they have ever been but with a huge increase in cheap customers without a budget.
No pre qualification of leads.l resulting in unsuitable matches
Add this with a price increase of over 500% in just the last 3 years.
New management never seemed willing to listen to feedback.
Even my long term account manager quit working for hitched and I have had three new ones on the last 6 months so presumably toxic workplace as well.
Just tried to increase the cost of my premium pack listing by 30%.
Also tried to claim that sales generated through my own site were down to having my web address on their listing, however they could not provide evidence for this. Shock!
Hitched have removed my review after I chose to share an unfortunate experience engaging with Louise Holgate of Louise Holgate Photography of Kings Heath Birmingham. It would appear this company doesn't permit negative reviews, please be warned when checking their reviews of companies you could be otherwise minded to use! Also check out their Trustpilot reviews! Hitched have told me I had to be married first before I was able to leave a review! I will be letting ASA know but this was not made clear prior to leaving my review. Hopefully, other more reputable wedding review sites are available! https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/*******/hitched-co-uk-reviews-dont-trust-them
Absolutely shocking. It advertises wedding venues but as I tried to leave feedback that was 100% positive, however, 100% genuine, they wouldn't feature it as they only choose positive feedback choosen by the venues themselves, hence the rating is not reliable and obviously entirely useless. So couples may choose to have the most important day of their lives at a venue based on fabrications and I think that is really terrible. It is basically run by the venues rather than genuine feedback in the interest of the couples, Shame on you, www.hitched.co.uk
