Those are scammers. Changed the motorcycle and got my insurance cancelled. NBC stolen after 10 months of Insurance, no money back. THIEVES! STAY AWAY

Shocking company
February 28, 2023

Nov 22. Someone crashed into me.its now 28th of Feb 23.4 months waiting and still nothing sorted out. They said my car was a right off over the phone the day I rang up. Then last week they finally sent someone to come view my car he said fixable they have had it since sat 20th of Feb. Now the 28th of Feb and still no courtesy car. Enterprise told me they've not got one and they keep giving me different days to get one then there's not one in. Iv had it to day iv rang Hastings my insurance company. Put a formal complaint in then got transferred over to somebody who could actually tell me what's going on then had the phone put down on me in my opinion this is not a company it's a circus I would advise everybody out there to go with a different car insurance.

Accidentally damaged a ring and lost the stone. Despite repair cost being under the quoted 'value' they wouldn't pay out because the entire ring was worth more.?.. So, if you want a valued item repaired under insurance don't bother claiming.
Take good advice: *Go elsewhere*

Absolutely abysmal! We had our first flood in September and starting a claim was difficult - I phoned Hastings, they told me to call my underwriters. I called my underwriters, they said they weren't my underwriters and it's been changed. I called Hastings back, and I went around in circles for ages. Upon a surveyor visiting the property, we were told it's a health hazard to be living there - the flood was sewage water but Hastings didn't arrange accommodation despite having two young children!

Then we had the second flood of sewage water a month later and we were put into emergency accommodation. Long story short, 4 months later and NOTHING has been done. No work has started. We have no idea when we will return home.

They outsource everything including the company who arranges accommodation. They made me and my children homeless for a night by not extending my stay in error. No apology yet!

I then was forced to paying for my own caravan and didn't refund me for over a month.

They've again refused to extend my accommodation and delaying it so much that I'm due to be homeless by Friday! I've now had to pay £1200 for accommodation myself for 2 weeks. The excuse? There's a delay in processing approval for the extension - no good when they've known our check out date for a month.

Moving between accommodations with two young children every 2-4 weeks is stressful.

AVOID! I'll be taking my complaint higher as soon as this hell is over. Seeing us homeless twice now with two young children is beyond anything I've experienced in my life.

ZERO STARS - AVOID AT ALL COSTS
MENTALLY AND EMOTIONALLY DRAINING EXPERIENCE.

DAYS LATER I WAS TOLD IS WAS NOT ROAD WORTHY - MY INSURANCE COVERS FOR A COURTSEY CAR.
NO COURTSEY CAR FOR 3-4 WEEKS
NO UPDATES ON MY CAR
I WAS THEN TOLD I WAS PAYING FOR MY COURTSEY CAR BY THE HIRE COMPANY!
NO UPDATES
I WAS THEN TOLD (WHEN I CALLED FOR AN UPDATE) THAT MY CAR WAS A WRITE OFF - WHEN WERE THEY GOING TO TELL ME?
TOOK A FURTHER 2 WEEKS FOR A VALUATION (I WAS TOLD IT WOULD BE THE NEXT DAY).
AND NOW THEY AREN'T PAYING ME! AND I KEEP CHASING.

THIS IS BEYOND A JOKE NOW. THEY HAVE RECEIVED SEVERAL COMPLAINTS FROM ME, ONLY ONE HAS BEEN DEALT WITH.

NO CAR, NO UPDATES. NO PAYMENT - YET I HAVE TO PAY YOU A FULL YEARS CAR INSURANCE AND MY EXCESS.

UTTER JOKE OF A COMPANY.

MY COMPLAINT HAS BEEN ESCALATED TO THE FINANCIAL OMBUDSMAN SERVICE.

DO NOT USE!

I had car accident I claim for my car I'm waiting 16 days they didn't act and I'm struggling with my kids with my family it's a piece of liars
They was lying and playing with me and passed me to the recovery team for 16 days

Put a claim into my insurance company ( Hastings Direct), they took my car of the road for a drivers side mirror damage, organised a hire car with Enterprise, car was taken to local bodyshop and repaired, incident was not my fault so expected repair to be done without an issue, then I am told to get my car back I have to pay my excess and claim it back from third party, what do I pay insurance for,fully comprehensive with claims protection, only recently went with this company,I will not be renewing my policy, avoid this company at all cost or it will cost you.

We put a claim in for a collapsed drain 2 months ago, a simple enough fix under our buildings insurance, but they have done nothing. Constant emails & messages from me with no reply. I copied the CEO in on one and had a call from a senior manager who seemed to get things moving, but now he is also not returning calls. I am currently on hold and have been for 75 minutes to try and get something done. They are happy to take your premium, but it seems impossible to get them to do anything other than take your money.

Customer service farmed out to some African call centre that handles enquiries/complaints/claims from multiple companies. They couldn't care less about Hastings customers. I have cancelled my policy.

AVOID! Got conned

Paid my renewal, (I screened shot what they received back after payment) "Great,your cover continues.Thank you for renewing your ins policy..." But got no paper work come through as i was patient with them. I,called them to query it,they refunded me my money back! So was uninsured for 4 days! My renewal not valid...but i paid a month prior to be sure (I'm organised & to be safe) New quote they gave was $400 MORE "Whether i liked it or not" was mentioned. FUMMING. Go elsewhere guys,they're dodgy and they'll con you!

This company is a SCAM!

Someone drove into my car last week. It's over a week now and I still haven't got a courtesy car despite having a fully comprehensive policy. Hastings Direct passed the repair to Enterprise, then Enterprise allocated it to the local garage. I'm calling every single one of them daily and I'm being told a different story each time. The most shocking is that Hastings takes no responsibility after the claim is made. I'll escalate this matter to a higher instance.

Don't bother!

Appalling service! Made a claim for minor scratches on plastic bumper after idiot hit my parked car, took six weeks to collect, hours of phone call to all their associated companies and days off work to and no courtesy vehicle with my fully comp insurance. Now find that my £ 5000 value is unviable. It will now cost me to buy car back and won't be insurable by anyone other than Hastings Direct!
AVOID!

UTTER rubbish

UTTER rubbish.
Hastings direct are really quick to answer the phone when they want to take your premium HOWEVER try getting them to answer the phone when you have a claim is a VERY different matter. ONE HOUR AND FORTY FIVE MINUTES LATER AND STILL waiting.
I'll be insuring elsewhere next time!

You dont need to know the ins and outs of every bad review - you could not make up my experience with Hastings. Just be aware that if you ever have yo make a claim you are a dead man walking. Four months with no car and no settlemet by the least caring company it has been my misfortun to do business with.

This company are complete rogues when having to claim and settlement offers are thousands adrift from actual real world values for a similar car, from my shocking experience I would recommend you pay a tad more and use a company that will at least deal with claims professionally and don't try and wriggle out of paying correct total loss figures.
