Its been said here by many, dull blades, my face is a train wreck for using them had to stop and throw them away. Just awful, their trendy ads show up everywhere, they are good at that, the blades not worth a dime.
Very disappointed in these clumsy razors... they don't contour well on chin and other outer edges, and the single trimming blade is angled poorly so cuts below my nose when trying to trip top of moustache area. The savings are not worth the bleeding, I'm going back to Fusion.
Been using Harry's for years. Super convenient great razors. Don't have to worry about running out. Set your own amounts and deliveries. Always get an email ahead of time to check if I need more or less product or change it in any way.
I was going to give Harry's razors a second chance after buying into a set months ago and nearly running out. I figured after so many complaints, Harry would have fixed the auto-break installed into the razor head and started manufacturing sharp razors instead of the chain saws I received.
Fortunately for me, Harry decided to administer the coup de grace by pulling one of the oldest marketing ploys since P. T. Barnum started his circus...
A set of 8 was advertised for $16.00 along with a coupon for $5.00 off. At checkout the payment read $16.00 before applying the coupon. When I entered the coupon code instead of the price decreasing to $11.00 it shot up to $21.00 then down to $16.00 again. That low-down trick took the cake for me.
Bottom Line: RUN, don't walk from Harry's Razors. There's a reason why they're cheaper than Gillette. Same reason you can get Hoverboards and Galaxy 7's at firestorm prices nowadays.
Most of our coupon codes are for a free Post Shave Balm that is given when you sign up for a Free Trial, instead of $5 off. So you might have had the wrong code. Nevertheless, we're really sorry for your experience, Max. Contact our team directly at help@harrys.com or 888-212-6855 for any other questions or concerns.
So, like so many others I sought an alternative to expensive multi-blade razors. Having seen many of the $1 shave club ads as well as at least as many for Harry's, I made the decision to give it a try. I took the big plunge and ordered the best kit with 16 replaceable razor heads. Shipping was quick and problem free. My face and beard hated me. The shaving gel and the aftershave gel were both great. However, the razors were dull. I've pulled hair from my face for over 3 months. I'm glad they are all gone, finally! If the blades are improved to the sharpness of Gillette Fusion then I'd go back. I liked the price much better but one can only endure so much abuse. Stay away!
I ordered four sets on line during my visit to USA last August and used a set personally; rest I gifted to my friends across India. My experience has been awful as material quality is very poor as also design of the razor blades with its rubberised support isn't conceived well.
With the result, none of these can be used. I have taken some pictures and will send you separately thru email.

I was an early adapter of Harry's; the original blades they made when the company started were superb. I could use them for a month without nicks or cuts and I have a very coarse beard. Then they made the "new and improved" blades: the ones that come with a built in trimmer: they are terrible: they rust out after a few days and they cut skin very easily. All the recent reviews, at least during 2017, are of this new blade. Obviously when Harry's went big (and to mass markets like Target) they compromised their quality and relied on their start-up reputation. Not sure if the original owners out literally or just figuratively. I bought up all the original blades I could find and have a stock for several years. After than I will look for a new razor. BTW: DO NOT waste money on the heavier "chrome" handle:" it's cheap metal with a chrome finish or plating that peeled off after a year or so. Sad decline. Their shaving gel is still the best, however.
After using Harry's for two or three years now, I think you should pay attention to their recommendations regarding how often to have your order shipped to you. I am already backed up with razors, and have about an extra two months worth as well as about two months of lather. You can determine how often you'd like a shipment of theirs, e.g., every month, two months, three months, etc. It's the same cost per shipment regardless. So if you find after six months you're stocking up on more shaving supplies than you need, you can probably have the number of shipments per year reduced. You may pay slightly less for shaving supplies via their subscription service, but the major benefit is that their products seem to be consistent. Many shaving companies will switch to a cheaper product but maintain the name of the particular item. Why not? It's not illegal. Thus far, Harry's has been very consistent.
I was a bit skeptical about Harry's subscription shaving service, but I'm glad I tried it. I plan to keep my subscription. Here are a few reasons why. I have found the razor handle excellent. It is easy to grip and ergonomically designed. The blade--at least for me--provide the smoothest shave I've ever had. The 'pivot' dynamics of the razor head is excellent. It truly feels thoughtfully designed. Now, this may be due to the Harry's gel that is provided with the subscription. I thought at first, 'There are a lot of gels available in stores. I doubt this one will be any better." I was wrong. Harry's gel is denser and has less aeration added to the product, which means you don't need as much and each can lasts longer since there is less air and more gel. I even got their freshening face toner. It contains niacinamide, which I've read is truly good for the skin (in another words, it doesn't just feel good-it protects your face). The price is about the same as the 'high-end cartridge systems available in stores but I would rather pay the same for a better product. Please note that this is my experience after using the products for about a month. My beard isn't super thick or wiry as some men's. I'd place it at about 'medium'. I've read a lot of men's reviews who complain that their thick beard is hard to shave. I don't know if Harry's would do as well for them. But I'd say if you have a beard that isn't super thick, it's definitely worth a trial subscription, which is not very expensive, especially if you regularly use high priced products already
I buy everything I can from these good folks: shaving gell, SPF skin care, two-in-one shampoo (smells good yet masculine); shower soap (three varieties). Products have safe ingredients and shipping is fast.
It is so nice to have on-hand sharp razor blades that last a long time compared to store-bought blades.
Also, their other products are of high quality and you should try them just to see if they meet your needs.
I jumped into the Harry's branding approach early on because I was weary of expensive blades that I'd bought for 40 years as they give me progressively fewer and fewer shaves. I've never looked back. Plus, the unique handles who has orange for Cleveland Browns fans? And body wash fragrances! Now, I surprise shampoo? Perfect!
Harry's razors are well crafted, serve for many shaved, and incorporate an ingenious single blade for reaching inaccessible places (like under the nostrils). Shaving gel produces rich lather from a small amount of gel. Great products, well packaged.
I inquired about a product and CSA Katie not only met my expectation, she exceeded it by a Galaxy. You can rest assured Harry's is a company that will go above and beyond if there is ever an issue. Guaranteed. They have a customer for life with me. Best customer service on the planet.
Ordering from Harry's is easy and straightforward. My orders arrive quickly. There's never a shipping error or issue. The blades ARE the sharpest I've ever used. I've been shaving my face since 1964. Except for a couple of years during the Peace and Love late 60's. But that's another story. Harry, you rock!
My husband loves these razors, they last longer and cut him far less. No more "honey, you're bleeding again". The automatic shipment is wonderful because he doesn't run out and really, what's better than home delivery at the same price as it is in the store? I also appreciate the reasonable price!
Once I tried Harry's blades, I was completely sold. Loved the close shave with hardly a nick. I'm now also using the Shave Gel and Post-Shave Balm. I either order online or pick up my supplies at Target. I can't imagine ever switching to another product.
It's to convenient not to sign up and get razors delivered. I haven't had to worry about razors, shaving cream or anything in over 2 years. I actually forget they're coming. I never run out and it's cheaper then buying those products from the store. I don't know how they stay it business but thanks everyone at Harry's!
Harry's delivers great products for low prices right to your door in no time. However, if I have an emergency there is a Target right near my office where they sell a selection of Harry's products. I won't buy anything else. The shaving cream and body wash are incredible! The shaving world needed this!
I signed up for Harry's back before the Internet was invented. Kidding. But it was a long time ago. The reason we have the internet is so that we can have Harry's. I was so tired of buying expensive blades with all types of gimmicks. Many of those products didn't even work for me. Harry's blades just work as expected. No need - ever - to buy a new handle, unless I want to. I also use their shaving gel (with Aloe). That stuff is ridiculously good. Consistently good and better than any of the gels I've tried. My biggest complaint: the can of few never runs out. I have 4 bottles just sitting there. It will be 2030 before I have to order more.
Customer Service? Awesome. We had one error caused by my gaff that they resolved immediately, no questions asked.
Thanks Harry's!
Thanks for all your support Joel! We're very happy to have you as a customer. Happy shaving!
I've been using Harry's razors for a couple of years now and have been very happy with them. I shave almost every day and get about 1.5 months out of a blade so the cost is very reasonable.
I just received my latest order and they had a $5 mystery gift that got me a second razor which will now live in my travel bag.
Answer: Great question, Tony! Blade lifespan will definitely vary a bit based on your particular hair type, shave schedule, and blade care habits. While there's no exact standard for how long a cartridge will last you, we find that the average person likes to replace blades every 6-8 shaves. The idea is that our blades are durable and will last a long time, at a great price.
Answer: The new blades are not as smooth as the old ones and you cannot buy the old ones anymore.
Answer: Absolutely! There are lots of women who use our razors so we'd definitely encourage you to give them a try.
Answer: I had a problem with that when I first got them and found out that I wasn't pusing them on the handle far enough. Also if you hold too close to the blade and choke up on the handle too much your fingers tend to push the blades off. When I held back further on the handles... no worries. Since I changed those two things, I don't have that problem.
Answer: Because when they changed the design of the blade by adding the trimmer, the blade lost its smooth shaving quality, life of the blade and no burn feeling. Now it burns after the shave, blade does not last that long and all you are left with is a cheap blade. If they bring back there 1st generation blades back, I will be the first one to buy them and give back my business to Harry's for LIFE!
