Where does one look for " the puppy of your dreams". All pups, even shelter pups in need of homes touch our hearts; but often you know what your very special breed of pup is for you. Easy to use... Found an excellent breeder... very authentic and honest... the site itself is nice to use because it helps keep your deposit safe... in my case that was $400... so that made me happy... there is some fees they charge but with the ampunt of breeders they support... the info they have... ans the fact the website worked flawlessly... i rate them a solid 8.5 out of 10 and i never give perfect reviews... so 9 out of 10 is really the highest i would go and has yet to happen. Purchased our Chihuahua in August and received him in September 2023. Received weekly professional updates and the breeder was the best from Charleston Maine. Wouldn't have found him with out this site. Love the secure and easy way to put down a payment, and then pay in full great process.

I was looking for a pure bread Yorkie that came from a good breeder/ home, and came across the site good dog. This is where I found Tammy from Puppy Love Castle. She is by far the best breeder I've incountered. Tammy is very knowledgeable and caring about her pups! I highly recommend making a purchase with her if your looking for a good quality dog! My family is so in love with our little boy London!
I was in search of a puppy for a friend. I found Bea on this site, it was perfect timing! My friend now owns a beautiful puppy to fill the void of losing his other one. The breeder was fantastic about getting in contact with me. I love the fact that Good Dog does the vetting for it's customers.
I already paid for my puppy. I have not picked her up because the breeder keeps changing pick up dates and times. She wants the dogs to be picked up at her house, which is 6 hours away one way. I have asked for pictures and she sent one video of the Vet Tech. At this point I do not even know if she really has puppies. With all the issues from this breeder I do NOT feel safe even picking up the puppies at her house. I have suggested a public place for pick up or at least close to the freeway. I have been ignored. Do Not pay for a dog unless you can physically see the dog and pay for it as they are handing you the puppy. At this time I just want my money back.
Good dog used to be an excellent site for finding a puppy. Now they're requiring a credit card number or form of payment JUST to talk to a breeder! And they're requiring a form of payment and a deposit for EVERY breeder you contact, as a buyer. They've truly moved away from investing in the raising of healthy puppies, and now the only breeders who will stay with the site won't care about the integrity of the buyer at all. Any decent breeder wants to talk to their future puppy families, and communicate to get a feel for how the puppy will fit in to their lives. Only puppy mills don't care where their puppies go, and don't care about interacting with buyers.

In the beginning I truly was on board with good dog but over time and with all their changes I quickly became disillusioned. I saw far more backyard breeders being embraced with no real health testing. Poor quality far exceeded nicer dogs in my breed. They've even embraced mixed breeds. I just stopped answering emails from potential buyers as with their changes you couldn't thoroughly screen people first. I care deeply about my breed and to me it's important to support and maintain a standard for breeding of which good dog doesn't do. Embark dna testing is not health testing for my breed. I've left the good dog program as I truly no longer believe it's in the best interest of my breed. They are a puppy broker which is against the code of ethics for most breeds.

I had been scammed 6 times and reached out to so many people which were all involved in scams! Until someone told me to look up Good Dog! I thought here we go again, but no I met a few breeders that were kind, understanding and honest! I reserved a golden in the near future. I just adopted a Yorkie pup from Good Dog. I worked with Andrea Chalup and found the perfect little fur baby. I can't say enough about Andrea, she is a great breeder which is evident from the quality of the puppies. She is a family breeder the puppies are in her home with both parents present and the whole family participate in their care. Our little girl is amazing, intelligent and very alert. She was already familiar with a doggy door so potty training has been a breeze. Couldn't be happier or more in love! I highly recommend getting your new family member through Good Dog. I've had been looking for a puppy for sometime but was having trouble finding one for a decent price and that wasn't a scam. I discovered Good dog and was blown away with the ease of use and the amount of options at my finger tips. I was able to find a Boston Terrier from a good breeder and was able to do everything three good dog.
As a trainer of service dogs I think a dog learns faster and is more reliable. It doesn't take me years to train a reliable service dog because my dogs understand there are consequences to not doing what they're asked. And it's not a painful consequence, but a good motivator. Like a nudge to say, "hey you, did you hear what I said?"
I've been with Good Dog for a few years now. Their support for buyers and customers is excellent. They information is great and they are always adding new help and resources for anyone on the site buyers/sellers have unlimited information.
