You made my bestie go in the hospital cause of your food and the food is horrible and you had really bad service and I got sick

As I said tried to redeem the certificate, DO NOT DONATE ANY MONEY FOR ANY CHARITIES AT THIS PLACE. When I won the certificate I noticed it had two problems on it. One it said it was on redeemable in South County location, and I was AT the one in Illinois. Second, it said child buffet, so I told the cashier about this as soon as they handed it to me. She goes and gets someone who I thought was the manager, and had filled her in on the situation so when the lady comes back she tells me "oh yeah we will honor this I will sign my name on the back, and signs it." Apparently the girl did not tell her the part that I told her I don't have kids or grandkids will they honor this for a senior. I was under the impression they would since the lady appeared to acknowledge the whole situation before I left. Well, low and behold, when I tried to redeem I get you can't redeem this, it's for a child only...when I told the cashier what happened she goes and gets the GM who also tells me I can't redeem it. I told them I DON"T have kids or grandkids and this was supposed of been taken care of when I won the durn thing. Moral of the story I got squat from that raffle, and they need to take the spin board down. They even refused to give me the money back that I gave them to spin on. THIS IS NOT A CUSTOMER retainment idea if they keep doing this to people.
The food was great and most of the staff was but beacause of COVID only 10 people could sit at a table and there were10 adults and a 3 year old and made someone move.
I went to Golden Corral on 7/15/23. All the food tasted the same. There were 4 people in my party.

The food was horrible my server great! Golden corral the manager was horrible! The only person that was okay was the young lady Desiree who waited on us. Outside of that the food was cold when I asked to speak to management and they finally showed up after almost an hour she stated we have been here an hour and there was nothing she could do about it then ask me if that was my daughter I feel it's because of her white skin complexion and me being dark skinned black person when I told her that all the food was cold and I hadn't eaten any of it as she could see by looking at my plate she said I talk to you when you were up there at least she did until she saw the white skin person that came up and talked to me I feel like that's a problem because of the complexion of the person that was with me when I asked if the owner was there because I was told they were she said they're not here I'm the only one here and there's nothing I can do about it I spent $40 on a meal that I couldn't even eat because it was cold and then I almost waited 45 minutes to speak with management as Desiree the attendant went around and around looking for them even asking her other co-workers when I asked Miss Owens who was the management okay what do I need to do okay I'll just contact corporate so I asked her for the number to corporate and then it snobbished tone she said it's on your receipt I even took her to the table and showed her that all the food that I put on my plate as she did talk to me and she saw was still there as I had taken a picture before and after which I will post on this review that is the most despicable meal I've eaten in the most crass service from someone who's supposed to be management thanks a lot but I'll never eat there again and wouldn't advise anybody else to because I feel like the management was very narcissistic in dealing with customer really a total arse to say the least. I feel management needs to be retrained. And as for our hostess Ms Desiree thank you for a job well done you are very professional. Thank you for your apology you done as well job. You acted more like a manager than the manager.
I will not go to Golden Corral after over saturation of same tv commercial, all day long, AND none close nearby.
