$21.63 per person for cold, subpar cafeteria food. We haven't eaten here since my Dad saw a $#*! roach run across the salad bar several years ago. Ironically my Dad wanted to try it again for his birthday. We arrived slightly before 5:00 on a Saturday evening. The food was already picked over and much of cold and dried out. I kept waiting for the food to be replenished but it never happened. I did get one piece of fried chicken that had nice flavor and was warm. As with most other reviews I had seen, the ice cream machine was broken. I'm sure that all of the deserts came from K-mart. Yes, I know K-mart closed years ago. The carrot cake which I have always liked seemed like a boxed cake mix with cream cheese frosting. Incredibly Disappointed! The whole place including restrooms were filthy. The busboy who didn't even wipe down the tables was really hustling for a tip. The whole experience was disgusting! Oh... And No Prime Rib even on the weekend.

Good Day all. You must read in its entirety to get the full experience. Please forgive me - this IS the short version! It occurred on Mother's Day, 5/11/25 (of ALL days) I was invited to attend a gathering at GC (Golden Corral) this particular extremely busy afternoon. First, I called the GC store 6 times before arriving at the location - no one ever answered the phone (OK, a busy day). When I arrived, I begged the manager to allow me to sit with my ten-member party which included children; and made arrangements to keep my "To Go" order ($34.32) behind the front counter as I sat at the dining table.
While there, I ate NOTHING, drank NOTHING, as GC staff checked every 2 mins to be sure that I didn't. I was finally asked to leave approx. 20 mins after visiting with family. The mgr. Told me that I could continue to visit IF I paid an additional $23.99 just to sit there. Since I didn't want to pay more than the $34.32 I'd already paid, I went to the front counter to retrieve the packaged food that was waiting there behind the counter. That same mgr. REFUSED to give me the food that I purchased, saying that I didn't ask for it properly, the way he wanted me to ask for it. GC's entire staff refused to give me my purchase and told me that I had to leave without it. I waited at the counter, as we went back and forth in this CROWDED (Mother's Day) GC restaurant. I requested my PAID FOR food for over an hour, to no avail. They just WOULD NOT give me the food that I purchased.
By this time, it was utter chaos, and the other patrons waiting in line had begun to chime in, also advising the staff to just give me my food so that I could depart. No deal! They were adamant! Finally I DID leave as they had requested (without my purchase). As I waited outside the restaurant, after a horrifying and shameful debacle, a member of my party went back in to retrieve my order, and they too were told they COULD NOT have the item that I paid $34.32 for.
P.S. While there, I was cursed by atleast 3 of the staff members (yep, they used the F-bomb) as they interjected their "take" on things. Additional info: The POLICE were called to the store over this! Since I did nothing wrong, the police suggested that I contact the GC corporate offices to get resolution, as it was a civil matter and was out of their hands.
So without delay, I reached out to GC Corporate offices. To my surprise, I HAVE NOT heard back from them either. I have been calling and leaving a message every day, 2 or 3 times a day since the ordeal. All I've been able to do is leave a message, requesting a refund for services NOT rendered. Golden Corral does not deserve the business they do. This patron is "former" forever! I wouldn't eat there if I were you. They treated me AND my party horribly; FYI - I wouldn't have believed this story either, if only I hadn't experienced it firsthand. Thank you.

Stopped there last week for lunch. The worst food I ever had at a Golden Corral. Selection were not great to start with but what there was terrible. An example was the refried beans. So watery it was more of a tuning soup. About only thing editable was the Salad. Will definitely not retu.

I got broccoli from the salad bar and the broccoli had mold and was hairy and fuzzy also the food is cold and dry

The filthiest, most disgusting dining room area I ever ate in. Embarrassed for my wife. Older gentleman working behind the dessert line was eating from the displays. Can only imagine what the kitchen look like. Waitress had buss bucket and grabbed our sodas without washing her hands. Wasted our money. NEVER AGAIN. I should have taken pics. This particular location is terrible. The reason we went was because we had a good experience in Elyria. First impression is everything. I should not have overlooked the filth walking in the front entrance. Not even a 1 star but I guess I had to choose something. YUCK

I'm thankful to have them so near that me and my elderly sister can come enjoy a great meal. Thanks for friendly environment and terrific food!

Golden Corral has stopped serving A1? This is unacceptable. We have eaten there a lot and the food is usually good. But, without A1? We probably wont go back. You cant serve steak without A1. The in house steak sauce is ok, but it is not A1.

On Tuesday, December 26,2023- I went with family to Golden corral for lunch. Crystal, a server, refused for us to sit in a booth in her area. She claimed that the whole area was reserved for a party. There was no sign for reservation as they usually do. My husband, very compliant, went to another area. Ms Tee, an African American server, told my husband in a voice full of hate: "I am not serving you." No reason was given. My husband is white. The cashier, Brie, saw us wandering around looking for a place to sit. Brie told us that Crystal was lying. There was no party & no reservation. Brie seated us in Crystal's area, but Crystal refused to serve us. Again, no reason was given. A few days later, on Friday December 29,2023- I went again with family to Golden corral for lunch. Arthur, a server, refused for us to sit in a booth in his area. He claimed that this booth was reserved. Again, there was no sign of reservation as they usually put when anything is reserved. Arthur seated a couple who came immediately after us in that booth we wanted. I asked the couple if they reserved that booth as Arthur claimed. The couple said no they didn't reserve anything. The couple was so kind. They moved to another area when they saw that Arthur was in the wrong. We didn't move to Arthur's area because we were scared of retaliation. We have been going to Golden Corral for almost 30 years. We never complained. I hate complaining, but the recurrent mistreatment was stressing us out and affecting our health. I finally went to talk to managers. I explained how this mistreatment is against the Civil Right Act of 1965. I didn't even get an apology. Rather, one of the managers said: "we can solve this problem by you going somewhere else to eat." I found this even more discriminatory. We have never been harassed and discriminated against like late this year. Nobody deserve this mistreatment, especially us who have been loyal customers to Golden Corral for almost 30 years. We are old. All we need is a peaceful environment like it used to be for almost 3 decades.

The stake was rubber but the waiter made up for it, the family next to us was way to happy, Laquita was the stake lady I think she was off the za because I asked for medium rare but got well done and I was not letting that slide so I sent that $#*! back and she got mad. I put that $#*! on my block this was the worst experience I've had, there was a dancing homeless person at the door asking people for food so I felt bad so I gave him 1 chicken wing and for some reason he got mad that I only brought 1 so I ate it in front of him and he started chasing me around the parking lot and you know that I can't let that slide so I sticked his $#*! and then went to eat.

While waiting in line during the lunch rush the add kept playing and it just about drove me crazy. Not only me but multiple people in the line also expressed their displeasure in the ad. It even drove a few people out of the store.

The server yesterday had no gloves was handling the trash can then touching food that had fallen out of the food bin on the service counter onto the surrounding counter putting the food back in the food bin all without gloves. I asked two managers to remove this food from service, neither manager thought removing the contaminated food was needed. He just let people take food that his ungloved servicer had touched. I stood there for a few moments and told those wanting the food what I had seen first hand. They immediately took those plates to the trash.

I wouldn't recommend the Golden Corral on Providence, Brandon. This place smells terrible. There is almost no room between tables to walk through without rubbing someones back. The floors are disgusting. This place is disgusting to go eat. However, the waitress abd cook servers were very pleasant and charismatic.

Visiting friends and we went to the Golden Corral in Taylor, MI and the place was so dirty and nasty. First you couldn't hardly find a clean cup, or plate let alone silverware then looking for a table was an issue because they were all dirty with dishes on them, the floor had trash and food on it, the food wasn't that great and when leaving it didn't look like they cleaned their exit area in a month. When visiting will never return to this place again.

The golden corral on San Mateo in Albuquerque nm is the world's worst restaurant ever. Me an a friend went there today and couldn't or rather wouldn't eat anything. The gravy was way over salted, we went for onions and liver, it was salty and hard as a rock. The employees were scraping the food that had been sitting out and putting in the new containers. I called all of this to the restaurant manager and he said he would check it out and never came back. Very unprofessional. And all food was gross. Please don't eat at San Mateo Golden corral. We only tasted and we both are sick. I want to call the food and safety board, that how bad of an experience we had. I had been looking forward to having a salad and the ranch dressing taste like fish. GROSS GROSS GROSS

Hello I would like to say the fried shrimp taste like white people food y'all need more seasoning y'all only had cookies and ice cream and those other pies look like diarrhea speaking of diarrhea I was fighting for my life on that toilet and shot out the most humpty Dumpty clumpy rusty musty scrumptious red blue black white and purple poop out I will never be back ONLY GO BACK FOR CONSTIPATION

Charging kiddos as adults due to their genes, refused us service after I attempted to provide proof of ages and disabilities. With not a leg to stand on asked us to leave premises while my children cried and were hurt. Male manager pretended not be one and an older petty lady cashier ignorant to American rights for children especially with disabilities. Only a sour witch would put down children to make Golden Corral a buck on the expense of innocent kids shame on her...VEJA AMARGARDA! I had to rate at least 1 to move forward and submit which is a false statement they put upon us

Great staff great food clean resteraunt. Restrooms were clean. Great selection. Bakery was looking very appealing

Cashier was super rude, staff just rude, half the food was bad. I am old, disabled, having a bad day, my birthday, yet they needed to insult me in front of me. Why? Maybe my unbearable pain and weakness is tough enough, if you can work, fine, shut up! Last time i was there, all perfect, everything, best meal ever. This time, F... will not go back. Just like they want, less customer, fire one of them them insulters. Please, if you can work, do not go ape crazy insulting customer who cannot help themselves. Wish i had photos,names, next time... OK, thew away my reciept, my bad, next time...

Absolutely do not go here food tasted like my s$/: and couldn't even cut my steak there was puddles of water under my table. Our waitress was so miserable and was scratching her hair and then handing me my cup dirty walls dirty people and just dirty in general never go here if it's your last meal :)
