We wish you had contacted us as soon as you received your order on February 10 so we could have looked into your case and maybe provided some tips to process your flowers so they perked up beautifully (flowers may arrive slightly dehydrated due to the long journey from South America, but with appropriate care, you can bring them back to looking great within the next 12 hours)
We would like to clarify that the dark petals you mention are the protective guard petals that natural roses have. Roses typically have 3 to 5 guard petals, which are the outer and usually larger petals that protect the inner petals of the bloom as they unfold. These guard petals may differ in color from the actual color of the rose. For example, white roses may have green guard petals, while red roses have dark red or black borders. These guard petals are often wilted or may have charred/black edges. You can choose to remove them once the flowers start to bloom or leave them on for a more natural garden look.

In the past we have had excellent service and strong healthy flowers. This year there were 20 damaged heads. Luckily, we ordered extra. Still, they are very healthy flowers.
