If you are part of the 1/100th of 1% Rich on Earth, and you want to promote yourself as philanthropic, then you can sign up and pay these folks to promote yourself as philanthropic. It's all a Hoax. It is 100% meaningless except to flatter your own oversized Ego and narcissistic personality disorder. None of these Signers has to do a single thing to evidence that they have helped even one person or one cause. This is the epitome of a Hoax.

An interesting concept where the wealthiest Americans pledge to give at least half their wealth to charity. Warren Buffett and Bill and Melinda Gates started the Giving Pledge to get more people to give, sooner. It seems like a fantastic idea - use public glory, peer pressure, and a sense of moral obligation to increase philanthropy. I hope it works.

Here's an interview about it on Charlie Rose: http://www.charlierose.com/view/interview/*******
