My parents use the "Get Your Guide" app to book their Brisbane Cruise, however, the link in the app directed them to a completely different location than they were supposed to be. Unfortunately, this led them to be late for the trip with no ability to get on a later boat (and the next day they had to get back to Sydney). When they arrived they met with 2 other "Get Your Guide" customers that had the same issue...
When raising this technical app issue with the Get Your Guide, this issue was "not an issue" with their app, and no refund was provided. It's unfortunate that even providing the proof doesn't seem to make a difference for this company, as they simply highlighted that nothing was wrong...
I would therefore urged customers to use a more reliable and customer-focussed booking solution, as clearly Get Your Guide is a clearly trying to cash-in on the travel market, now people want to travel again...
If you can avoid using their solution, I would highly recommend this!
I advise to do this tour over Sao Paulo which is really impressive. The pilot was really good and kind, giving good comments. Booking goes well, and we could adapt time to weather. We should like to stay onboard much more!

Our private boat trip around Capri with Marco from Prestelli Sicily Tours was so beautiful that it is our favorite memory of our entire trip to Italy. Marco asked where we wanted to go and when we said we had no idea, he took us to a breathtaking private grotto, then to a location so gorgeous it is the site of a world famous perfume ad, and then to more deserted locations we never dreamed existed. Oh, and did I mention that Marco never stopped taking magnificent photos of us so we can relive this happiest of days again and again. His photo quality was so good, we wondered if Marco was also a professional photographer. And Marco used such discretion that we almost forgot he was on the boat with us making the day the most romantic of my life.
This is more of a warning than a question. We had booked a day tour from Lisbon to Sintra for 14 people using GetYourGuide. We were at pick up for 8:20 along with another group, we went from bus to bus trying to locate ours. We started calling at 8:25 and they said we left at 8:25 and sent us an email at 8:29 saying we are leaving. They told us to take the train and we could pick up tour there.
We did this and were told our tickets for Sintra Castle didn't exist. We paid $1200 for this tour. The people answering the phone were not helpful and left 16 people stranded.

I absolutely love Get Your Guide. I have used them multiple times and they never disappoint. This tour was no exception. Every stop was amazing and the guide was knowledgeable and professional. Do I wish there was more time…of course but you get a taste of each location. A must do and I would never hesitate to book anything with Get Your Guide.
Avoid Get Your Guide Tours. At least some of their Rome tours use "Show Me Italy" as their operator. Our $690+ Underground Colosseum tour was cancelled days prior with choice of no tour/refund or their tour substitute. Their substitute turned out to be a 3 hour ancient Rome lecture through the entire Forum area. B-O-R-I-N-G! We then *******@an hour getting into the Colosseum with our "skip-the-line" tickets. Entire Colosseum portion of the tour lasted less than 45 minutes. SCAM. Would never use them again.
We purchased a ticket and waited at the meeting points GPS located. There were others waiting for the same bus. However, his never showed up, and they told us, we were not at the correct place. They refused to give refund. If your meeting point was not accurate, why should I be penalize for it. Not satisfied at all. There should at least be clear address or location.

We went to Amsterdam recently and bought a few things like train tickets, go city pass, venue tickets etc through get your guide.The process of buying is simple and the price is reasonable and easy to get stuff. Never had to contact customer service. On the whole it's a fantastic experience
I love Get your Guide, it covers lots of cities. I recently booked three trips in Edinburgh and everything worked out great until the last morning. The driver and bus had not arrived by the 8.30am meeting time, so I checked in the app for help, there was a "call" option so I called and the tour company's office told me that the driver had to call in to the garage to check the bus. I'm all in favour of having a safe bus, even if it means a delay.
Do not use this company- they will cancel your tour 15 minutes before it starts an you will have a difficult time getting your money back. The company should have refunded my money when they cancel. I have been working on getting a refund for 30 minutes an nothing has gotten done.

I chose excursions through this service because of their advertised "no questions asked" cancellation policy. BUT no only won't they cancel an event over 2 months out, they won't even rebook. I suggest a rename to Get Your Money and Run."

My daughter and her boyfriend booked a river seine cruise and eiffel tower trip, arrived at the boat with their booking voucher only to be told that it hadnt been booked, 70 euros they paid, disgusting rip off merchants, should be banned from trading!
My wife and I were booked initially on a 3:15 p.m. cruise on Lake Whakatipu (New Zealand) but changed this to the 1:15 p.m. cruise. Thankfully, we got even better sunlight and opportunities for photography before the sun disappeared behind the western ranges.
Lots of families on school vacation trips joined us, and most went upstairs to the sheltered canopies while we stayed below in the large lounge with picture windows as we had pre-purchased "Wine and cheeses" to enjoy. All of the added fruits and nuts were appreciated, and the local wines were very pleasant. Photography opportunities were excellent!
The best place was in The Cove where lots of native birds sang their hearts out in melodious song. We were met at the Mt Nicholas Station by the run-holder who collected newspapers and his mail.
The 1.5 hours cruise on the catamaran was enjoyable and the scenery magnificent.
Do not book with this company. They refused a refund when my wife got a migraine the day before our event in the Florida Everglades and the hotel and other tour graciously understood how sudden and debilitating migraine headaches can be. Get Your Guide asked for hospitalization record! Then wanted medical certification for that day. I sent her doctors note and Relpax prescription but they still denied it. Very poor service as well. Don't use. Book directly with tour operators and avoid third party nightmares when plans unexpectedly change.

I booked tickets for my uncle, his girlfriend and myself for the High Roller Las Vegas. I paid $197 and upon receiving the email it said my tickets would be in my email in at least 2 hours leaving enough time to get on the wheel. I contacted customer service upon not receiving the ticket confirmation. They told me the system was having issues and I would be refunded in 3-5 days. We will see if I get my money back but it is very frustrating considering this is our first time in Vegas and funds are very limited.

GetYourGuide quickly caps operators in most big cities, not allowing any new operators. This vastly favors wealthy, white (in my city nearly 100%) existing owners. New activities and companies are barred, new activities by old companies are barred, if they decide there are already enough events happening where you live.
So in other words, in my city they'll sell 8 versions of a haunted tour, but no new or different events. And if someone tries to start one, GetYourGuide won't list them. Because they base their image entirely on the opposite -- bringing people small local activities -- it's one big deception! Obviously that rule would do the opposite, and no other OTA I know of has that kind of oppressive rule. Don't use GetYourGuide!

Buyer BEWARE! Get Your Guide took our money out of our bank and was not able to achieve the zoo tour booking for date/time required even though they initially indicated confirmed. Bait and switch type practice. They show as we "cancelled"... wrong... they never booked it. Took our money in an instant. We had to call them for a refund. One wonders what would have happened if we hadn't called. They are holding on to our money for 5 business days. Very poor business practices. Will never do business again.
I've been getting reminders to rate both the tour and the agency persistently - what's interesting there is no way to turn off those unsolicited emails via a simple unsubscribe link at the bottom of the communication (is this even legal?). Instead they remind you in bold that you agreed to their Terms and Conditions which probably means you agreed to them spamming your inbox. Tour itself was no issue and worked as expected, but avoid their services if you don't want to be molested afterwards.
Horrible service. I booked a dive trip through them. The dive shop does not have an address listed and the phone number is constantly busy - all day yesterday and today and my trip is for tomorrow. Name of the business is not registered with google so I have no idea where to go. I contacted getyouyrguide by messages, by email and by phone several times. They respond by messages that that I can't locate my phone number and reservation, by email - they say - "we ll get back with you" and by phone - the connected me with somebody who was supposedly "the provider" but didn't understand a word of English. What kind of service is that. A SCAM, and I am claiming it as one with my bank!
