Horrible service!

Horrible service. I booked a dive trip through them. The dive shop does not have an address listed and the phone number is constantly busy - all day yesterday and today and my trip is for tomorrow. Name of the business is not registered with google so I have no idea where to go. I contacted getyouyrguide by messages, by email and by phone several times. They respond by messages that that I can't locate my phone number and reservation, by email - they say - "we ll get back with you" and by phone - the connected me with somebody who was supposedly "the provider" but didn't understand a word of English. What kind of service is that. A SCAM, and I am claiming it as one with my bank!

One stop shop!

My wife and I just did a long trip through France, Spain and Portugal and we used m GetYourGuide every step of the way. It was easy to book, easy to get the tour we wanted and easy to find each spot. The buses were air conditioned during a monster heat wave and all the guides were knowledgeable, friendly and punctual.

We did a lot of moving around and were on a tight schedule. All the tours we booked through Getyouguide lined up, we even were delayed in Avignon coming in on the train and our guide Rudy waited an extra 10 minutes for us.

Great experience, would definitely recommend!

Our time in Waikiki was great... Towards the end of our trip we did the Beauty and The Feast tour. We loved it. Heads up you won't have a lot of time at stops but that's understandable... The time you are there is priceless and the lunch was good... Take the trip and take it all in. We had Matt as a guide and he gets 15 out of 10 stars... He was that good!

Highly recommend.

The negative. Writing reviews of activities has a 1000 character minimum... too much!

Isle of Skye day trip
August 22, 2020

Jim was our bus driver and tour guide throughout and he was fantastic. He has an absolute wealth of Scottish history which we found interesting and enjoyable, not sure if all his stories were strictly true, but he's layed back, funny and made our day really enjoyable. There were plenty of stops to enjoy the magnificent scenery and use the facilities, thank you again Jim for a superb day out, I highly recommend anyone to do this tour.

A nice day at Versailles

We used Get Your Guide for a visit to Versailles in France. The tour was with a guide inside the castle, and Livia did an excellent job. Very good knowledge about the history, kind and informative. But of course, the price is very high compared to the official price of the tickets. But we were satisfied with the guiding, and the information from the company regarding this event was good.

Bait and switch

Bait and switch company! Booked a tour of the Rome Colosseum only to have them cancel days before when I couldn't get a replacement. They replaced it with a terrible tour that cost half as much and only offered a few euros in exchange, rather than the actual price difference. Tried dealing with customer service multiple times and was denied

All about the money

I requested a refund which was clearly outside of policy. I canceled our early morning bike ride 2 hours before departure because my daughter was ill. I spare you the details, but she didn't need to visit a doctor or ED while on vacation for her issue. However, she was unable to ride a bike. I reached out asking if they'd consider a refund - but money and policy are more important than people. I'd advise booking with this company in case this happens to you. Unless you are severely injured, dead or require a doctor, you'll be out the cost.

Misleading online reservation avoid them at all costs there are many better services available to the public. We made a reservation on a specific day the guide couldn't make it and called us to re-schedule for another day when we were already on our way out of the city. No refund issued and could not get money back. I only rated one star because no stars was not available.

Booked an excursion in London. 46 hours before excursion, received an email from rail of strike action for that day, so no means to get to London. Notified getmyguide straight away. They would not budge. Yes, we were 2 hours shy of the 48 hours required, but it was not in our control. Another company who was non-refundable refunded. The actual tour operator, City Experiences, indicated that if we'd have booked directly, they could have helped, passing the buck to getyourguide. Getyourguide said the it was the tour company. So everyone was paid for zero services rendered.and the only unhappy ones were us, the customers. Do yourself a favour, stay away…book directly with tour operator or with Viator (have used many times).

TERRIBLE COMPANY…. DO NOT USE

DO NOT BOOK WITH THIS SCAM COMPANY!
Booked a tour for my family in Portugal. Our flight was cancelled by the airline and we were not even in the country when the tour took place. We cancelled (literally 5 hours after making the actual booking) and they refused to refund our money even with proof of flight cancellation. Any reputable company would understand that and give a refund. Out $120 for nothing. Awful experience. Unprofessional awful company. Use Viator instead. They were fabulous.

Mixed feelings

My wife and I did both tours in Athens, Greece. The first one was absolutely amazing! IT was challenging, but solvable and really opened our eyes to things that we almost certainly would not have stumbled upon on our own. The second was not so great. Several of the clues were simply not solvable. One of them was a reference to a store that no longer is there (we even looked for it for about 15 minutes after we found the answer). It was very frustrating. I am sure that it's difficult to keep some of the tours up to date and I can't speak to how long it was out of date, all I can say is that it was frustrating and made portions of the tour a miserable experience. 75% of the tour was ok though. Its a shame because we so enjoyed the first one, so much so that we told a number of our traveling companions and in-country hosts about how much we loved the first tour.

I had no problem with any of the tours or excursions that I bought here when we were in Orlando.
I actually think it is a good idea to use them.
There were a variety of things to choose from. And for us, it made it easier.

We had the most amazing day. We got to visit three different Islands, swim, snorkel, drink cocktails, and play on water bouncy equipment. It was our friend's 21st birthday and she was given a free cocktail which was so appreciated. Sanja and Paško were awesome, they played the best music and were such a vibe, they gave us lots of insight into the islands and great recommendations. Definitely recommend this tour to everyone visiting Split, a huge day to remember.

I had a major emergency in my family (my wife had a heart attack). About 12 hours prior to my ticketed time for an event (the Titanic Museum in Pigeon Forge, TN) I contacted this company and told them that needed to cancel my tickets and I was requesting a refund of my 59.00 payment. They offered to give us a credit to be used at any later date. I informed them that I nor wife are going to able to travel again any time soon since she is still in the hospital (I am 64 she is 66). This company's reply was "that is our policy and there is no exception." If this is the way they treat people I don't think anyone should or would want to have anything to do with them ever. I never will and everyone I talk to about it I will express my opinion that this company is nothing more than a money-hungry, cold-hearted bunch of Germans who could care less for their clients.

During our recent trip to Europe we used this site several times to book tours and transfers.
They had a large range of activities to choose from and the easy to use booking system, saved us even more as we could pay in AUD.
The app was great to use and we could see our bookings offline.
We highly recommend and would use again.

Walking tour of venice

This was such an easy way to book the tour I just picked the date I was interested in and times were then available to choose from. The meet up place was a bit out of the way but the directions were easy to follow. The English speaking guide was fantastic with very interesting historical stories. We really felt like we had learnt a lot by the end and she recommended great places to visit after. Great value for money. Highly recommended

Frustrating!

Met at the designated site at 2:51 for a 3pm start for a three hour walking tour of Paliment in London. There was no one there. When we finally got an agent in the phone she said the your left at 2:50, today June 16,2022. We asked if she could tell us where to go to meet the guide to catch up. They had no idea and the guide didn't answer their phone. Super frustrating. They would not reschedule the tour either. Feels like a scam. Find another tour outfit.

Scammy - I booked a tour last minute but my first booking had the incorrect time and number of people- was a simple error. I was in a hurry and booked the correct one right after. The vendor saw the double booking and told me it was no problem and would be taken care of (but it is not up the vendor). I contacted GetYourGuide afterwards asking them to remove the second charge as it was an error and never used. They kept giving me the run around about how per their "policy," I would have had to cancel the booking 24 hours ahead of time- even though I booked within an hour of the tour! Use another company please. So unethical.
