Back on the road

I had an excellent experience with trusting Gerber to make my wife's car like new again. Even with all the supply chain issues They were able to get the parts needed to repair her car. They kept me aware of the progress with both text messages and personal phone calls. Everyone I spoke to were courteous, friendly and respectful. I will trust Gerber with any future work I need.

Everyone in the office and shop were friendly and helpful. When I drove my car out, it looked like it did the day I purchased it 10 years ago - not at all like it did when it was hauled in! Thanks to all who had a hand in getting me back on the road.

Great Service and Kind

My 83 yr old mother bright her car into the Gerber service center to have them evaluate a sagging driver's side door that wasn't closing properly. The technician took a look at and provided a thorough explanation as to why doors sometimes sag on cars. He was patient and kind to my mother and I very much appreciate his kindness. The adjustment was at no charge.

You'll be Walking

Filled my gas tank--I use a gas card so I have receipt--before dropping vehicle off at Gerber North Olmsted location. Couldn't get them to give an estimate of return. Gerber had my car for 30 days and when I got it back, it had less than 1/2 tank of gas. While I waited in the rain for a bus, someone was driving my vehicle and splattering their beveridge on the interior. To add insult to injury, the work was shoddy. State Farm suggested I take the vehicle back to Gerber. Yeah, maybe fill the tank up again for their employee's convenience?

Collision repair

Employees were very helpful and courteous. The automated update system was misleading as to when the car would be ready. Upon our arrival and subsequent examination, the shop gave us a more timely event when we could expect the return of our car. The work performed looks great.

I had some body damage to my 2008 Toyota Camry due to an accident. I took my vehicle to Gerber Collision # ******* at ******* N. 83rd Ave. # 105 Peoria AZ *******. I phoned ahead and spoke to Monica who was very helpful in giving me detailed information about the needed repairs along with more information regarding a rental car while my car was in the shop. I also spoke to Todd who quickly gave me an estimate upon my arrival. Everyone was so helpful and accommodating and made the entire transaction very easy and not stressful. The location of Gerber Collision is also close to my work. I just wanted to let you know that the current staff at this location is great and the repair on my car was done very satisfactory. Thank you

Great communication, fast service. The complete job took 1-1/2 days and color match was perfect there were no blend lines in the paint. The people in the office were very respectable to my wife and my self. I would tell other people of the service we received at Gerber Collision and glass with out a problem.

Complaint Details
Good morning! I was in an automobile accident 07/13,2012 Kia Sportage. Insurance Agent, suggested Gerber Collision, S. Palo Verde Rd., Tucson, Az. Body damage and mechanical damage; primarily front driver's side. The vehicle was driveable with a functional air conditioner (no issues). Approx. One week later, Kia was picked up and without issues. The following day, AC stops operating. My wife, Immediately calls Tim Schunk at Gerbers. Tim States " an Electrical Issue" to return Kia and Issue be corrected. In body shop, Tim stated that techs Disconnected compressor. Upon realizing that major compressor issues with AC Compressor exists, excuses from Store Manager, comes about: 1. AC unit not damaged in auto accident 2. Compressor internally exploded 3. Ins. Co, not paying for damaged compressor! 4. Jason E. /Gerber Collision/ Store Manager is the sole organization that physically Unplugged the AC Compressor and has left it unplugged. 5. Gerber Collision had Royal Kia in Tucson, Diagnose AC. Diagnostic states " Compressor exploded internally! 6. Gerber Collision was the only organization. Other than Kia to check AC. How could the AC Compressor have exploded internally? The Gerber techs Unplugged the AC Unit and being in a hurry; forgot to replug and make the electrical connection; causing the compressor to internally explode!

A bunch of Possums and a Monkey could have done a more thorough job!

Was hit by a lunatic having a road rage tantrum. He was driving over the speed limit and way too close to me.

When I had to slow down because of the flow of morning traffic, instead of ramming into me, he pit maneuvered me and rendered my car out of control. The back panel of my Honda Civic separated from the bumper and the teeth that holds those parts in place were broken off.

It was explained to me what had to be done and then he was going to write up the estimate for the repair work needed. I was expecting just the estimate and then having to bring the car in again for the work to be completed.

The estimater at the time was Tommy Stokes. He told me it would take him about twenty minutes to write it up. When he came back, the work had been done and the estimate handed to me.

Tommy explained a lot of very useful things about the year, make and model of my car and some general things about 2nd extended warranties which I knew nothing about. He suggested I look into one for my Honda since my original would be up in one year and the parts and labor are so expensive on these cars.

Since I expect to be keeping the car for another ten years, I've decided to take his advice and go for the extended/extended warranty.

As a final and very kind gesture he suggested that I use the money (that the insurance company would be reimbursing me) and put it toward the next warranty, because he would not be charging me for the work that had just been done.

I had been told that this facility "rocks" but my own experience bears this out. Not just because I was not charged for the repair, but because I had been treated with respect and like I had a brain, and because I was now armed with a heck of a lot of new knowledge that would serve me well in the future.

So grateful!

"Top Notch"

Fixed my car as promised - on schedule - better looking than when i took it in - everyone was very pleasant to work with - car looked brand new when I got it back - even detailed car inside and out and went out of their way so I could pick it up a little earlier on the day it was ready - Would definitely use them again - did not need - but they even help you rent a vehicle if needed

My experience wit the Titusville, FL Gerber Collision was excellent. The communication by both office managers, April and Jean, were continuous and very informative. The original insurance appraisal was lower than actual costs, but that was due to hidden damage during the accident. April kept me updated on the problems and progress every step of the way. I would (and have) tell my friends to go to Titusville Gerber Collision!

They left out a plastic push pin out of the inter fender. And there is a dent still in my passenger door yet. And there is a small scratch on the passenger door handle yet. And dirt on passenger floor.
