I am satisfied with the services I receive, and the repairs on my car. I also receive excellent customer service from Lloyd Hadley. Mr. Lloyd also had my vehicle repaired much faster than expected.
Went to Gerber to get my 2006 Chevrolet Silverado Extended cab painted. After I got it back, my Professional detailer said 'what happened'? There are fish eyes all in this paint.THEN the cab started leaking water. I noticed the seals in the doors would try and fall out whenever I opened the doors. So I took it back, told them the cab was leaking, the headliner was not reinstalled correctly and there were fish eyes in the paint! The manager assured me they would take care of it. After 8 weeks! And me calling several times to check on the status since I never got ANY communication, the manager said "I can't find any leaks.come get it"'. I was pretty sure they had parked it for 8 weeks and never looked at it. The battery was dead and it had a layer of dust all over it. I took it to a car wash, when I started through the car wash, water came POURING in on me from the windows!. I went and bought door gaskets that cost $450. Replaced them myself. That stopped about 90% of the leak. There was still water leaking in every rain. It would be wet under the door plate. I finally took it to my mechanic that offered to try and find the source. He found the windshield leaking in the upper corner. Only took him an hour. So, I had the windshield removed, re-sealed by a smaller local windshield repair place. So now that I spent $4500 on a sub-standard paint job, $450 on gaskets, $120 diagnostic for the leak and $260 for leak repair! I will take every opportunity to tell anyone and everyone DO NOT Go TO GERBER.
I had a small accident where the front bumper, parking sensor, and grill had to be replaced. My insurance company, AAA, sent me to Gerber Collision and Glass and Gerber gave me a date of the 18th that the car should be finished. They texted me almost every day updating me that all was going well for it to be done on the 18th. At 3:34 on the 18th they texted me that the wrong bracket had come in and it would be delayed. A few days later they said that the parking sensor came in with the wrong color so they had to paint that. Another delay. Then a couple days later the wrong grill came in and had to wait for the right one. Unbelievable that they don't check the parts when they come in and make sure it's the right part. Once would be bad, 3 times is just evidence of a company that doesn't know what they are doing.
So, then the manager calls me and says it's almost done but they had left the car outside and we had a hailstorm and my car sustained $1,700 in damage. They had a clause in their papers saying they aren't responsible for acts of God so they won't cover it. So, I have to file another insurance claim and I have to pay the $250 deductible. I'm not sure if this will cause my insurance to go up in the coming years. We'll see.
If they had it done on time I would have gotten the car before the hail storm and it would have been in my garage. Needless to say, don't use Gerber Collision and Glass!
I set up an appointment to bring my car in for body repair a month out, but when I showed up they didn't have any record of me and no appointment. Very disorganized and unprofessional agents. They didn't even try to get me in. I went to Leifs Auto Body and got in the same day. Don't waste your time with Gerber.
Had some work done on my Nissan Rogue due to an accident. They did excellent work repairing the vehicle. The gas cap cover kept opening while driving. Took it back in and it turrned out to be the gas cap cover was installed backwards. They repaired it while I waited. I give these folks 5 stars because of the excellent customer service. Very professional!
Fog lights not connected when replaced, 80 miles round trip! Called and let them know what they missed
I unfortunately had this company do repair work after an accident. The repair required an alignment. They supposedly did so. At least, they charged for it. However, it was poorly done. The car pulls hard to the right. I think they eyeballed it and just charged as if they did. Talked to a person that claims to be the manager. He said that he would have it done again but I would have to turn my car over to them and risk having my car stolen or vandalized. The place he claims to have had the alignment done at is next door. I suggested meeting him there to have it done. But he said that if it was done that way, I would have to pay for it. Why? I have to turn car over to his staff and leave it. Why? Unless plans to claim to have alignment done but not. Plus, probably hope that I would leave something(s) valuable in car. These clowns will NEVER have access to my car again. If I have to pay to have it done, then will take it some place that can be trusted.
This company requires a waiver of responsibility. This should have been a RED Flag. This waiver says Gerber isn't responsible for ANYTHING that happens to the car, regardless of what or by whom. When I picked up my car, all the doors were unlocked and the passenger window was fully down. They aren't even capable of basic security. Wholly negligent. They had my car for almost a month. During that time, it rained and high winds. The interior car had dust and showed water damage. I had taken anything of any value in the car out prior to taking car there. However, I did have some junk in the trunk. It looked like they ransacked it. They believe the waiver protects them and can do whatever they like. This is not specific to this location but is a company culture. Look at other reviews. See this is so. Just don't look at feedback/reviews on their website. They don't post negative posts. I'd bet they are posted by employees/friends or bought. This type of environment (no responsibility) encourages bad things to happen.
Another concern, would be their payments. They claim they take credit cards but this was a lie. They told me that they will only take debit. They will not take cash either. So forced to use debit. Debit has NO protection from the bank for fraud. Far as the bank is concerned, it's cash. Could easily change the amount after I walk out the door. Looks like a setup to me.
Don't know about the body work. Right now it looks good, but let's see in 6 months. I think this is a re-skinned Maaco.
Had a accident on Nov 26th 2022 i was 750 miles away from avondale on my to visit my daughter called Avondale gerber collision they said they could get me a estimate with in a week so had a friend come get truck and me towed it to them now when i got it to them they informed me they would update me on Tuesday and Thursday but i had to call them only once did they called me three weeks after being there they told me they had all parts in but 1 then the next week GM totd me it would be in paint booth by end of week then hour later got call from estimater and told me different story told him what gm had told me and he said that wasnt happening then after stopping in after Christmas he informed me they had shutter they where waiting for but know they where waiting for bumber parts then on friday the 30th gm called said truck body work was done 2pm said he was going to get tow truck to send to dealer to have engine checked due it over heated and i did inform him dealer was open sat and monday and he said he didnt know if he could get it towed still 3hrs before they closed and that he would call me back to let me know if he was able to get it towed but like all the other times no return call. So bottom line communication is not there stong point. Any questions Jesse *******012
RUN AWAY! This place is a joke. They scam people and add more damage than is really there. I know vehicles, and know what damage was done to the vehicle, and they came back with a bunch of bs. What happened? Either they lied or broke pieces when taking off other pieces then pretended it was not them. They also took a WEEK to paint. A paint job takes less than a day. Again, have people in this industry, just not local or no longer doing it. The child (not even worth calling her a women or girl), Jolie, is HORRID. NO CUSTOMER service at all, and treats everyone that walks in like they are idiots. Even said "I get my money either way" when asked what would happen if insurance did not pay them. They go up on price WITHOUT contacting anyone. Went here when someone else said they liked it, but that was over a year ago. Guess they like going out a business one day with their nine professional selves.
Very dissatisfied with the auto repair process/ experience. Estimate given was 15-days. It took them a total of 53-days before I could get my car. Even after the Quarter panel it took them 27-days to deliver my car. Estimate date seems like just a pencil wiping process at Gerber; owner does not provide you any ETA on the repair. Seems an utter lack of planning process. Sent email to the corporate office—looks like they lack customer care. Overall, it was a horrendous experience—would not recommend.
John was fantastic! Really like this place. Made time to see me quickly, and the bumper turned out an easy fix! I will definitely come back, and suggest them to everyone! Very honest business!
My car was scheduled in on 08/10/22... after 5 and half weeks delays and okay communication from Gerber in Muncie on Mcgalliard. We got the car back. Drove from Muncie to Winchester... started putting things back into the car to find out it was not put back together. Had to return to Gerber to have it put back together... and the rubber seal was also not put back in correctly either... sure I should have checked I will own that... but GEEZ! Also the door handle has over spray on it... which is just flat SAD!
Hopefully I'll never need to have any work done again if so... it wont be at Gerber!
My insurance company sent me to Gerber auto because I didn't have a auto repair shop. My accident was on August 20th, not really an accident, my car was sitting in front of my house and was hit in the middle of the night by a person who drove off and the entire back bumper and other things came off. The car went to Gerber on September 8th as they had said to do on that date and time, and it is still there as of today September 30th, 2022. It took the insurance adjuster to go to the shop in order for them to start even providing a quote and pictures to the insurance company. I was told 10 days ago that I was at the top of the list, and once the parts payment I would be the first to have my car repaired. I am 60 years old and was diagnosed with stage four metastatic uncurable colorectal cancer and have to go to chemotherapy all the time which is really hard, but it's even more difficult without a vehicle. I only had the rental car for the allotted period of time from the insurance which was 20 days. I had asked them if they could help me and they did not. I call when I called today I was told that Jose had told me it would be three and a half weeks before I would get my car, but that's not the truth. What I see goes on there is they tell customers one thing, and then when the customer repeats back or let them know that hey you said this, they say no. So they're Liars. I don't know how my car is going to come out or when it's going to come out. But find it somewhere else to go and take your car. Not Gerber collision.
My car went in july 12 it was in a accident while parked i know it was bad so i asked are they going to total ti but they said no it could be fixed here it is sept 13 and still no car they keep finding things messed up about it and now they said they don't know when it is going to be fixed since i did not pick them i am going to call my insurance people and tell them to get my car because this is bs... so far the car has 10 grand worth of damages and now they are going to add more to the estimate i have had other cars with worse damages and it did not take this long i guess i will tell my insurance to just get my car i do have another place but i was patiently waiting for them since it was recommended... my car better be near perfect if i let them continue to fix it and i think the insurance people should send someone else the to make sure they are telling the truth because i know longer trust these people also my car better have the same milage on it as it when it went into that shop and it did have a full tank of gas so with the exception of a test drive i best have gas in my car i am so sick of them saying they need more of anything on my car i will never recommend them not even for a oil change... i done and getting ready to see how much more they are going to add to the estimate this is bull shet
Every member of the Gerber team treated me with respect and were professional. The entire process went so smoothly. I dropped my car at the appointed time, was promptly greeted by receptionist, and soon inspecting my car with a service agent. After they took my car I only had a few minutes wait for a free shuttle to Enterprise to get my rental car. Another great experience. I was ever so pleased that my car was done sooner than promised and restored to perfection. My car was beautiful, washed, shiny and cleaned inside as well, just like it was coming off the showroom floor. I am 100% happy with my entire experience at Gerber, everyone was personable and great to deal with. I highly recommend Gerber!
Went to them through my insurance. Before giving the car to them bumper had a huge hole in it from an accident sure but my Blindspot sensors worked. Also for the life of me I'll never figure out why but the shift lock mechanism on the inside of the car has gone missing. I gave them the keys so there's really no reason for them at all to even mess with that yet it's completely missing. The people at the front desk honestly don't know anything they are of no help even the manager Nicole I think said the lady at the front desk had no idea what she was talking about. Either way as usual when it comes to this stuff be prepared for disappointment. Thanks for nothing. Oh the bumper was fixed, even if they did half $#*! it. And for whatever reason steal my shift lock.
Waited 4 months for parts, finally got a date to bring in my car. I went to drop it off then he said we can't do you car because we got backed up. He said I will call you with a new appointment. LOL. Never gave me a call the day before. I had my rental all set up. Took everything I needed out of my car because it was going to take 10 days to fix. Palatka is a small town not many chooses but I would not take my car there to get fixed. I called my insurance company and cashed out and went elsewhere.
I would recommend Gerber to anybody! Great service and the people there treat you very well! They repaired my vehicle fast! Thank you Gerber team!
It has now been exactly 1 wk since I took car into intake center on Union Rd in Chktg for an estimate. I still have yet got an email or call on how much repairs will cost. I believe because I am not going through an ins company the photo of my damage & paperwork went into the circular file. I am now passing the word to avoid this place
