Gameflip is like the biggest thrift store for all the gamers out there who love great deals! Whether you're buying or selling, it's a reliable platform that consistently delivers.

I mostly had good experiences when buying (except 1 time when I got scammed), but as a seller this is a really difficult platform where to sell games. There aren't enough buyers on the platform and it's really difficult to sell, even if you have the cheapest prices on the market, even 60% off for a new released game, but no one will buy for days/weeks/months. The only time someone can buy your game is when you basically set a price really low (almost free), then you have a guaranteed sale.I think the platform should do more to attract buyers and promote new games listings.

They ask way to much information just to buy a gift card. I buy gift cards from many sites and they do not ask for all the information Gameflip asks for. It's absolutely ridiculous. There is no way they need phone bill, pictures of your credit cards, selfies with your ID in them, selfies with your credit in them. They just want this information to sell to other companies. Stay far away from these people.

I complied with their invasive verification procedures, yet faced rejection twice. The first time, they turned me down for omitting my name from my profile, even though it was clearly visible on my ID. The second time, they claimed I needed a "For Gameflip" message visible in my selfie photo—a requirement I had already fulfilled.

I was buying a game the game need a VPN I didn't have one the seller allows me to use there's but did not work as I was frustrated I told seller. I am frustrated and can't do this anymore keep the money. He kept my money and banned me from purchasing. If this is allowed here at this site owners are garbage.

I made an account to purchase a gift card. Only after I paid was I notified that I would not be able to get the redemption code for the gift card I paid for until I verified my identity, No biggie, I just need to verify my email address and phone number, right? WRONG! In order to get what I paid for, I have to send them a photo of my ID, a photo of me holding my photo ID, and a copy of my phone bill. They're asking for more than adult content sites require from creators, which is unreasonable enough on it's own, but the fact that these requirements aren't communicated until after you've paid for a product is unacceptable.

Don't use this site.

I bought $22 from Alexant200 and he scammed me, first he said it was a CODE which it was not he said I had to do missions with him, he barely responded and did not add my account nor did he give me an account to add, he then completed the transaction so now there's no way for me to get my money back. Will NOT be using this site again and would recommend no one else does either it's a complete scam and waste of time.

They hit you with a processing fee before telling you they charge one. They also require an uncomfortable amount of personal information just to complete an already started purchase. Secure payments, 2fa, and your phone bill are not enough. They also show you to their Terms page if they do not like your profile name. They don't tell you what's wrong with the one you choose.

Don't trust this company. They're not upfront about what they ask of you and demand.

These are real scammers!
These are real scammers! Do not even think there is something to sell or buy! From personal bitter experience - the site says that funds from the sale can be immediately withdrawn to Bitcoin or paypal. - it turns out that you need to have at least 20 sales for withdrawal. In short, bypass these rogues!

Zendesk. ком - оказывается что для вывода нужно иметь минимум 20 продаж. Короче обходите стороной этих проходимцев!

This website scam me! I'm a seller and a buyer at this website. But I mostly sells things like gift card. My ACCOUNT GOT "SUSPENDED" for no reason. I have contacted their email support. And I haven't hear from them yet. If they don't respond within 2 weeks. I will report your website to website scam association. And they can shut down your website. I will also report to law enforcement. I have $160 in my gameflip account from selling amazon gift card. I have a 100% positive rating! And my buyers always trust me. I never gives out bad codes. I wouldn't recommen this website to anyone because if you have large amount of money in you gameflip account they will most likely suspend you. I think that's why they suspend me. Now they probably searching for a reason, "why" SCAM COMPANY!

I had mostly used the site for steam keys, and one steam gift card, and that worked really well. So I thought I would try to get a gift card from a major retailer, Walmart. So I get the card, load it to my account, no problem. I try to use it online to buy a TV, and then place my order. I immediately get a cancellation notice right after it completes, for return violations. After checking the e-mail history I e-mail Walmart, no help, and then I e-mail Gameflip, even less help. I had e-mailed gameflip the day I found out that the card didn't work, which was the day after I had purchased. Their reply had stated that they had already sent payment and would be investigating. No reply since. What kind of guarantee do they have that does nothing to protect buyers? I would not buy gift cards here, and I probably won't even use the site again because I can't afford to have my Steam account deactivated for a fraudulent purchase like I can with Walmart

I opened an account so I could buy some Amazon cards for cheaper. I got a welcome code which was a nice surprise. I found a $25 GC for cheaper plus the code it was a great deal. They asked for my cell number and sent me a verification code to make sure it was mine (no issues), they had me put in my credit card security code to make sure I have it (like every other online store, no biggie)…. BUT then they wanted a picture of my driver's license?!? That seems like a red flag to me. Or a picture of my phone bill?!? Ummm what?! Then a picture of my credit card front and back?!? I haven been shopping online forever and NEVER once had any place ask for all this information! My credit card was charged but I refuse to give this information so now I have to make sure I get refunded. Seems like they are putting their customers at a huge risk by asking for all this information. I don't need my information stolen, so no thank you. I guess they don't need me as their customer. ‍

This site worked well for me for a while and then sellers started saying they delivered and were lying. The site is essentially a middleman and is supposed to be guaranteed for the buyer yet they sometimes side with seller even win there is no proof of transaction and buyers are supposed to screenshot proofs. I lost over $1400 cumulatively from buyers that never delivered and the site sided with seller with my trade book proving items never delivered. Only buy from sellers with hundreds of positive feedback is my suggestion or don't use the site it's risky.

Tip for consumers:
Be very careful keep records and screen shot all transactions and be prepared for that to still not be enough to win disputes where sellers lie about delivery. Also only use sellers with lots and lots of positive feedback

The title says it all. I reached out to customer service regarding a problem where I do not have the products I paid for. I received a generic initial response but then my next 6 emails have been completely ignored. Terrible business practices.

They take over 24 hours to verify a purchase. And this is after taking 3 days to verify an account after joining. I've uploaded selfies with my passport and my bank card. They now have all my details and it's taken 4 days and still I have not been able to make a purchase. This feels shady and corrupt. I am not comfortable with them having all these details especially when they are Still not allowing me to make purchases. 1 star company. Stay well away. They can not even operate on their most basic fundamentals of how an online company should operate.

Tip for consumers:
Don't. It's extremely time wasting and a LONG process to join the site. You aren't allowed to add funds via the app. It has to be done on a computer. The conversion fees are very high if you don't have an American bank account.
They are clearly behind on the times and ar evening greedy when they already make plenty of money on fees for every purchase and sale.

First time buyer, WARNING ALL OTHER POTENTIAL FIRST TIME BUYERS.

In order to make a purchase on this site, for me was a $37 Itunes Gift Card, you need to provide the following:

1. Front and Back of your ID, along with a selfie of you holding the ID and a piece of paper saying it is for gameflip
2. Front and Back of your credit card, along with another selfie just in case.
3. Your cell phone statement, showing your name, address, and telephone number
After you provide all that, you have to deal with the rejections (hey that piece of paper now should include date and the words "its for gameflip"; hey we can't see your name on the credit card even thought that information is already typed when you made the purchase and we can see the last 4 digits of the card is the same) and your own sense of you just submitted documents for someone to commit identity fraud on you.
But if after reading all that, and your own confidence that GameFlip, based in Silicon Valley, have a better security than Apple, Venmo, Paypal, or Google (because neither of those companies ever requested that much information from users when they use their products such as Apple Wallet, Google Pay, etc). Then I can say with confidence that you should proceed to make your first purchase.
Me on the other hand? Most likely pass. I really don't want to share that much information just for $37. Now I just hope that the complete deletion of my information under CCPA is easy (fingers crossed).

This is a terrible site for sellers. There is no protection from buyers returning gift card codes because it is very hard to prove a code was unused before selling it. Buyers can also use the site setup to claim they bought the wrong product and get a refund. Then they have access to your gift card code to use freely.

1- Proving the code was unused is easy if you have purchased it from a trusted source, which means you need the original receipt of purchase and all the information about the source of the code. If the support finds inconsistencies or lack of information to refute the buyer's evidence and arguments.

2- In case the buyer asks for cancelation just because he bought the wrong item, it is only possible while the payment is pending, not approved, so he must follow the steps in our F. A. Q:

"Immediately after placing the order. If you change your mind or made a mistake, you can cancel the order within 1-2 minutes while it is processing."

The buyer can't see the code at this moment and the listing is automatically re-listed being available for other buyers.

NOTE buyers will only have access to the code when they are no longer able to manually cancel the purchase, they will have to open a dispute and the reasons can be only related to the quality of the code, which means if the code it's working or not or in case there are issues with the delivery.

In case the buyer opens a dispute to say he made a mistake, there is only one option: If the seller decides to manually cancel the transaction by his own decision.

Gameflip does not consider "mistake purchases" a valid reason for a dispute. And it is not covered by our Buyer's Guarantee.

NEVER buy games here or from a second party! There is a high risk you will get SCAMMED! Play Station will temporarily deactivate your account from playing online without notice, it wilL require Lots of proof of information And takes a long time!

I have no reason to believe that the unauthorized charges on my Discover card were ever valid Discover has canceled my charges and is pursuing relief from Gameflip.
Since my discover card never leaves my possession, I have no idea how these charges were made or who authorized them since I did not. I had never heard of this company until I called Discover billing and found out where the charges originated.

Purchase one card last night. Went through no problems. Brought bigger card from another seller. Pin code never worked. Got a refund. 3rd card is pending due to fraud. Yet my funds are on hold in PayPal. Now I'm fighting with them to give me the pin or release my funds back to me today not in 3 days. 2 cards are from same seller. The one cancel and the one held up.

They withhold your payments for weeks, it's a form of scam. I have been trying to withdraw my money for more than 15 days, it is more than $3700.

sellers be careful, do not have too much money in the account. because then they do the impossible not to let you withdraw, in my case they have not let me withdraw the $3700 that I have for 16 days

After purchasing some Robux for my daughter's account (5000 listing with nothing said about delivery method), I received 3500 robux because seller only purchased for 5000 robux item I had for sale.No where was it stated I'd have a fee of 30% charged on me and if I had know, I'd have chosen other seller speaking about this fee, yet delivering more for my money.
Filled a claim with proof of 3500 robux delivery and after 1 week, was said the seller was right.
This website is an absolute scam, even if the amount of money stolen is small and not significant at all (about 6$), the principle is the same.
It means you aren't protected in any way if you are stolen from by a seller since they will side with them even if you have proofs.

Tip for consumers:
Avoid unless you are ready to gamble your money. Successful transaction depends on the honesty of seller and NOT on the website "guaranteed" protection.

At first I researched the site and it seemed pretty legit but I was going to get something and for currency was 5$ And I did phone verification and put my card in and it charged my card but then said it needed a picture of my drivers license and phone bill and credit card front and back which is unrequired for a transaction and j would like my money back because that is a huge scam and isn't needed whatsoever to purchase something and I need some verification that Gameflip won't steel my info because this doesn't happen on any other sites. I don't recommend it is extremely sketchy and I don't know why it is rated so highly please don't buy.

The seller they're working with sold us a $350 Best Buy gift certificate for $300. So we were happy that we'd be saving money. We tried to use the card right after purchasing it but Best Buy said the card didn't work. We contacted the seller and explained that it didn't work and he requested a picture of Best Buy's computer for documentation that we couldn't use it, which we sent. (We purchased the product anyway because we needed it and were bummed out that we didn't save any money.) Then the next day the seller responded calling the Best Buy employee a bad name (that we can't even say in this review) and assured us that the gift certificate is good and that he won't refund our money. We didn't want to fight him and still wanted to save money so we returned the merchandise and attempted to purchase it again the way the seller asked us to do. This time the computer stated that there are no funds on the gift certificate and we have documentation of this, too. Game Flip told us that after careful investigation, they decided to side with the seller. We are still in shock and are planning to file a complaint against both the seller and Game Flip for fraud because basically they took $300 from us for a non-usable gift certificate. I can't believe they don't realize what they are doing.

Terrible service from the star. Has my account in review for 8 days then decided I wanted to buy an item for a really great price. That also was under review for 2 days and I had to write THEM an email about the sketchy behaviour. If there is a way to delete my info off that website I want to asap.

I tried to sell a game there but it took so long and had so much bureaucracy that I just gave up and gave away my games.
Seriously: why does this website still even exist? The people responsible for it MAKE A PROFIT and don't even care about the people that give them such profits?

The first two orders were fine buying digital goods through gameflip(IjjI inc), it was just a one-time checkout process through PayPal for the exact amount of the item if you use them. The Sellers left positive marks about the transactions. I am paypal verified no history of negative activity. A few weeks later I decided I wanted to try to purchase a gift card from the marketplace. As I was going through trying to buy the item. Gameflip was forcing me to only add funds to my account in increments of $100 max. They seemed to disable my paypal one-time checkout process for just the exact amount for an item without warning or email. If you send emails to support, they won't address the issue at all. I have copies of the support conversation. I did the increments 3 times which is dumb to be honest, this flagged my bank transactions for fraud which honestly upset me. I was still $100 increment short for item I wanted. So, when I go to do this last increment, Gameflip freezes this last transaction for review which caused me to the miss the item I wanted because it was sold on the marketplace. This upset me even more and requested a refund period and not dealing with this platform period. Since they seem to disable your paypal on your account and try to force you to do some dubious/dishonest add funds only process in increments to avoid paypal protection or banking protection mechanisms. Any Normal sound business just like ebay has a simple checkout process with paypal or a regular credit card transaction for just the item price amount. Not some mechanism to force you to do increment amounts of funding. Their customer support is atrocious, they won't address any issues you bring up, or even point you to any terms, because they know they are not exactly transparent about anything, very vague. They just bury everything across the site. They don't give you exact amounts about anything or supposed limits. They don't tell you why paypal is not showing up during your checkout process. Their customer support in my case will only offer to permanently ban your account in exchange for a refund. Even if you decide to cancel any transactions within in a hour or same day, your only option most likely is to take a permanent suspension from their marketplace. They banned my account and still now have my $300 for ransom. Refunds are a normal part of any business process within reason. I did no charge back to try to work with these guys in order for them to offer any explanations about the paypal issue. But once again their customer service is just horrible in my opinion. They avoid properly addressing any of your concerns for an amicable fair solution for both parties. When their only main response is to just to offer to ban you in exchange for a refund, in essence they are saying they don't give a hoot about you as a customer nor want you as a long-term patron for their business. Do they even have a customer service manager? I did not use any of the funds or take anything from them, just asked for normal refund requests the same day after their customer service was not helpful. If they were actually helpful, I would have let this issue pass with no refund request and this situation could have had a positive outcome. Word of advice Just be cautious and diligent when dealing with this site.
