I was a tenant in a 400 sq ft basement apt through Fox Management. Right off, they gave me the wrong mail key and refused to give me a new (correct) one. I got permission to paint and approval for the colors I used. The first few months I was there the floor covering ( fake plastic wood lol) buckled up and consequently ripped...I told the owner of the house, Bob Swan, who also does all the maintenance. He said not to worry about it and offered to replace it right then but I said to wait, no big deal.
In the two and a half years I rented there my rent was increased for $525 to $750. They rent month to month solely because they can raise the rents at will.
I moved out just about two months ago, fully expecting to get my whole deposit back. I am allergic to dust mites so my home is ALWAYS very very clean, even the top and inside of the refrigerator...literally a spotless home.
Instead of giving me back my deposit, they claimed it cost $350 to clean, $1200 to fix the floor and $900 to paint ( 400 sq ft mind you). They actually sent me a BILL for $525...unreal..
I have contacted the Better Business Bureau. These people are not just unscrupulous, they are crooked. They are rude and condescending, oddly, since none of them is particularly well educated. They are incredibly lazy and the company is rife with nepotism.
I wonder if they planned to give Mr Swan all that money they thought they could con out if me, since he does ALL the repairs and cleaning?
Everybody needs to make some noise about these people. The owners are going to keep using them until tenants actually refuse to rent a property they manage.
My good friend has been renting, from Fox Management, for over 9 years. She is on a "Fixed Term Lease" and after the first 9 months, Fox raised her Rent $100.00. It stayed the same, for 7 years, then in May, 2014, they raised it $75.00. In June, 2015, they raised it, again, another $75.00. Now, in March, 2016, her Rent was raised another $150.00! That's ridiculous! Since she can't afford that kind of Rent, she has been FORCED to move from the House she's really come to like. Now, I'm helping her pack up her things, so she can move, to a much less expensive place, to live. I feel really bad, for her, too!
Fox Management is the WORSE Rental Agency, there is! They are rude, and don't do Maintenance calls, when asked. Fox Management, at the Owners request, had a 125' Sequoia removed, from my friend's front yard, in May 2015. So far, they have done NOTHING, at all, to fix up the front yard, so it will, at least, look half way decent. It's so ugly, now that my friend gets depressed, every time she looks at it.
Also, she was on a "Fixed Term Lease" and she NEVER signed any New Leases (the entire time she's lived in her House). Fox Management had No Right, to EVER raise her Rent, at all! According to the "State Rental Laws" in Oregon, if a person is on a "Fixed Term Lease", the Rent can NOT be raised unless the Tenant signs a new Lease, each time their Rent is raised. She has NEVER signed any new Leases. The only one she signed was her Original Lease, back in December, 2006!

Government agencies are now taking a "hard look" at her and her business practices. Several people have contacted the winning law firm informing them of their tenant or landlord experience with Tressa Rossi. Looks like all those multiple negative postings shared by victimized tenants and disgruntled property owners, numerous formal complaints and filings to Fair Housing, Community Alliance of Tenants, and Oregon Real Estate licensing board have paid off.
