“Great product, excellent customer service”

2/12/22

Our old and not real comfortable memory foam mattresses (6 years old) in our RV needed replaced. We looked at several custom size mattress firms and asked on our RV forum for recommendations. Foam By Mail (foamfactory.com) was suggested along with a few others. Checking reviews and websites, we contacted several. The lady at foamfactory.com was extremely helpful and sent us samples. We selected what we thought we wanted, placed the order for 2 layer mattresses (4" foam bottom, 3" memory foam top) plus covers. The order arrived within a few weeks. They fit perfectly and after our 2 week trip, we absolutely love them! Very comfortable, very easy getting to sleep and no morning aches and pains! Superb product!

“Bad Return Experience”

Taha Y.
4/4/23

I purchased 1-1/2" super firm foam but I had several issues with my purchase: 1. It is not firm as shown in pictures. 2. It was cut without any care and it is not clean and smooth cut. 3.Foam overall feels like a cheap material, not lux in any way. 4.When I tried to return it, they told me that they will deduct their shipping cost from my refund. I was ok with paying return shipping but they will charge you for the original shipment as well when you return the item.

First I started with the 2nd to firmest foam and it was like laying on the ground, and then I did the next less firm and it bottoms out completely when you lay on it with 0 support. I have no idea how they can pretend their descriptions match these products and when I called for help within the first sentence I said "I need help with an order" the lady had decided she wanted to get me off the phone. Adios $400 and I have no bed and have to take both of these to the dump.

We ordered two bolsters cut for a daybed. They must have been cut by someone without sight as they were both different sizes and unusable. Now I start the process of trying to get a replacement or refund.

I ordered new foam online, I did the measurements my self. 7x26"29" I sent my cushion covers in to make sure they would fill them correctly and a Kelly took it upon her self to change my measurements Soo she could make more commission. From the back to the front of cushion is 29" They got the middle cushion right, but the other two were way off and they stick out. I ask her over and over not to change my measurements but she did it anyway and you can see the results in the photo. People ask me what's wrong with the cushions. I tell them foam by mail did it and here's the receipt
Cushion, Lux Foam - Regular WITH DACRON WRAP
7" x 26" x 29"
Rounded L-Cushion, Lux Foam - Regular WITH DACRON WRAP
7" x 35" x 34"
LABOR TO SHAPE TO (3) MAILED IN GREY COVERS

The length and width aren't the same and of course I let them know about the end result AND they decided I was the problem and tell me I can't order from them any more? The problem was her she even charged more for her $#*!ed up measurments and my cushions are almost busting open from a dum $#*!.

Tip for consumers:
The company should not change customers measurments to the point the seams are pulling apart on the cushions. They owe me a new sofa.

I ordered 2 pieces of 7-inch thick foam to my customer. One of the cut foam was made of scrap foams glued together. I asked for refund for the defective foam cut and they refused to provide. Tried hard to talk to customer service about their quality and they are refusing to admit. Will dispute with he credit card company

I bought a couch cushion in Feb 2020. I asked the agent on the phone what is the difference between the top 2 choices and she said #1 (the most expensive) will last you around 10 years and #2 (the next tier down) will last you about 6 years and that's the only difference. I knew I wanted to change my couch within the next six yeas so I bought the second highest price option. In exactly 8 months its completely deformed and useless! I contacted them and they told me the one you bought is for minimal use. I am a one person household who works all day and uses the couch and the couch cushion 2-3 hours at most every night. How much less than that do they expect it to be. I asked for their definition of minimal use twice and they ignored me. When I said that I was told this will last 6 years, they offered 50% off of the price of the #1. I'm guessing that one will last 9 months so I need to keep buying cushions from foamsbymail.com in less than a year every year. I would think twice before I buy from this company again!

Horrible, horrible company with unacceptable customer service.

If only I had read all the angry reviews online BEFORE ordering from them... (Don't trust the 5-star reviews - apparently this company employs a practice of paying people to write flattering reviews.)

I bought two pieces of foam from them recently. Shipping was slow, and when I finally received the product, the thinner 1/4" foam sheet was damaged along the entire edge, and the thicker 1 1/2" piece was so hard and old, that a simple thumb pressure test remained in the foam without bouncing back.

A return and refund request was very poorly handled. Linda, the customer service rep, insisted on a 25% restocking fee and paid shipping by me - which would have cost $60, plus the $20 restocking fee - exceeding the total price I paid of $75.

No amount of negotiating or reasoning had any effect. I guess Foam by Mail doesn't value their customer happiness. Or their customers.
Avoid at all cost!

Tip for consumers:
Stay away from this company at all cost!

I bought Dryfast foam 4 years ago and it served me well. I just reordered the same foam and it has zero support. We put it in our boat cushions and when you sit on them you done even know the foam is there!

Stay away

I ordered 16 pieces of custom cut charcoal foam for hard-sided gun cases. Their rep told me the cuts would be within 1/8", which would be perfect for the cases. All of the foam was cut oversize by 1/2" to 3/4". When I complained I was told the cuts were within their tolerance even though I was told 1/8". They told me to cut the foam down myself to the size I needed. And they charged me $100.00 to cut the foam. The business name is Foam Factory in Macomb, Michigan.

I was in need of replacement sofa cushions. I spoke to customer service prior to ordering my cushions. I specifically asked if the Dacron wrap (which is an added expense) would round the cushions out in the front as it does on my current cushions. I was told "Absolutely, the wrap is 1" thick and thicker in the front to round the cushion out and for added comfort" The wrap is less than 1/4" does nothing to round the cushion out. It is actually more like a piece of felt. The cushions are so hard they hurt to sit on them for any length of time. I emailed and called customer service only to be told I could not return a custom cut. My so called custom cut is an average cushion, nothing custom about my sofa. I then asked about returning the Dacron wrap since it did absolutely nothing for the cushion. I was told that was not possible. Customer service is very rude and dishonest. The name of the company is Foam Factory however the website also shows foam by mail
