FlightStats

Someone very dear to me was in a flight from hi chi Minh city to singspore on 17 January 2024 on Flight TR 307 (code share SQ 8539). The flight took off an hour late which is ok. But halfway through tracking this flight, flightstats updated to show that the flight was descending, in the middle of the ocean! It continued to descend all the way down to 22 feet and one can only imagine the terror anyone who had a loved one on this plane must have felt. I used another tracker which showed the plane was still cruising at thirty five thousand feet when according to flightstats, it must have been landing in the ocean. I was petrified until I kept refreshing and some time later, it updated to show the same status as the other tracker. I believe they did not fetch real time data which would have accounted for the 1 hour delay in taking off, and simply assumed the plane would be descending to land at 6 pm instead of 7. Either way, I have learnt never to rely on this website to track any flight related data ever again.

Fascinated to track my son's flight. Updates every minute. Great to see what time departure, over which countries are flying and that arrived safely

The website pretends to be "flight stats" but it also has separate website - cirium. I work with statistics and economic research and subscribed for standard subscription. No useful information was found apart from current flights timetable, which I did not need at all. In advertisement of the subscription they had departures and arrivals but did not mention that it regards only to current flights +/- one day. So, unsubscribed immediately after trying, unfortunately losing small amount.
They pretend to be flightstats, there's no stats, just tracker.

I have been using this to get updates on flight during the holiday season and it is a very useful website. One to bookmark for sure

The live tracker map suddenly became not available after I used it for five hours without explanation. It simply said data will be available after taking off. It has taken off for five hours for God sake. I was beside myself thinking of the worst about my only daughter ( yes I might be too anxious). A message of "the flight was fine but data is not available due to whatever reason "will be fine to a mother. I will never never never use this site. Thank God I found flight data from another tracker before getting heart attack in the middle of night. A heartless site, it is! Totally heartless!

I am tracking a flight that should have left Stansted at 17:10 and it's still not taken off, 17:48 however the stats say it's departing on time. Not true.

I have used this site frequently to check arrival flights to JFK, Newark and La Guardia airports. Very easy to use and the information is most of the time very accurate. There is a map of all US airports and many oversea airports. So it is not limited to the TriSate area only.
