Ordered a Fitbit charge 6 at the start of December. Was meant to ship and be with me before Christmas. No update on what was happening to my order. It's getting close to Christmas so I check the Status which has now changed to "On back order. Ships January". They didn't update me on this at all, and were happy enough to take my order through the website. Awful company and awful website. Avoid buying from them

Avoid fitbit.com
My daughter gave me the Fitbit charge 6 for Christmas. Complete waste of money!
Nothing is wrong with Fitbit itself, the app is not working properly. One major problem I have is that the app doesn't record the day of exercise correctly. It records the exercise as if I had done it the day before.
Eg exercise on a Monday gets recorded as if I had done the exercise on Sunday
Fitbit did it again, my watch died once my warranty expired. I should have learned my lesson with my first watch, but fell for the the $300 sense, not just 1 watch, but 3! My husband, my son and I all got the $300 watches and all 3 stop charging, and Fitbit's answer, sorry your watch is not under warranty, and gives you a link to their store so you can buy another watch. Work on you product, and customer service istead

Once Fitbit was taken over by Google, the customer service has become appalling. You will be held online for hours by support personnel outsourced to non-English speaking countries, with ridiculous requests like asking you to take videos of what the watch is doing (when the display will not light at all). After this, you are required to mail the unit back to them, and so far, 4 weeks later, I have gotten no replacement on a watch that was 3 months old.
Tip for consumers:
I have been a Fitbit customer for 10 years. No longer.

My Fitbit is not even 2 years old. I have taken good care of it. It will not charge anymore. I called customer service. Her fix was to ensure it is clean. As stated it took care of it. They will do nothing out of warranty. I feel with the price of it it should last a lot longer. Not impressed. Don't waste your money.

They are the worst trackers and I will never buy another one. Once again I have a tracker that is working but a black screen that shows nothing. You would think by now they would have resolved this problem and a lousy 45 day warranty! It's a joke!
I've had fitbits for over 7 years. I bought the charge 3 when it came out. It kept having to be replaced. I finally bought the versa 3. In less than a year they had to replace it because the face separated from the frame. Less than a year later the same thing just happened. Now they want to say its out of warranty and offer me 35 percent off another fitbit. As trashy as their products have become, I'll never own another one. I'll pay a couple hundred more and get the Samsung watch. It's bad enough when they took away challenges from our friends on the app, now they won't transfer warranties when they have to replace their garbage products. Please be careful when buying their products

Ever since google took over Fitbit, the software development continues to fail. My device is now unusable. Here is what my screen looks like on the iPad mini. You basically can't see your data. Charge 4 purchased with Airmiles June 2020

If I can give no stars I would!
Had Fitbit Charge 5 from Costco for 11 month and the device broke. They sent me replacement and that one broke after 3 weeks.
The only options you get is a replacement (currently on back order, need to wait 2 months) or purchase another model at reduced price.
HORRIBLE COMPANY, HORRIBLE DEVICE!
Do not buy!
Since Google took over, this app 100%sucks. Nothing works right,it's slow as molasses. I can't find anything without clicking several times or refreshing. I hate this change! I Will not be renewing my premium membership.
Over 4 months waiting for my replacement watch as part of warranty and FitBit customer service is still escalating my situation to some other dept to have this solved.
FitBit customer service dept should be called FitBit customer DISSERVICE.

I bought a new Inspire3 from Amazon. After about 2 months, the heart readings stopped working properly and I was not able to get sleep data. I also had an Afib episode that lasted 3 hours and subsequently had multiple Afib episodes and I have never gotten an alert. The heart rate reading was all over the place and showed a dangerously low heart rate for several weeks. I confirmed that the heart rate was wrong by using a blood pressure monitor machine which showed heart rate in normal range. I filed 4 support tickets on this issue. I followed all of their instructions to reset it and then it was escalated to the warranty department. I ended up emailing with 6 different "customer service" reps who just told me to do what I had already done and would not discuss replacement under the Warranty. I then called and got an agent who finally listened to me and submitted the ticket for a warranty replacement of my device. I had bought a new device. They are replacing it with a refurbished device. Fitbit provided me with not only a defective device, but also the worst customer experience I've ever had. Save up your money and get an Apple watch. Before this I had bought 3 other Fitbit devices that fell apart, stopped working, or the face fell off of the device. If I had spent that money on an Apple watch rather than these cheap devices, the money that I had spent would have made sense.
Tip for consumers:
It appears that Fitbit will do whatever it can to stall fulfilling a warranty. Also, it's pretty cheesy to replace a new (defective) device with a refurbished device.

Too bad I can't chose no stars. They don't even deserve 1 star.
I bought the Versa 2 for a simple reason. The circle on the front of the Versa 2 consumer packing clearly states "STORE & PLAY MUSIC". Except that it doesn't. Customer service tells you to carry a smart phone with you into the gym and then the Versa will control Spotify for you. Is that the same as "STORE MUSIC"? Not even close.
They refuse to admit that they have done anything wrong or misled consumers. They are arrogant and deceitful beyond words. They really don't care once they have your hard earned money. Basically "so sad too bad" - it's not our problem. Talk about arrogant.
Buy any product out there in the universe except a Fitbit. But don't take my word for it. Look far and wide at consumer reviews and all you will see are unhappy customers that FITBIT could care less about. I got taken advantage of: don't let it happen to you as well.
Tip for consumers:
Fitbit is brutal beyond words. Deceitful company.
Dont buy fitbit charge 5
I followed the advice to take off when showering and even did not submerge in water.
It still died in 6 months and I was out of luck since without receipt, fitbit will Not warranty.
They have my device tracking that shows I used daily for 6 months and then stopped logging / working.
I believe a company given todays tracking should stand behind its product, needing a receipt is just a way to lose more customers. I had a fitbit 4 and now 5 and will NOT buy any more fitbit's.
Tip for consumers:
Dont buy fitbit charge 5

I purchased my series 5 Fitbit off Fitbit NZ paid around $230. After 4 months it stopped working. They make it impossible to make contact with them. If only I new this I would have never had purchased. I'm never one to write reviews. I'm doing this to warn others as you waste hours trying to contact them and in the end you give up! Please be aware of this. It's a piece of junk…
I really don't know how they can get away with this…
I purchased a Fitbit last year. It was stolen in February and pretty sure never activiated. I just received a charge for a premium Fitbit subscription, but do not have any active subscriptions connected to any accounts I have access to. I contacted Fitbit and they are telling me that since the subscription was not cancelled before the renewal, yesterday 12/17, they will not process a refund. Well, since I was unable to access any subscription, I was obviously unable to cancel it. This is an unauthorized charge of $85.27 on my debit card and they DO NOT care one bit. I've spent several hours dealing with this to no avail and will be contacting my bank about the charge. This is absolutely terrible customer service. I will never purchase any of their products again.
If you ever try to get in contact with Fitbit customer support you know why I put worst customer support ever? Its because you can't contact them so how do you know if they are the worst, can only assume as they make it so difficult to contact support they have to be terrible. The watch was good, but now can't get into my Fitbit account, without account can't sync or set time on watch. Watch is now useless. Used Fitbit for many years but this has really p***** me off, so no more orders from me.
Tip for consumers:
Would buy from alternative supplier. Fitbit use to be great but seems gone down the pan on support

I've been using Fitbit for almost a year. I was at my goal weight months ago. My versa 3, and previous versa 2, both have a habit of pausing during workouts. This causes my calorie count and exercise time to be wrong, also it loses my heart rate when I sweat. I'm now at a stage where I am trying to build muscle so I don't look so skinny. Fitbit is only good for losing weight. I get no answers to questions in groups, little to no calorie count for weight workouts, and it constantly reminds me to get my steps in even though I have disabled it in app.
Fitbit
And overly priced gimic that the only thing it can tell you accurately is the Time.
I'm on my third unit now and originally bought for the purpose of monitoring my sleep and heart rate. First thing is that any doctor will tell you that these things can in know way monitor your sleep, it takes a machine that cost many thousands of $$ to do that task, and that has been confirmed with 3 units. The second reason I got it was to monitor my heart rate. It may do that fairly accurately while I am sleeping. But during exercise, it is out to lunch. It tells me sometimes my heart rate is over 170 on a mild workout, and my heart does not go that fast. It tells me my HR is 66 when I'm going full on. And to often it just doesn't register anything. There is absolutely no correlation or comparison to a heart monitor that actually works. See the attached pictures. The green line added represents the pattern of the elliptical machine and the HR should correlate to that. As for counting steps, well what use is that - you eat a bowl of soup and every lift of the spoon is a step, you scratch your nose, step, your typing on keyboard, steps, walking around the kitchen cooking for the family, steps. Every arm movement is a step so at the end of the day you've done ******* steps, so you think. Gimic, who cares. Oh, one other thing it can actually, when linked with your phone GPS, track distance. But then my phone can do that without a wrist band. A few other functions, it can set an alarm to wake you up. But as for the rest of the functions, pretty much a waste. You've already got the phone that can do them much better. The big disappointment is that it was a waste of money for one of the primary functions it was suppose to be good at. Of coarse there's the socail media aspect of them, you get to compete with your buddies who have the same, and still this thing couldn't tell you actually how many calories you burnt in a day because guess work is not accurate. Your better off to buy 10 timex watches for the price and you don't have to charge them up every couple of days. 3 fitbits later, never again with that junk.
I used to be a very Happy fitbit customer, but a recent update to the Fitbit App dashboard has changed that. The updated app had dull colors, and most of the useful information Fitbit users were used to has disappeared. Percentage of battery life that was previously available on the dashboard, gone. Details of sleep, gone, challenges, gone. Unless Google makes this right for the Fitbit users, I will be looking for a different tracker
I owned Fitbits since they first came out. In 2021, updated to the new Sense. Over the course of 14 months, it failed 3 times. They replace it twice. The last time, I was told I could get a discount if I purchase a new one. Seriously? With the replacement cycle, I got 11 months of use out of it. But silly me, after tossing my Fitbit and deleting the app, I forgot I had a Premium subscription. So it renewed. No discount for that, their policy is no refunds. Be sure to read their policies, because no matter how bad their they fail, you are stuck. I've NEVER seen such a poor customer service company.
Ordered a FitBit Charge directly from FitBit. It never arrived. Begin the endless battle trying to get a refund or replacement. Their notification emails clearly state Fed Ex delivery. Their argument to PayPal was repetitive submission of UPS tracking # that, when input to UPS system shows "invalid."
If you are going to order one of these devices, (and after reading all these reviews, maybe think again), get it on Amazon or some other vendor with reliable CS and shipping, and far better response to issues.
Tip for consumers:
Don't order directly from FitBit if you want to be sure to receive your device, or be able to get a refund if you don't.

Never received the FitBit Charge
My Fitbit Versa 3 lasted a total of 14 months. It was working totally fine, and I charged it to 100% one morning. That evening it just didn't turn on anymore. I bought a new charger for it to rule out a faulty charger. The new charger didn't help at all. Contacted Fitbit customer service, and after exhausting their trouble shooting list, they offered me a 35% discount on a new fitbit. For a $300 (cad) watch to only last 14 months is unacceptable. The watch was never handled roughly or tested to anywhere near it's durability limits. Just simply garbage
