Purchased 7 gallon Autumn Royalty Azalea that was pruned poorly. Shearing-style pruning left plant leggy, yellow and unsightly like a hollow wire basket. For a $100 plant, this is unacceptable. I will go back to local purchases to I can avoid wasting money.

The trees are taking so long to arrive that most of the leaves have fallen off by the time they arrive. You can see all the leaves that are left in the boxes. With an earlier shipment of 4 knock out roses, 1 of them was totally dried up upon arrival. There needs to be a better way to ship than taking one week to 10 days. With the trees, the boxes were taped closed. You can see that the staples were not holding the boxes closed. After the tapes were removed, you can just open the boxes without prying open the staples.

I was hoping this website would allow you to filter out non-native or invasive plants. It is disappointing to see invasive plants being sold and promoted as they harm the local ecosystems and push out important native plants needed for our pollinators. There is some misleading information, as the "citronella plant" is really scented geranium, not the same as Citronella grass, which is the true citronella plant, containing the oils which are collected for the candles and sprays for mosquito repellants. My box arrived upside down, despite the arrow and the words "this side up" which is a shipper issue I realize.
Order my first tree and it came in looking stellar! I was very careful and followed the planting instructions to the letter. Planted the tree in February (Zone 9), dug a hole 3 times the size of the rootball, added soil amendments (fertilizers, compost, etc.). Kept it watered and at first it started budding out and looking beautiful, BUT then it all started going down hill. The new growth started to turn yellow amd become dry, even though it was being watered regularly, the trunk bark shriveled and the tree was dead 4 weeks after it was planted. I tested the soil and it was great, no pests had attacked the tree I had no answers. I contacted FGTs and they were great immediately issued a gift card for the full amount. I have just ordered two more trees and will look forward to planting them in Dec 2025 or Jan 2026. Fi gers crossed.
Ordered trees from site a couple of times now, never had one problem with the service or the trees. Had a couple die once they were planted, but the amount of trees that I have plants to have a couple die, not really a bog deal.

I've been a customer of FGT for several years and have always been more than satisfied with the shipping and plants, even with their customer service in helping after purchases. But this year almost everything I ordered has arrived in good shape then they all died. I have no reason to believe it's anything other than the plant. They were well watered, and attended to as they shriveled up and died. They have been more than generous in replacing the items but it has been a lot of work on my end. I have new bushes/trees coming in this week as replacements. Hope these make it.
What can I say? The price was reasonable, delivery fast, and we absolutely love the plants. Originally intended for our back yard fence line, the little hydrangeas wound up complementing our seasonal campsite instead.

Answer: I ordered 3 autumn blaze maples. They have been in the ground for 2 years now and have yet to turn red in the fall. I did some research and found that they only turn red if the temperature conditions are right. I live in Idaho and we basically skipped fall this year and went straight into winter. So once again the leaves just turned brown. I am hoping to finally get a display next year.
