I have purchased 3 beautiful bags from Fashionphile, and I currently have one on reserve. All of my bags were purchased at way below retail, and they're all in pristine condition. I cannot say enough positive things about this site. All of my bags came with super fast, free and easy shipping. I would definitely recommend them to any and everyone.

“Happy Prom Accessory”

My daughter told me how much she wanted the Tiffany heart charm bracelet (it does go perfectly with her elegant prom dress). I inquired about the same bracelet I had purchased from my wife almost two decades ago to hear, "oh I got rid of that years ago for about $75 - $100." I was pleased to find a near flawless, certified replacement bracelet for somewhere in the middle of the full new cost of $700 and the prior errant sale price of my wife! Thanks for the help. She's a happpy upcoming graduate! JS

Upon trying to make a payment on a previous purchase, my bank repeatedly denied the transaction as fraud. Due to it being after hours, I was unable to speak with a bank rep. Fashionphile penalized me the 10% as the payment could not be completed by the due date. Stated I could put item on reserve but refused to issue the 10% back to me. I spoke to a manager who was very misleading and basically lied to me on that particular day which was actually her last day with the company. Customer service reps are not trustworthy when in inputting a note it's not done correctly and is done so they can justify stealing your hard earned money!

Bought a pair of $820.00 shoes online, tried them on in my home and they did not fit, never wore them and returned them however they ended up deducting $120 because they said I wore them. This place is a racket. Read the reviews! I would consider buying from a legitimate company. Clearly their marketing company does not know the value of retaining a customer, especially a new one at that.

Spend almost 7k on a handbag and waited for 65 days, they used the cheapest way to ship the expensive purchased. What's worst found out that there is no shipping insurance for the package. Still bless that I received the package but took all the stress because need to track it everyday. My first and last purchased to this store online.

WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EXPERIENCE EVER. I highly, highly recommend moving away from this platform. First, I had to email few times to find out if my return was made (after waiting for 3 weeks). I got a response back that they cannot refund it to me since I'm "missing" a tag. I told them there was no tag from the beginning and the product is obviously in an original condition. Then there was no response, so I had to call them and ask. They kept saying they'll try to give me an "answer" before the day ends for 3 straight days. I had to chase them down every lunch time for three consecutive days and today, STILL no response. It's a Chanel sandal that's worth more than $2000. I have never experienced this much unpleasant and time wasting online shopping. Please save yourself from this kind of hassle.

I purchased the LV Musette Tango Monogram on or around Nov 2023. This was my first experience with this company, and I trusted their dedication to handbags from a far. I was excited to receive this bag, as I had watched this company for years, but I didn't do my homework. I check the handbag upon receipt, all appeared as described. The second time I remove the bag from box was for carry, and that's when the Leather detached from hardware due to severe dry rotting, only tape held the strap, and hardware together. I didn't buy the purse to return, as I am a Purse lover. Unfortunately for me I was never be able to carry this handbag. I tried to negotiate with Fashionphile to return half of my money, and I would find a repair shop they decline stating I was six days outside of my return policy, however I begin calling days before. They refuse to honor the faulty product. Please Guys check your merchandise in great detail, as this company has scammed me out of my money. Even when I sent the handbag back, and the company signed for it. IE: They still refused to make it right
BUYER BEWARE

Tip for consumers:
Not sure of the return policy seems to have changed since my purchase.

I recently had an extended interaction with Fashionphile's Authentication Department concerning the authentication of several luxury items I intended to sell through their platform. The experience has been nothing short of a rollercoaster, marked by a series of ups and downs that have left me feeling both frustrated and disappointed.

From the outset, I was impressed by Fashionphile's rigorous authentication process, which seemed to promise a secure and reliable platform for selling luxury goods. However, as time went on, I found myself embroiled in a series of disputes over the authenticity of my items, despite providing certificates of authenticity and proof of purchase from reputable retailers.

The communication with the Authentication Department has been a mixed bag. While they were responsive, the tone and stance in their responses fluctuated greatly, oscillating between cooperative and accusatory. At one point, my selling privileges were reinstated as a "one-time courtesy", only to be revoked again later due to alleged links to another account and the submission of counterfeit items - allegations that were presented without substantial evidence or detailed explanation.

Furthermore, I found the imposition of an authentication fee, even in the face of substantial proof of authenticity, to be somewhat unjust. Despite my efforts to cooperate and provide additional documentation, I felt that my attempts to clarify the situation were largely overlooked.

Moreover, the recent allegations regarding the creation of multiple accounts and submission of counterfeit items have not only been baseless but have also cast a shadow on my reputation as a seller. The lack of transparency and concrete evidence to substantiate these claims has been deeply concerning, hinting at a potential bias in their assessment process.

Despite my respect for Fashionphile's initial stance against counterfeits and their efforts to maintain a reputable platform, the recent interactions have left me questioning their methods and intentions. The inconsistent approach to my case and the potential violation of several legal frameworks governing seller and consumer rights have been distressing.

In conclusion, while Fashionphile offers a platform that initially seems secure and reliable for luxury resales, my recent experience has been marred by a lack of transparency, inconsistency in communication, and potential unjust treatment. I hope that future interactions with Fashionphile can be characterized by mutual respect, collaboration, and a fair assessment process that values the contributions of all sellers.

I look forward to seeing improvements in Fashionphile's approach to authentication and seller relations, fostering a business environment that is both prosperous and respectful.

I purchased a Cartier diamond band last October from Fashionphile, then had a quote this October and mailed it back with Cartier original certificate and Fashionphile certificate. Fashionphile returned the ring saying the engravings have been worn. I wore this ring less than 10 times last year, I didn't see any difference in the engravings than the status I received it. Do they just find excuses to contest the authenticity of the ring? The worst part is, when they return the ring, they didn't return my Cartier certificate and Fashionphile certificate. When I contacted them, they said they never received it. WILL NEVER SHOP AGAIN!

Prior to May of this year, I never purchased second-hand but always directly rom boutiques and stores. I decided to try Fashionphile.com after reading positive things from them.

I started with small dollar value items and had a good experience, so I worked up purchasing a $1.7k 2008-vintage LV monogram bag. Fashionphile processing and shipping times have been very long recently (they're short-staffed), so I didn't get the item until almost 2 weeks later, when I was leaving for a 4-week Europe work trip. I inspected and it seemed fine, so I left for my trip. When I came back, I had an actual chance to use the bag, and I noticed the bag was asymmetric and looked strange sometimes. I tried to figure out why, and noticed a crack where the handles met the bag.

This is a serious issue for the bag as LV does not fix bags that have cracks in the canvas. It makes the bag worth significantly less than what I paid for it.
I reached out to Fashionphile and explained the issue, and they said there was nothing they could do for me as it was past the return date. (It was about 20-25 days past the return date, not months.) They told me that it was my responsibility to seriously inspect an item when I get it and return an item if I'm not satisfied.

This seriously made me mad as that is essentially saying that the customer is responsible for quality control, not the seller. It's a "buyer beware" type of mentality. I see two major issues with that:
1) Information asymmetry. Putting the QC responsibility on the purchaser sets a bad precedent given buyers may only see a few luxury items in their lives, and a few may be neophytes, versus companies see thousands if not tens of thousands.
2) I don't work at Fashionphile, why should I do free labor for them and inspect their items?

I really hate to read bad reviews. You can look at my review history - I give vast vast majority 5 star reviews as my parents own a small business and I understand how difficult it is to deal with Yelp and angry customers. However, this is just beyond the pale in my opinion. I am not a picky customer, and normally I let a lot of things slide and don't return items if they are slightly off, but this is a serious issue. I have spent time filing complaints with Better Business Bureau, Ripoff report, Planet Feedback, etc, reporting this incident to the FTC, and even writing to the California Attorney General. This business practice of customer doing the QC is unacceptable and can easily lead to fraud. I object to this in every way and believe Fashionphile should be held responsible for this business practice.

Tip for consumers:
Quality control is the purchaser's responsibility, not the seller's. If it is past the return period, you have no further recourse on the company, even if you find a material issue with the item after that was misrepresented.

I purchased two necklaces. I was surprised at the size of the pendant. They both were extremely small as if for a child. They are not what I expected or wanted.

This was my first and last purchase. I feel I've wasted almost $800.00.

Totally disappointed

I recently purchased a Givenchy clutch bag from fashionphe. First, the location stated the Carlsbad location but when I tracked the package it was actually coming from New Jersey. Secondly, I received the bag the tag was missing. The tag was in the box. The tag stated if not attached to the bag, the bag is yours! So I am stuck with the fake bag! Finally, I checked the serial number …Givenchys serial number is 6 characters The serial number on the bag has 7 characters! This of course is a big indicator that the bag is a fake. Please be aware as the company states that all items are authentic but in this case the bag is a fake!

I did a fair amount of business with this company years ago, and recently bought and sold a few items. Longtime customer. Not only are they offering far less than they used to for items they purchase, but my recent purchase experience left me feeling completely cheated. I purchased an item through their layaway program (as I have done in the past), paid it off but did not care for it when it arrived. Photos appear to have enhanced the size of the actual bracelet so I returned. They deducted a 10% Cancel Reserve fee even though I did not cancel the layaway but paid it in full. A total rip off scam. I was aware that if I cancelled the layaway before paying, I would be charged, but I completed the purchase. This is the ultimate rip off scam, and they have permanently lost me as a customer, buying and selling. Tried to call and recording said wait time was five minutes, after fifteen I left a call back number but never received even the courtesy of a return call hours later. Horrific customer service all the way around. Never again, lesson learned

I purchased a Return to Tiffany pendant with a heat etched on it. I have an authentic one i purchased at Tiffany's. The pendant from Fashionphile is sadly a fake. The letters are not perfectly placed like an authentic pendant. I expected it to be authentic as stated due to experts assessing this. What happened?

I have made previous purchases which were good. I trusted the company.

Fashionphile sold me a Chanel bag that is severely discoloured, but in the description, it's described as excellent with creases and faint corner wears that there is no mentioning of discolouration at all. The bag was sold for $4650 and there was another $750 of taxes on it as I had to ship it to Australia. You also can't see the discolouration from fashionphile pictures as they were taken from an angle that makes it look all black.

I never receive my package and Fashionphile did not willing to be responsible to it.
Bases on what they told me, they still require signatures on package delivery. However, Since the covid, ups, fedex can drop off the package just getting an e-sign. - which means they can e-sign anywhere and don't really have to see me. I asked Fashionphile to provide my actual signature as a proof- they could not, but they just told me abt the e-sign.
Funny thing is weeks after, i tried to placed an order then I found out Fashionphile suspended my account after i file this issue with them.- really? The only one time i did not receive my item and Ive been a member since 2017... i could not help but wonder if they are racist? This is too much... so i lost my money and my account?
Based on 2 events above, I can see they value their customers poorly. THEY DO NOT CARE
I do not want to risk another thousands of dollars on them. And you should't either.
I'd shop with other similar retailers.

Tip for consumers:
do not risk your money on them

From the business

FASHIONPHILE is a leader in pre-owned luxury, we BUY and SELL ultra-luxury accessories. We offer the largest selection of the world’s most coveted designers, including rare, vintage, and limited edition items.

We want to buy your luxury pieces and are committed to providing you with the highest payout value. FASHIONPHILE provides you with quick, safe, and simple methods to unlock the investment that is currently sitting in your closet.

Business Highlights

  • 100% authentic, guaranteed
  • The largest selection of ultra-luxury
  • Selling made simple. We pay upfront

Business History

On the surface, FASHIONPHILE is about making pre-owned, ultra-luxury goods accessible. Rare pieces? We have them. Your favorite wishlist item for a steal? We’ve got that, too. We’re about guaranteed-authentic Holy Grail products in great condition, and quick buy-outs on pieces you’re ready to sell.

But then, FASHIONPHILE is also so much more.

It’s the idea that what you want, can (and should) be yours. That luxury isn’t synonymous with hard-to-get and harder-to-pay-for. That without a doubt, there’s nothing better than the real thing. And that when we create sustainable, practical solutions — for even the most luxurious of things — we not only make life better but frankly, more fun.

As the very first ultra-luxury re-commerce brand of its kind, FASHIONPHILE is the brainchild of Founder and President, Sarah Davis. Like most of the brands we love best, FASHIONPHILE began in 1999, with little more than a good idea. In 2006, Sarah introduced business partner & CEO Ben Hemminger, who evolved the brand by expanding the collection and presenting it to a larger market. Over 20 years later, FASHIONPHILE is now one of the world’s top resellers of pre-owned luxury and the exclusive re-commerce partner of Neiman Marcus.

In the words of Geoffroy van Raemdonck, CEO of Neiman Marcus Group, “FASHIONPHILE’s hyper-focus on curating high-quality supply and providing best-in-class shopping experiences makes it the ideal partner.”

When Neiman Marcus calls you ideal, you blush and just, well, let it in.

Our promise to you.
Our customers don’t take promises lightly, and neither do we. The four you see here represent our deepest dedications, explorations, and well, our values at our core. We hope you take them to heart the way we have.

1. We make authenticity our first priority.
And we don’t just mean our handbags, although authentication of our products is essential and come first in all we do. It’s why we’ve literally written the book on authentication, and why our process is one of the most in-depth in the industry.

2. When we want something, we’re all in.
Most other resellers operate on a consignment basis. That means that when you sell a bag, you won’t receive a payment for the item until they sell it. Which could literally take weeks or even months — if ever.

At FASHIONPHILE, we like clean slates and clear terms. So to our sellers, we offer full buy-outs on nearly every item, with immediate payment processing after the item arrives and is authenticated. And to our buyers, we offer a 100% authenticity guarantee, point blank period.

3. The best service, always.
We provide many ways for you to buy and sell ultra-luxury to make your experience, well, luxurious. This includes free shipping and free returns (U.S. Only, see page for terms). Want to try something out but don’t want to commit? We have a BuyBack Program for that. Reserve Luxury Layaway which allows you to buy an item using payment installments over time so you can buy that must-have bag now even if you don't yet have all the funds available.

We know that shopping online can leave you wanting more detail about your future luxury purchase, that is why we have Personal Shoppers available for any questions that you may have about a particular item.

4. We value what’s unique in people, in pieces, and in perspectives.
There is no art — and indeed no fashion — without depth and range of perspectives, backgrounds, experiences, and tastes.

As our Founder herself so aptly put it, “the more diversity we share — in perspectives, in ethnicity, in skin color, in culture, in sexual orientation, in religion and in all aspects of life, the better the product we produce and the better we are able to serve our diverse customer base.”

In alignment with those values, we’re truly proud and a little humbled to say that over half of our staff are currently people of color. Their presence makes our team better, more creatively and culturally diverse, and more aligned with the people we serve.

And like every person (regardless of their differences), our entire team is always growing, learning, and improving. We actively seek ways to better serve our customers and community, especially those who are historically underserved. If you ever have a question or concern, about any topic, we’re here.
