FASHIONPHILE's Authentication department is a team of the top ultra-luxury authentication experts from around the globe, each of which, regardless of prior experience, undergoes rigorous training and testing through our proprietary program, FASHIONPHILE University. FASHIONPHILE has four tiers of Authenticators – all of whom begin their time as Apprentices under Senior Authenticators and must undergo a minimum of 5,200 hours to graduate to the next tier and be able to authenticate just seven brands on their own. Training is both hands-on and technology-oriented, with FASHIONPHILE's "Graveyard" of collected counterfeits dissected and analyzed in FASHIONPHILE University for a deeper, science-based understanding.
Before any item is posted to the FASHIONPHILE website or sold through one of our Showrooms, it is checked by two highly qualified authenticators specializing in specific brand names.
Our experts have been thoroughly educated in detecting "fakes". Whether it is a handbag or an accessory item, the authentication of every piece is reviewed and inspected to ensure that its details meet with the manufacturer's established standards of quality in: stamping, stitching, hardware, authenticity stamps, date codes, serial number (where applicable), materials and craftsmanship.
