I have been chasing a promised refund since Nov 2020. Even if the app doesn't work, they will keep your money! Over 150 emails back and forth with the same reply template advising it was being refunded. They also try bribe you to not put a bad review up. Promised a refund by Marc Jaegar 18mths ago for the service not working - still chasing money and been told over and over again " its bein processed" they are liars. They won't do anything they say they will. The app is clunky and doesnt work properly yet- and when it fails they still keep you money!

I signed up to the free trial it never worked they had an excuse for everything I canceled well before the trial ended. They have been charging me and I have never even used it I am still waiting for my refunds 6 months later. And I get the same thing 24 hours you will get a refund. It makes my blood boil that these scammers don't have to be accountable for stealing and they just hide behind a screen.
Agree with other reviewers on here. The app is terrible. But when you try to cancel, there is no way to do so, no way to contact anyone other than email, and then the same people give you the run around and bill you again the next year. Find a real company with real customer service. This is a scam with planted fake positive reviews to get parents to sign on.

I cancelled within the 3 day trial period but was charged anyway. I have been writing multiple email but always get told about partial refund etc.

Warning do not waste your money! I worked with their support for over a month and could not get it to work. The only way to talk to billing is through email. I was told that I would get a refund and 5 months later still have not gotten one. The emails always read "Our billing department is currently processing your refund issue." I have worked as an IT engineer 30 years and this is the worst software company I have worked with. Do not use FamilyTime and save yourself time, money, and headaches.

I tried this app for ten minutes, didn't like it, and tried to cancel-- no. 45 dollars for the year. No refund. Fine. But then I got a notice it was going to autorenew for the next year. Customer service assured me it was cancelled. It was not. I tried seven different times to get this cancelled. I was still charged. The only way to get this cancelled is to file a claim with your bank and have your bank go after them-- but save all of your documentation or they won't be able to. Be careful.

I signed up for subscription as this was the only way to use their app to figure out if it was what I needed. It states 3 free days and can cancel anytime. I only used it for 30 mins and found it wasn't what I needed or worth the monthly fees so I cancelled it. I was still charged 2 days after I cancelled. I have now emailed them 5 more requests so hopefully it is actually cancelled now. They also will not refund the $27 even with my screen shot of the cancelled subscription on the very first day.
Do not commit to automatic renewal. I was billed on 1/1. Once I was aware of the charge on 1/3 (1/2 was a holiday), I immediately contacted Family time directly and cancelled the service. They REFUSED to refund my annual fee siting a refund policy clause that stated you had to cancel before the renewal, and claimed they sent me an email, which I never received. Be weary!
If your kid has an iPhone you can't block 'some' apps like social media. Also, no matter what content filter level you choose they can open Instagram for example on Safari. Their solution…disable internet. Thanks a lot.

I would rate this zero stars if it were available. I worked with the help desk for over a month to get the app to work correctly. We couldn't get the app to work correctly, and I asked for a refund since the app didn't work as promised. They told me they would refund my money, however, that has never happened. Worst app and customer support. Once you ask a question you will continue to get auto-replies and no one at the company cares. Save your money and take your business elsewhere.

Read that it works between parent's Droid and child's I-phone. None of the functions the app provides are displayed... specifically monitoring messages. The reports list nothing, just say the log isn't available. While traveling with my child the locator didn't update and had their phone location several states away. I requested a refund and was told it would take 15-21 working days... after a handful of follow up emails with this company past this period I still haven't received a refund... 2 1/2 months later. I've been strung along and told "not to worry about it".

I purchased a premium version of the app because it promised features that it does not have once I installed the premium version I quickly realized it did not have the features that it said it did I submitted a request to cancel and was told no I could not get a refund because of a holiday promotion when I made my purchase. Beware of the software make sure you're 100% sure this is what you need does not work well with Apple products.

No matter what familytime says, they do not refund. They operate out of China. They keep chargingvyour credit card after cancellation. The only way to stop them is to cancel credit card and get a new card. Family time keeps telling you refund is in final stage for months, with no refund EVER! Try other apps before this one.

It is a scam. Am awaiting a refund since August 2019, they keep promising "you will be refunded within the next 2-5 working days". Don't avail of the free trial because that's how they suck you in. When I looked for their company location address to write to them to get my refund, they eventually told me they were based in Tokyo but then I found out it was China. They are fraudulent.
Very similar experience to those described below. If the same thing happens to you, keep your correspondence and request a charge back on your credit card. Don't let them steal your money.
The app has never worked despite being installed exactly according to instructions. They stuffed me about for 11 days telling me that someone would respond within 24-48 hours' before finally admitting it was an iOS issue. When I asked for a refund they refused because I'd used a coupon code offered as standard on their site. This is despite never delivering the service. A total scam.
This app is a fraud, I signed up for a subscription that said use was free for a period of time which I respected before unsubscribing, but I was still charged 45 USD when I didn't authorise anything. This is theft. I filed a complaint.

I stopped using this app a while back ago as the most of it functionality is now implemented by the free Google FamilyLink, and just found that they renewed my annual subscription and charged another year even without sending a courtesy notification prior to the renewal. Beware that unsubscribing is difficult if not near impossible. Your account settings (subscription) are very well hidden. Supposedly they send you a notice 1 month before renewing. BE aware it is a negative Checkoff. I checked all of my email logs and received no such notice and I would have been looking for it in order to unsubscribe. In many areas negative checkoffs are illegal as it is very a unscrupulous practice. One would have to wonder just how secure your data is when a company does business with such practices and hiding behind dubious user agreements? Stay away FAR FAR away.

I trialled the product and quickly saw that it was a very poor app. I became worried when there was no way to cancel online. Contacting customer service just got the same response as reported in so many other reviews.

I am sorely disappointed with this app. It does not do what their website says. It was a complete nightmare to set up and install. It worked ok for the first few days on my sons Android, but after an update has stopped working and is locking his device when it shouldn't. It doesn't lock the iPad, like their website says it does, it just blocks certain apps. And leaves Sky Go kids accessible, so defeats the whole object of switching off access! My kids aren't old enough to know about work arounds, but I wasn't surprised to read that older kids have managed it. Their advertised 24/7 support is a lie, they are NOT available 24/7. You're lucky if you get someone during working hours even.
