I knew this company is garbage, when I tried to attend an event organized by the city. The registration form asked for SOOOOO MUCH INFORMATION, that not only I refused to provide, but it actually made me angry to see the nerve they have to even ASK.
No wonder identity fraud in America is a huge business.
How cities use this company to put people's information at such high risk, I don't understand.
Oh, wait... city officials are yet another set of criminals, against the people, while barking otherwise, when they steal your votes.
Very stupid and difficult registration process. Something that should take a few minutes, took forever!
I tried to register for an event, and the Eventbrite website keeps covering the boxes they are asking me to fill out - mandatory information -, so I type in, without seeing the text box.
To make things worse, as I type in, the text or numbers get all switched from front to back. WTF is that?!
Some information already entered, is asked to be entered again, and it also gets erased.
It is very frustrating and stupid!
And, they put a timer on you, when they also block your screen, so you take forever BECAUSE OF THEM!
What is the timer for, EventStupd? To see how much you can stretch someone's anger?
Their stupid website provides prefilled questions, which don't help.
Their contact email is not an email for you to contact them, but, it takes you to pre-set questions, also not helpful.
I don't know why so many people use this idiotic company, including government events. Idiots!
Eventbrite, Inc does not care about the customers and allows for there to be scams and people to steal your money without backing up their customer basis. I just bought tickets for a New Years Bar Crawl in Boston. It promised a bunch of things like 4 free drinks, multiple bar access and a premium showing of the ball drop. I bought two tickets and when my friend and I went we found out it was a total scam! There was no drinks, and when we showed up at the first bar they didn't know what we were talking about! They were having their own private function and look at us like we were crazy! We walked to the next couple of bars and they looked at us the same way! We didn't have anywhere to go and was stuck out in the rain on New Years eve with burnt plans. It was a huge scam and I lost close to $100 dollars on it! Eventbrite won't give me my money back because of course it was nonrefundable. Of course it was, it was a scam! Eventbrite is a great forum for that because they don't enforce their event hosts to be accountable! You can't even get ahold of anyone at eventbrite they just send you in circles and circles. The event host hasn't responded to anyone of my friends requests and didn't put down any of their information!
Will be reporting to BBB and will not be suggesting anyone to have anything to do with them!
Be careful with this company! Never responded to your emails and offer the refund but is not true they like to cheat the customers.
Absolutley discusting service my wife bought tickets for coldplay 2023 cardiff as a xmas present for me my daughter and her boyfriend booked time off work booked hotel, bare in mind tickets purchased December 2022? Only to be told in march tickets are going to be refunded as they wher bought from a 3rd party supplier and can get more money elsewhere for tickets absolutely discusting company will never book with Event bright again, should be governed by a financial ombudsman service dont know how you can pay good money for tickets to be ripped off and messed around, shouldnt be trading shows there are no trust in this company. NEVER NEVER NEVER AGAIN@ EVENT BRIGHT#EVENT BRIGHT USELESS SERVICE# DISCUSTING!
Bought Tix in January for an event in April which was cancelled due to Covid. My purchase meets ALL the requirements for a refund and yet they are denying a credit.
This company sold tickets to an event that was oversold then they tell me there's no refunds so I paid $22 for something I never got to see
Organizer of event (Ed Owen/ Nashville Tour Guide) stopped communicating after taking our deposit and first payment for a Solar Eclipse event in Nashville, so never received final bill even after a month of e-mails, phone messages. Complained to eventbrite they told me to contact the vendor who I had told them I had been trying to do for over a month. So I ask for a refund, they tell me I am past the refund date, So essentially they are telling me I can't get my money back, and I can't complete my payment to the event because the vendor won't bill me, and has dissapeared, So i'm out around $1800 BECAUSE THE VENDOR DOESN'T COMPLATE THE TRANACTION, AND EVENTBRITE REFUSES TO DO ANYTHING.
I wish to share the absolutely unacceptable issue that I have experienced in dealing with your company.
I booked event #*******742

Calendar-icon Friday, November 6,2020 6:00 PM - Saturday, November 7,2020 6:00 PM (EST) in April of last year. The event was canceled in October and I never saw a transaction hit my account. I waited until November to see if I would get the credit.
I never saw it on any bank statement. I assumed that I did not get the credit due to the fact that I had canceled the card with which I had made the original transaction.
After waiting until November to contact you all about. I got caught in a loop and the original email stating that I was due a refund referred me back to a link which emailed the event organizer and if I did a search on the FAQs on what to do about my situation, I keep getting information that instructed me to contact the event organizer.
Well, he had no clue what to do and wasn't entirely pleasant either.
It must be nice to being so flush with profits that you can afford to drive consumers away in a collapsing economy.
I vote with my money. I can assure you that Eventbrite will not be getting any more money from me.
A terrible system for business people to connect with support personal. I have tried repeatedly to get an answer from this company to no avail.
After I was told I could get a refund for an event, they then just ignore all correspondence -- DO NOT PAY for any tickets using Eventbrite. -- it is a scam!
They cancelled the event I organized for no reason and no explanation given. Zero customer support.
What a complete piece of s*** organization. Bowing to the lefthis woke crowd. Eventually you're just going to go out a business. Good riddance!
Bull $#*! company. Claims to give free tickets but take all contact informations. Then they say it was posted 1 year back

Update: Feb 13,2024:
Can Eventbrite get ANY worse?
Not only do they NOT provide decent customer service, but now they are now forcing organizers to do the following to list events requiring money:
1. Provide Eventbrite with their banking information to be paid,
And
2. Allow Eventbrite to hang onto full profits until they are ready to pay the organizer or refund the organizer's customers,
And
3. Only accept payment methods that Eventbrite's system will allow.
They no longer allow people to put links to external ticketing sites in their descriptions, and this is why I left.
All Eventbrite staff care about is collecting as much money as they can. After all, when you try their website (scan it through a website checking site), they load a bunch of other stuff of which half I could guarantee are advertisements and data collection scripts.
Eventbrite needs to be shut down!
I have attached the CEO's response to an innocent question, and I attached the email I received today with the event title and ID number blocked out
Old review:
So many reasons people shouldn't use it.
1. Its too slow to work with then creating events. Sometimes you can't even type characters without delay.
2. It's run by someone who told one of their customers to go F-themselves.
3. Eventbrite event organizers are FORCED to assign a price to events even if the ticketing is managed outside of EventBrite. This creates confusion to prospective buyers because if people want ticketing and money run by an outside source ONLY and they put the correct price on Evenrbrite, then eventbrite will have the money if people click the eventbrite button instead of following the links to the right ticket source in the description.
4. It cuts creativity. A chunk of your event page will be white with Eventbrite branding and your competitior's ads will show too.
5. You have to wait until sometime AFTER the event is finished to receive pay from EventBrite.
6. They'll market you and your attendees when they feel like it even if you delete your account. They even send a reminder email 48 hours before the event start time that the event is happening even if the organizer has cancelled it.
And here's what I may have experienced that I hated (and thus why I create outrageously high prices for my events just for eventbrite viewers only)... When I list some events as FREE on eventbrite despite the actual event not being free, some people were going for the free tickets, and it got to the point where a venue owner complained that some attendees wanted refunds... Had the attendees read the fine print for my events, they should have figured out to contact ME!
There's probably 100 more but I can't think of them at the moment.
Tried to purchase tickets to a Jackson Browne event in Woodstock NY and the checkout would come on and disappear, Eventbrite is a scam and shame on Levon Helm studios for using them.
Answer: The organizer is no longer available when you send it
