Product did not arrive on time. Tracking # was invalid. No one at customer service could find my package. Took a week to find it and ship it. I tried to cancel order and they would not let me. Package arrive, improperly packed and with damage to product. Customer service giving huge runaround and not processing return and not refunding $. Credit card company enlisted to fight this battle. I got set up with this company by ordering online thru walmart - do not order online h/w via Walmart, either. It's all bad.

Read the fine print... they'll take 2 business days to process your order and then the maximum amount of time to ship. Even if they say "it's in stock in our warehouse." They are a drop-shipper with no inventory of their own and delivery is totally out of their control.
Call customer service and hear the party in the background. It's not a serious business, just one of a collection of order grabbing, low-service ventures.
Ridiculous. Avoid this business.

Ordered a wall cabinet to be used in a remodel. Checked cabinet when it arrived and all seemed fine. As is often the case, the remodel was delayed and when my contractor went to install it noticed it was damaged. I contacted Essential Hardware and explained my issue. Was told someone would call me back in 1 to 2 days. No call. Called back and was told since it was beyond their 30 days for return nothing they could do. Terrible customer service, don't care about their customers. Do not order from this company.

I'm so distraught at this company for giving me the run around on a product i paid for but never received. They don't back up their sales. They don't call you back as promised. Never. How do you lose a five gallon bucket of paint, then tell the buyer it's in processing for two straight weeks. Never agsin.

Horrible!

I called and asked about an order before placing. I wanted clarification due to the way it was listed. I was told each "item" was 15 pieces of paneling on a pallet. I ordered 3, or 45 pieces of paneling. When the delivery arrived it was 3 sheets of paneling NOT 3 pallets of paneling. I refused delivery and called to enquire about a refund since I had been charged $850 for 3 sheets of paneling. I was told it would be credited back to me as soon as item was received at warehouse. 10 days later, no communication and no refund. Called again and customer service said there should have been an online form filled out from them and they would do it and then find my returned items before approving my money back. This place is ridiculous and has horrible customer service. I am sick of calling and emailing them. I am behind on a project and I am out of patience! I am suffering due to their lack of training of customer service.

I purchased a pump from essential hardware for $220. It was delivered damaged beyond repair due to poor packaging. They advertise "Hassle free returns". So I called and asked for a replacement pump. One month and numerous phone calls later, they wont send a replacement and will not credit my account for the $220 I am out. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH ESSENTIAL HARDWARE!

Horrible

Bought some items. Cancelled my order within 2 hours. They refused and sent it anyway 2 days later then refused to issue a full refund.
