This store us my new bff for UK goodies. The cookies came in tact. The chocolate although I haven't opened and tried it, was NOT melted. They placed a freezer pack which melted but it did its job! I have to admit I was expecting melted shortbread chocolate cookies. However, that was not the case! Ordering was easy. Waiting for delivery and/or ship time was just a few days.
This was my first time ordering from English Tea Store's site and I am totally satisfied! All the goodies were delivered fast and packaged well. Nothing damaged, crushed or crumbled! 15% discount coupon only gave an 8% discount, not 15%. Finding items on the website is extremely difficult. For just one example: you sell a great ETS brand loose leaf Kenya tea. If you do not know that it is named "Kaamba Estate", I dare you to find it without cursing. Organization of products, filtering and search are really bad.
Organization and search results of teas in the website could be better. Search filters not as helpful as they could be. But... Good teas though! Worth the effort.
I emailed to let them know about the Decaf Ty-Phoo tea. Only a computer response saying someone will be contacting me. I wrote again, this time credit was given for the 3 boxes, still no human communication. I wanted to let them know about the counterfeit tea, it happened about 4 years ago also. I was disappointed in lack of interest.
I was hoping all the British goods and tea could be fulfilled from this company.

Immediately after placing an order, I realized that I had forgotten to add 2 items. I was using a promo code, and the initial order was large enough to qualify for free shipping. I contacted English Tea Store immediately, however, did not receive a response. I contacted them a few days later, and they were unable to honor my request, nor to extend my special offer to cover the additional items. My initial order was quite large, so I expected that they would accommodate my request.

We have shopped at the English Tea Store for years and been more than satisfied. However, our recent order was disappointing, in particular the Taylor's of Harrogate Spiced Christmas loose leaf tea. There was pretty much no flavor, even using more than the recommended amount of tea and steeping longer. On contacting the English Tea Store by phone the agent was unsympathetic, and not polite or friendly. On another topic, I was surprised to see the 1 oz tea samples price jump from $2.09 last year to $4.49.

I ordered 3 boxes of a twining tea, I received a tracking number, however, I could not track the package, I received no email communication about my shipment which they said I will be receiving info via email. It took over 3 weeks for my package to arrive and upon further investigation on my part, I found out it sat in my hometown post office for over a week! I will not be ordering again

I bought these two gifts for my wedding to give to the mother of the bride and the mother of the groom. I was sad that I could only chose between two wood colors. I then had a hard time deciphering which box did not have the red velvet inside. I picked the one that said American Made that did not have the velvet in the picture.
When the product arrived, it was the one with the velvet inside. On top of that, the velvet was bubbling up and peeling off. It looked very cheap inside. I am very disappointed and do not want to give these gifts at my wedding. I contacted customer support, but have not heard back yet.

I ordered items from English Tea Store on 12/6/2018. I received no shipping notice so I messaged them on 12/11/16 asking them when my order will be shipped. I received a shipping notice that day. I just received my order today on 12/19/2018. I have a feeling I would still be waiting if I had not contacted them on 12/11/18. Shipping time took way too long.
I was shorted 6 crunchie candy bars in my order and they were packed so poorly that all I received were broken up from moving in the box.

My box arrived today. The box was damaged at one of the bottom corner and half of the contents arrived damaged. The Branston Pickle Relish was in the bottom and the lid was off (the lid was dented). The 3 cans of Heinz beans were each badly dented. The mince pies box was torn open at the back and several of the pies were split open. Pictures of damage are below.
Received teapot and was so disappointed at the quality. Several spots had been missed when it was painted, and made it look like second rate merchandise. May have to return it and pay additional postage. Quality Control should have noticed this and sent a different one.
The good is the items I've purchased and actually have received have been high quality. A lot more than I was expecting for the price and a good value.
I put in a $100 order and have one big problem with this site that is really annoying me to no end. I ordered a full tea set that said it was in stock and still continues to say it is "in stock" on their website. The set is not in stock and I received an email saying that it was back ordered and I'd be charged when it shipped. That email had no expected ship by date, even though there was a spot for it on the email they sent me.
I emailed them wanting to know if I could switch to a different set that might possibly be in stock because I don't fancy waiting around forever for a tea set. Half of my items shipped before they emailed me back. And obviously some of the items were purchased with having that particular tea set in mind. I've been told it's going to be the end of the month before I get this set. They charged me for the whole complete order though, even though I'm missing $90 of it at this point.
Obviously, i'm a bit pissed. You can bet that tea set better be here at the end of the month since they thought they were owed full payment for half of a job. I pointed out this set still shows as in stock on their website and obviously since they're getting more, they don't care but that's misleading as well. I can understand that something happens and maybe your inventory control system doesn't know you're out of them. Why do I have to contact your company for an expected ship by date, why is that date all the way at the end of the month, and why are you baiting and luring new customers in like myself who will see in stock and purchase with the expectation of having their item reasonably soon?
Their email back to me was one line wanting to know if I would wait. I opted to wait but I don't have the warm fuzzies about this company. You would think that they owe me something for the trouble of me doing their job and waiting a month for an "in stock" product.
I learned my lesson, nice products, might get repeat business again but will definitely never get any large orders from me in the future. I wish I had just gone to Macy's and paid more and already been done with it. All I can say is that tea set better show up at the end of the month and in pristine condition.
UPDATE: I just wanted to say that yes, I got my tea set and it was in good shape when it arrived but I stand by my original comments -- it took over a month for it to get here -- they offered zero discount off of the purchase for my trouble -- and it never updated to say out of stock. Not a good way to earn or keep customers.

Was going to order some tea and demi spoons, but suddenly, the tea was out-of-stock. It wasn't long before it was in-stock again, so I wasted no time in ordering. I'd ordered April 12,2015. Suddenly, it was out-of-stock again, right after I'd ordered. Then it was back-in-stock. When nothing arrived, and the pending was removed from my bank account, I checked to find my order was listed as processing. Then in July, the price for the tea was charged to my account, but sure enough, I received the spoons, which were much less in price. Emailing them, only got me an auto-mated answer. Finally, I emailed them again, when I couldn't get anyone on the phone. Another auto-mated answer. Then I discovered the charges removed from my account. I had received the very nice little spoons, though. Soon after, I received an email to say the tea was no longer available and I'd received a refund. So that meant, I didn't pay anything for the spoons. My order is still listed as pending and the tea is still listed as in-stock. So even though I was told my order was cancelled, I think in a few months, maybe the tea will turn up and I'll be charged. And, the one answer to my emails, was answered in one email account, saying I was being answered to my other email account. I'd already read it. I was also not happy that the spoons were sent in a small box, when they could have sent them in a bubble envelope, which would have meant I wouldn't have had the hassle I had once again, with my post office, to bring me my package. That's another story. Whatever, my first order with The English Tea Store, and my last with them. This is just no way to do good business. When I saw before ordering, that they were part of a group of unrelated stores, it left me concerned. Oh, yes! And that refund I received was dated in late June, before I'd emailed them.
The product was from an old batch and close to the expiry date though not yet expired. I ordered 4 containers to meet the minimum for free shipping - that was not a good idea!
It came up in a Google search for stores that ship British products to the US and offer free shipping above a certain minimum.

The issue I had was that it came a week later after it should have been delivered. The first delivery company handed off to another another deliver or partner and then it was handed off again for local postal to deliver. Tracking number was changed and not shared until I started tracking the pack down. Also said delivery attempted but no access. Access to what? The recipient didn't live in a gated community, and local post office said no package given to them. FIVE days later, I'm told I need to schedule a redelivery date...there wasn't a first one. Super frustrating to have a surprise gift for my 90 year old father be so late!

All the robinsons bottle were wrapped in clingfilm wand were sticky all over. Please do not wrap cling film as it does not serve any protection except for keeping your workers hands not sticky. I have not found where the leak has come from yet. May be one of the bottles tripled wrapped in cling film.
