I just wanted to say that I am not a big fan of thredup. Realize that you are rolling the dice whenever you purchase items from them. I have had items misrepresented (Got something that was "plus" but failed to mention it was also petite), items blatantly lied about (Got told a pair of shoes were in "like new" condition but when they arrived they were heavily scuffed), and just bad customer service in general (Remember the good old days of returns? Now the policies change constantly).
I've also sold to thredup and they're not that bad, in my opinion, if you have things you want to get rid of and you're not very antsy about how much you get from them. I tend to buy a lot of cheaper clothing but some decent middle class designer bags, and my bag payouts have been pretty fair. I wouldn't sell anything to them that you're determined to get a certain price from and realize they can reject items and just "donate" them unless you pay a guaranteed fee to get back what you sent.
I kinda use them only as a "cleaning out my closet" type of website. The best thing you can do in my opinion is learn your favorite stores online clearance section and wait for a deal -- sometimes you'll see an additional 50% off if you get lucky and snag some cute stuff for a fraction of the price.

This is a pretty good freebie site -- the selections are updated on a regular basis, the descriptions are pretty clear on what is required for each freebie, and I've received a lot of the ones I've tried to get from the site.

The site simply points you in the direction of the freebies, you have to go to each individual offer's page and fulfill the requirements to receive it. Occasionally, a freebie will have been discontinued or doesn't show up. However, there is a comments section, and I have noticed that if you point out a freebie is no longer valid, nine times out of ten, it will be removed.

I like this site, and I like freebies! :) Good site for what it is.

Luv them seriously, I have placed four orders and have never had an issue. Not only is their selection top notch but I've always had fast and affordable shipping which makes me happy. Occasionally, I've received free small gifts with my order and I luv the special offers when I buy things together.

Some of their items are high priced but since they have so many brands, I just usually search until I find a price point that I'm comfortable with. The reviews are also very helpful.

Definitely the only place online I'll buy Supplements from anymore.

I really thought Gwynnie Bee and I were going to be a lasting love affair but after only three months I've kicked my membership to the curb. There is plenty of selection on the clothing and while I didn't love everything, I did end up purchasing one dress from them in that time period. Some of the brands that they offer are cheap and shameless money grabs but some of it was quite well made.

The number one problem with Gwynnie Bee is their service or lack there of. I live two hours away from their warehouse and experienced a credit once for slow service (Although slow service was a constant problem). They ship everything from the USPS and I had a problem with them picking up my packages although they're already paid for -- I complained to the USPS and to Gwynnie Bee. Gwynnie Bee's suggestion was to "add" more items into my closet, they didn't even read what my email was really about. This last go around with Gwynnie Bee was the one I couldn't look past.

They shipped me another customer's order. I emailed them on Friday to tell them, the customer service rep told me my package was "obviously" still in the mail and going to come and to just mail back the items I got that weren't mine. The package that was "still coming" was the one I received, they had put another persons items into my box with my tracking number. I had to email a picture of the package label as proof and beg them for a credit to my account. I bet their rep still thinks my package is coming. I even said to her on the phone, I don't understand why I just had to do *YOUR* job.

The customer service rep said that it would take up to two days to delete the items off of my account that I never received and that she would give me a week with an extra item for my problems. Two days go by and one of the items were still showing up on my account. No shipment was triggered during that time. So, I was without items and it was their fault.

I wanted to luv Gwynnie Bee but for $40 a month, my service experience was abysmal. Every time I turned around there was a problem and they were all problems controllable by them. I wish some of your membership fee went towards the items you purchase but let's face it -- if you can't get good service or items in the mail, why pay so much? I will just take my business to the retailers that I like directly and start buying a piece at my local mall every month vs. dealing with the stress they invoke.

So much potential, so fond of showing off on their website how many members they have but do any research on reviews or look on their Facebook page and the complaints are the same: Slow shipments, bad service, missing items, etc... It wasn't my experience at first but it became mine as well.

Definitely recommend you take your money elsewhere. No excuse for this with the price they charge.

I also emailed and told them to make sure that I don't get charged for the item still left on the account that I never received. I warned them that if I get charged for it, I will be filing a complaint with the BBB. I was assured over email that I wouldn't be charged and you can bet i'm keeping the entire conversation from them until I know for sure. I don't trust people that screw up the #1 essential of retail which is customer service (Update: They did cancel the membership and I wasn't charged but I think that's only because I made them very *aware* that I had the details of the conversation saved and they had better not make another mistake).

Reason I updated this review (And dropped them down another star): After making it very clear that I cancelled my account due to how bad the service was, Gwynnie Bee left a comment on here, I'm guessing me telling the truth about how awful they are isn't that popular. I currently have a subscription box (not clothing) that comes all the way from CA and is a MUCH better service than Gwynnie Bee... Please someone take their subscription plus size concept and run with it and knock them out of business. There is no excuse for so many dissatisfied customers. If I received terrible service and I live two hours away, I really wonder how anyone else stands them.

The good is the items I've purchased and actually have received have been high quality. A lot more than I was expecting for the price and a good value.

I put in a $100 order and have one big problem with this site that is really annoying me to no end. I ordered a full tea set that said it was in stock and still continues to say it is "in stock" on their website. The set is not in stock and I received an email saying that it was back ordered and I'd be charged when it shipped. That email had no expected ship by date, even though there was a spot for it on the email they sent me.

I emailed them wanting to know if I could switch to a different set that might possibly be in stock because I don't fancy waiting around forever for a tea set. Half of my items shipped before they emailed me back. And obviously some of the items were purchased with having that particular tea set in mind. I've been told it's going to be the end of the month before I get this set. They charged me for the whole complete order though, even though I'm missing $90 of it at this point.

Obviously, i'm a bit pissed. You can bet that tea set better be here at the end of the month since they thought they were owed full payment for half of a job. I pointed out this set still shows as in stock on their website and obviously since they're getting more, they don't care but that's misleading as well. I can understand that something happens and maybe your inventory control system doesn't know you're out of them. Why do I have to contact your company for an expected ship by date, why is that date all the way at the end of the month, and why are you baiting and luring new customers in like myself who will see in stock and purchase with the expectation of having their item reasonably soon?

Their email back to me was one line wanting to know if I would wait. I opted to wait but I don't have the warm fuzzies about this company. You would think that they owe me something for the trouble of me doing their job and waiting a month for an "in stock" product.

I learned my lesson, nice products, might get repeat business again but will definitely never get any large orders from me in the future. I wish I had just gone to Macy's and paid more and already been done with it. All I can say is that tea set better show up at the end of the month and in pristine condition.

UPDATE: I just wanted to say that yes, I got my tea set and it was in good shape when it arrived but I stand by my original comments -- it took over a month for it to get here -- they offered zero discount off of the purchase for my trouble -- and it never updated to say out of stock. Not a good way to earn or keep customers.

Tip for consumers:
If you want something in a timely manner, this may not be the best option.
