I accidentally made a mistake on my subscription by choosing the wrong one and I emailed customer service for help. They got back to me and gave me instructions on how to get a refund, and it was really helpful.
Woman here. I met a few reasonable people, but they weren't the right match. It's certainly not as overwhelming and draining as other dating apps.
It does suck that some men can't see your messages, because they don't have a paid membership. You will get people from across the world who don't speak English sending smiles at you. I want to see more people in my area.
It's not bad trying the app out. I deactivated it, because it felt like there weren't too many men on there. Other sites have a higher amount of people.

I have been using this site for two weeks and have interacted with many people. The price is too much in my opinion and wish it was lower. Also this needs to be an app for android! It sucks having delayed messages received on a browser.

I talked a scammer from this app. He has pictures of a handsome/cute asian man. He tried to use ways to scam me for money. I did not transfer any money to him but I would like to alert users to beware. I really fell in love with him initially and this left me pretty depressed. I contacted the app but they did not respond.

They have very little users. They charge the men a high fee to join. Females are free. But there are no females. I used it for one day and that was it i basically saw everyone. I compalined to customer service. They said no refunds and told me to widen my search area. I'm really not trying to meet somone 3+ hours away from where I live. Horrible customer service. I get more out of the free dating websites. Save your money

There was no notification or email about any auto-renewing for EastMeetEast. They disguise their auto-renewing in the terms and customer service has no help as they say, "Auto-renewal is written in Terms you've agreed at the time of signup and purchase as well as Notes of pricing page. Unfortunately, there is a strict no refund policy for that". I had notified them the day it was renewed and they had no leeway. Absolutely terrible
I think this site is not a scam. The downside of this web is that it is a bit expensive and it is hard to take away the auto renew of the membership. But good thing about this web is that the people there are real. Also, the customer service is very patient and nice. I accidentally join the membership and they are willing to refund (well... partly because I am in New York and the state law requires them to refund within 3 days.)
I have tried this app for over a year on and off. I have noticed that I tend to get more views, smiles, and messages when I have not yet paid. Once I pay and reply to the message, I get no response from the person. Sometime, I think they block connection if it is real. I once sent a lady a message and she replied. When I tried to reply back, it said I could not send her the message because her account is deactivated. Sounds fishy.

You would think a site for Asians would be more ethical, but in fact, EastMeetsEast uses the same scammy auto-renew business model to keep subscriptions going. Here, if you cancel, the subscription ends immediately, you don't get the rest of the subscription period you paid for. So it's up to you to remember when to cancel because there is no, "do not auto-renew" function. Overall, the site is vague about everything from subscriptions to the meaning of functions like "hide." It's not that hard to engineer these functions so I have to guess it is intentionally vague.
Bunch of crooks. They can't turn off the autorenewal, their no refund for any amount (even a few minutes after the charges was made) and their customer service is horrible.
They aren't friendly. And the site is pretty useless for guys. You have a better chance on tinder.

Lol... I guess I got suckered into the three month subscription. Had a lot of smiles, visits, and several messages on free version. Upon sign-up as paid subscriber, I noticed the onces that had messaged me prior to paying disappeared as well as number of smiles dropped to zero. I am sure there are a few real ladies on this site but no where near the number of fake profiles. Beware guys. I should have known better and don't want you to get scammed like I did. Once you pay there is no going back for a refund. Stick to finding someone in the real world. I give it ZERO stars if I could. Today is 4-7-19
On a side note, i left a similar negative review on Apple where I downloaded the app and to my surprise my review doesn't show up. This company should be investigated by the BBB.

There have been sites focused on Chinese population in North America, but as I am Vietnamese, I couldn't register. This site is an Asian dating site that covers all Asian groups, and you can narrow down the search by detailed ethnic groups like Vietnamese, so it worked for me.
DO NOT USE THIS SITE! I canceled my subscription few days before before it was automatically renewed, which they don't clearly tell you when or how much they are taking, they STILL TOOK MY MONEY AND CANCELED MY MEMBERSHIP. Customer service is a joke too. All they told me was some BS about their strict no refund policy, even when there was a clear error on their system. And when I emailed them more than twice they just ignore my email and no response now. WELL DONE CUSTOMER SERVICE. Lol. JUST DO NOT FALL FOR THIS SCAM.
