I needed to replace my ionization a/c smoke detectors in my home that were 10 years old. Old ones were discontinued but you had a new direct replacement for all 7 I needed. They came with batteries and they used same hard-wired plug so swapping out was easy. Hardest part was changing base plate but that was nothing. Prices were great too. I ordered Smoke Detectors on-line on a Sunday night. I was surprised to receive five Smoke Detectors within 3-days of placing my order. I ordered on 6-November and the item showed to ship in 5-6 business days. I received the order on 23-November. 17 days to receive the product is terrible. It did not ship for 8 business days and was still shipped with the slowest service. Due to be shipped out late this product should have shipped at a faster speed due to electronicbargainstore's slowness. I could not even check my order status online without sending an email! Saving a few dollars was not worth it. I would rather pay more and get a product in a reasonable amount of time. I contacted customer service after 6 business days and was just given a new ship date, no apology or explanation for the delay. I hope improvements are made in the future.

Outstanding shopping experience! This was my first experience shopping with electricbargainstores.com. I needed to replace my home's original (model now discontinued) fire alarms. The website information recommending replacement models and the availability of a wiring harness adapter were extremely helpful. The price of the alarms that I purchased was substantially lower than the price quoted for the same model at other suppliers, and none of the others provided any information about the wiring harness adapters.
