I was torn between learning Arabic or Chinese from my home city of Dallas. I decided to go with Chinese due to my interest in their culture and country. I took some free trials with various online learning groups and decided to go with echineselearning.com.

I've been very happy with the results! I had some scheduling and internet issues and this company was so understanding and responsive. Really great customer service that helped my progress very well. My Chinese is coming along and I'm even ordering in Mandarin at my local Chinese restaurant. Overall great experience and highly recommended!

I live in the United States since my adulthood. My son was born in the US, and his Chinese is... is not good. But he needs to communicate with some of our relatives in China. Each year, our family would go to China during the holidays. I hope my son can talk with Chinese friends or relatives fluently.

Before my son started kindergarten, I taught him some simple daily Chinese at home. I found it didn't work because I'm not a professional teacher. I am very thankful to ECL Chinese School. The Chinese teacher Belle helped my son speak fluent Chinese. I know that Belle has expended much time and thought on my son's study. She is very kind and patient, and she always makes her course interesting. Thank you, Belle.

I plan to stay with eChineseLearning for a long time. They offer a great variety of courses like children, teen, business, HSK prep courses, travel and lots more. Plus every program comes in multiple levels beginner-advanced so you can track your improvement. All their lessons are individualized to meet the needs of the student through one-on-one live lessons. I highly recommend eChineseLearning to anyone interested in studying Mandarin Chinese.

I started as an intermediate level student, having been raised in a half mandarin-speaking household. But I really wanted to make it an advanced language speaking level, and my confidence has never been high enough to get there. I've had the same teacher for over a year, and can't believe my improvement. The online classes keep me motivated and on track. But more than anything I can speak with confidence with my fluent mandarin relatives now. I'm not so unsure and shy in high-speed converseations. Huge difference.

Theresa is a really nice teacher. She taught my son how to speak Mandarin. I tried to teach my son how to speak and write Chinese. But I just found it was a disaster. Even though I can speak Chinese.

I found eChineselearning on google. They offer online Chinese lessons for kids. My son tried one lesson and he told me that he likes teacher Theresa. She is very nice and patient. I often find my son laughing in class. The most important thing is my son can speak some basic Chinese words after a few lessons. I really appreciate Theresa so patient with him and working so hard to boost his speaking.

I took three years of Chinese in China and even spent a month there on a school program to Beijing in my senior year. Then, after graduation I seemed to lose interest in Chinese as I focused on my career as an accountant.
Lately, I've had more free time and I have wanted to focus on learning a new skill. It suddenly occurred to me: Why not get back into Chinese?
What's different from way back 10 years ago when I was in college is that today you can learn 1-to-1 from your own home, or even in a cafe! I'd read about online lessons as I was looking up information online. I took a trial class with eChineseLearning and got along well with the teacher. I wasn't a beginner, and the teacher put me at an appropriate level. The sales team was also not pushy. I decided to go with six months worth of lessons and I'm loving it so far! Highly recommended, as long as you have good Internet connection and a quiet place to learn.

The Chinese classes offered by eChineseLearning have helped me a lot in terms of pronunciation and understanding of the Chinese language, but the bottom line has been the improvement of my confidence. The number one problem I had was trouble interacting with native speakers of Chinese. Every since I began taking face to face classes via Skype, Im able to speak with native speakers easier. My teacher was amazing and very patient as I progressed. I really believe that eChineseLearning could help you, whatever your level and wherever you are.

This is exactly what I was missing in my studies! I am one of those people that like to learn on my own and preferably for free. I am good at self-study and a motivated person. I just came to a point where online materials are not enough to advance me and you can only get so far with just a textbook. My problem-not having anyone to practice Chinese with. I don't live around many Chinese people or have Chinese friends. I also have yet to go to China (I am planning a trip soon). So, I finally decided to bite the bullet and get an online tutor. The classes are great as they are completely customized to what I want to work on and super convenient as I can continue to do the classes from my couch. Its not a super cheap service, but its way cheaper than joining a program or university. So far I am pretty satisfied and feel like I am once again moving up a level.

When my partner and I met we instantly had a connection. While English is a foreign language my Chinese was terrible beyond "ni hao". After reading a recommendation on Quora I decided to try eChineseLearning. I really wanted to connect on a deeper level and after a year of study we are closer and both of us will continue to study our languages to better learn about one another.

I went ahead and started with their free one-on-one Skype lesson that they offer on their website and promote on their social media. I was a bit skeptical because you never know, but holy cow. I learned more in that hour than I did 2 semesters at my university. I'm deciding now if I want to move forward with scheduled lessons during the week. I really liked my teacher, so that may push me to go through with it. But if anything, just try the free lesson! High quality learning for free. Awesome.

After a month of trying to learn Chinese through software, books and apps I realized that I wasn't making good progress. In fact, I was actually repeating mistakes. I signed up for a free assessment test with an online teacher through eChineseLearning. I realized quickly through the feedback from the teacher, that my tones were all wrong.
After this, I considered classes or online tutoring, since it is cheaper than face-to-face tutoring for me here in Colorado. Fortunately, the lessons were great. I am making good progress thanks to the personalized feedback. I make a list of questions and issues I wish to ask the teachers, who speak excellent English.
Overall, very satisfied and will continue with them in the future until I can hit the ground running in China.

Service with a smile

It was great seeing that my teacher was ALWAYS happy to be teaching me. I've never met a teacher so enthusiastic. It's refreshing. Having been through other classes, I can say it's a rarity. I recommend this if you want to learn and feel like your teacher wants you to learn, too.

In Los Angeles it's easy to find someone to speak Spanish with, but it's a bit difficult to find a Chinese language partner, since most Chinese are busy with business and school. I decided to avoid traffic and just study from the computer at home. I took a few free trial lessons with various companies and then decided to go with ECL. No regrets! It's the next best thing to going over to Asia.

I was so relieved when I found eChineseLearning--I could learn on my own time, at my own pace--but with a fabulous, native-speaking teacher. It really is the best of all worlds. I've been wanting to dive into Mandarin, but because I work full-time and have a child, I didn't think it would be possible. I scheduled my classes to be at night after my little one is asleep--so that I can concentrate better. My teacher's enthusiasm keeps me awake for the lesson (not gonna lie, I'm exhausted by the time our hour comes)--and I'm amazed at how much more vocab I'm able to retain working with her one-on-one than any of the audio books I've been using in the car. So glad I found it!

When I first started taking lessons with eChineseLearning, I advised the tutor that my profession requires me to learn industry-specific words. I was very delighted that the tutor created a lesson plan that was specifically for me. I am now much more further in my career thanks to eChineseLearning!

I decided to take a Chinese for Business class a year ago before I went to China for work. At that time, I knew nothing about Chinese, so I worried about how I could adapt to a completely new working environment. I asked for some advice from my friends who had worked in China and they recommended me eChineseLearning. I liked their platform, which meant I could take classes anywhere, at any time. So I went to their website and signed up for a free trial. I was impressed by the teacher's professional teaching style, even in the online classes! So I booked 6 months of classes. Now I am familiar with the customs, traditions essential to Chinese business etiquette, and can speak Chinese confidently. Instead of being nervous about my move to China, I'm excited to put my new skills to the test!

Better than class!
November 15, 2016

I had been taking Mandarin classes at my local community college.

To understand the structure of Chinese Mandarin it was OK. However, I didn't get any feedback on my speaking.

I decided to go with online lessons so that I had a 1-on-1 tutor/teacher to mark my progress. I took 3 or 4 free trials and eChineselearning was the best of them.

The fee isn't so bad, really- when you consider the cost of uni lessons or a tutor in Chicago.

My progress is 3x better than when I was in the class.

Go for it :)

Following my best friend from college, I decided to move to China for at least a year or two and teach English after we graduated. I was planning on speaking as much Chinese as possible when there, so I wanted to get a head start before arriving in China, so I signed up for echineselearning's Immerision program and took six months of classes before leaving for China. The teachers could help me with my questions not only about language, but also about living in China and Chinese culture- they could speak English really well. I'd highly recommend checking them out... no regrets choosing them.

A Godsend
November 10, 2016

Chinese is not easy for me. Not at all. I'd tried learning three times prior to hearing about eChineseLearning. The problem was I was trying to teach myself with Rosetta Stone and a few other systems. It just wasn't working. I made a little progress with Rosetta Stone, but I quickly realized I didn't know how the language worked. I just knew what Rosetta Stone taught me was right.

Having a teacher has solved that problem. I get individualized instruction from eChineseLearning, meaning I get explanations not just basic answers. This has made the biggest difference. If you've been trying to learn Chinese alone, I recommend eChineseLearning. It's the best solution!

I still think studying a language in the country of its origin is the best choice. However, if you need to prepare to go to Asia or if there aren't so many native speakers in your hometown, online learning is a great option available. EChineseLearning seems to be the most highly-regarded company out there, so I went with them and didn't regret it. The teachers offered great advice and the customer service was prompt and attentive with scheduling.
