I'd give 5 stars but it's too expensive for feeding my dogs (4) even though they're less than 10 lbs

Absolutely amazing
October 14, 2020

Our Scottish Terrier took to Dr. Marty's amazing pet food IMMEDIATELY! Everyday ay 11:55 am she starts telling us its lunch time and patiently waits while I prepare her lunch, she does the same at 4:55 pm for supper. She did not need to be weaned off her old food she took to her new food right away with no upset tummy or diarrhea. We ran out of Dr. Marty's food and had to substitute her food until it comes, as we did this as a trial, wishing that I would have signed up for more. Big lesson learned there, my bad! With Dr. Marty's amazing food, our girl Lucky has bounds of energy, seems much happier and best of all much healthier! Lucky is also my 30 year old daughter's service dog as back in 2014 my daughter was struck by a minivan and suffered a catastrophic Brain Injury and we were told that she would not survive her brain surgery. I living in Alberta and her in Ontario flew immediately to Ontario to be by her side EVERY SINGLE DAY! She survived her brain surgery and after a few months in the ICU and then continued stay in the hospital she was transferred to the Aquired Brain Injury program where I was told she would never walk, talk, eat, use the bathroom or breath on her own, i am proud to say that this miraculous girl is now doing it all. We lost her first Scottish Terrier Chloe last November due to liver failure and seizures and Lucky was alone, now at 4 years old. Last year my daughter Vikki had 19 brain surgeries due her brain shunt being infected several times. After my daughter Vikki was finally through all of those surgeries she started having seizures and it was at that time we noticed that Lucky was telling us about 20 - 30 minutes prior to Vikki having a seizure. Lucky is full of life, character, attitude and most of all love. I made a promise to my beautiful daughter and to Lucky that I would make sure that Lucky is around for many years to come. Lucky is a vital part of my daughter's life journey as she is not just a seizure dog, but she is my daughter's emotional support as well! So a huge thank you to Dr. Marty for helping us to make sure that Lucky gets the most out of life! It means more than words could ever say!

Julie's response
December 1, 2020

Our companion (dog) Julie ( Siberian Husky/White German Shepherd mix about 50/50), is nine years old, and immediately took to the food. Love at first bite you might say. For subsequent meals I hydrated the mixture to various levels, and also mixed in some of her existing dry food initially( Blue Buffalo with the Wolf on the package, usually a salmon, venison mix). Positive responses.

Then I proceeded to use only the MartyMixture (M&M) The first few times she had difficulty getting all the M&M licked out of bowl pushing it all over the place to all the food out. Subsequently I mixed the M&M into small meatball/hamburger shapes. Suffice to say she wolfed them down with ease.

There have been some subtle changes in Julie's demeanour and other behavioural attributes. She does have a little more pep, so she is little less tired at the end of our daily walks. To say anything more at this time is presumptuous.

On another issue, I am trying to deal with Julie's foreleg gnawing. Just when I think things are on the up and up and significant scabbing has occurred if I miss bandaging the lg or putting a snow scone on her especially in the evening, the scabs disappear ( I don't consider this as all too unusual as I have picked at my own scabs when they felt too itchy, however, only at the last stages, I digress). I am sure there are some underlying issues here and I am obtain a copy of Dr. Marty's book on holistic tic approached to animal self healing.

In summary, I will be ordering more M&M as the initial response has been positive.

Sincerely,

JP Ratusz

We have two small mix breed dogs. Taco is a 14 year old Pomchi and Bandit is a 4 year old Lashire. Taco has never had a problem with his food. I swear he could eat a bowl of termites and be just fine. However Bandit is very sensitive. At first we couldn't figure out what was wrong. He kept chewing on himself, littrally tearing his hair out, crying and, making himself bleed. The vets we took him to couldn't find anything wrong. We were giving him Benadryl and using special medicated shampoo that the vet gave us just so poor Bandit could get a little relief. I was starting to think that we might have to put him down just to end his suffering.

I began to suspect that it was the food that we were feeding him. As I looked at the packages I saw the list of (for lack of a better term) poison that it was made of. So we began to search for higher quality and cleaner food. As we tried these foods, Bandit began to slowly recover his fur started growing back and his chewing because less. However we just couldn't stop it completely no matter what we tried.

My wife sent me the video of Dr. Marty's and after talking about it, we thought we'd give it a try.

Bandit has been on it now for a little over a month as of this review. He has fully recovered. The recovery is truly amazing! His fur is now completely regrown. He no longer chews and cries. He's back to being full of life and, happy and playful. Taco has also gotten a lot more lively and his fur as soften. He used to just lay around, but now he too has more energy.

Yes, it's expensive. Yes, the bags are small and yes, it's not readily available in your local store. But from our experience the expense and inconvenience is nothing when compared to results.

If you really love your fur babies and want them to be healthy and enjoy life as we all want to, then I would strongly recommend that you stay away from the poison of the big name brand dog food and consider what you would feed them as you would consider feeding your own children.

In my 64 years of life, I've always had dogs. But I've never seen anything like this. Thank you Dr. Marty. You really are a lifesaver!

I have 4 dogs aging from 2 yrs to approximate guess of 13 yrs.
And I for all means and purposes foster 2 beautiful german shepards both 4 maybe 5 yrs of age.
All had certain issues and all but one took to it immediately. It took an extra 2 days for my 10 yr old to take to it. But he did.
Each one of them not only loved it, but showed improvement in the issues each had.
They looked healthier, were more active and even my 10 yr old that has been burdened with tumors even started playing once in awhile with the 2 yr old.
I love each one of them dearly.
I hope I will again find it in my budget to provide them with this amazing food.
And everytime I have the opportunity available to me, I will purchase again.
Animals are a gift that becomes part of your family no matter what the circumstance.
I can hardly wait to once again give them this wonderful nutrition that makes them the best they can be.
When they love, it's for real, just as my love for them is just as real.
Thank you Dr. MARTY
You have done something so special for these animals.
And even though my budget at this point denies me this gift to them, I have learned how to at least make improvements that will benifit them.
Once again I thank you so very very much.
Sincerely
Rhonda Schmidt
My 4 dogs are the pit bulls, 2yrs, 6yrs &10yrs and then the chihuahua appr. 13yrs. Pits all over 70 lbs each.
The german shepards (fostered and loved so very much) 4 or 5 yrs and at least 40 lbs each.
This food is undoubtedly, without question the best and most nutritious.
I must say, my 10 yr old ( burdened with tumors) benefitted the most.
It brought joy to my heart to once again see him want to play.

My 6 yr old. Has had an allergies problem and after just a couple of days his allergies lessened, his eyes stopped going up and his coat shined so beautiful. This is just one of my 6 beautiful babies. Had sent more photos of the others but not seeing the

Poor Pet Support
February 27, 2025

I saw on google search 50% off for a new subscriber. I went to the site to do that as a first time purchaser, it didn't show up. I contacted the Pet Support and just got a generic response, when I asked them to answer my specific question, they just "beat around the bush" and told me to contact another area. Basically saying, they had no idea what I was talking about even though I sent them a copy of the google search. They wanted to give me only 15% off. I will get a better deal on Amazon. I will purchase there.

Dog food arrived in a shredded form vs kibbles. Add small amount of water and have a dish of mush.
Concerned it may not have been properly prepared.
Called with my concern. Another order sent. It arrived but still not the kibbles we have received for years. Agent would not deal with my issue. Told me to call back, would not transfer me or give me the correct number.
Terrible customer service.
I will no longer recommend Dr Marty. Seems as there is no quality control. In past it has had a funny order.
I am still waiting for a follow up on this recen issue

Never Shipped Order
March 17, 2025

I placed on order on 3/5 and after 12 days of not receiving my order, I called and was told the items I purchased were out of stock. I was not told this when I ordered or via any other emails or call outs from Dr. Marty. So they took my $324 and sent me nothing. Terrible customer service. I ended up ordering off of Amazon and will now look for a different brand.

A HEADACHE!
February 5, 2025

I have enjoyed getting the food for my dog. I have no complaints about the food. But the online ordering and how easy it is to mistakenly set up auto ship-- then how hard it is to stop it. Only to see that they double charged my account. Then they try to keep selling you as you attempt to exit your order. It all gives me a headache. This is my last order from them!
