I haven't tried other sites that do this and found dreamgen.com when I was looking for something different, but it sounded interesting and I have to say it is impressive. If you'd like to go on an adventure with an elf queen, or explore realms with an ethereal spirit, that can happen, flirt with a librarian or create any scenario from your imagination, and very quickly it's set up and ready. This is a chat-based role play, where you type in your dialogue or action, and in a second or 2 dreamgen.com gives you the next part of the story, or a character responds to you. I'm impressed with several aspects... there is ample amount of "free" chatting to do several scenarios before you run out of "tokens"... the characters very much converse or perform actions realistically and I was quite immersed in the story... it's flexible, so if the character responds one way, you can hit the "redo" button and the dialogue will be slightly different or take things slower, etc. I tried several of the many pre-set scenarios and they were great. Very few "errors" where it doesn't remember something from earlier in the story. I also created a few every-day life scenes. If wanting something very quickly, you can just type in a very brief plot (getting groceries), description of character(s) (the cashier is witty and clever and talks a lot), and persona (I am x years old and like spontaneous adventures) and hit the "create scenario" button and you are on your way. Type in a starting phrase "what do you like to do on your days off?" and the cashier responds and immediately you are in the scenario. Of course the more in-depth your plot and facets of your characters or physical descriptions, the more of those elements will show up in the story. It says there are no restrictions and I felt the need to test that and... yep, pretty much wherever your imagination leads, the role play can go there with in-depth back and forth. In the short time that I've tried it so far, dreamgen.com already added several more pre-set scenarios, and you can filter scenarios for user gender, whether it is adventure, slice-of-life, romance, etc. There are other aspects like Image Creation, but I focused on the chatting. My only hesitation is that I think it could be addicting and take up a lot of your time because it is so good. And it's kind of "scary" how realistic the dialog and actions are from the AI characters. Have fun!
