Looks like a great site but they don't have my small city listed yet (Appleton), so I have to post in bigger cities next to me
I used to use craigslist to find couples to play with (im a BBC) and I was really upset when they shut down. Doublelist is basicaly the replacement it and I use a lot now to find couples
Pros:
- Its free, that's very rare these days
- Its private
- Lots of people in my area (Los Angeles)
- Its quick if you want a quick meet up
- Seems like there is less spam than other sites / apps
Cons:
- Some people abuse it and over post the same ad, its annoying
- They reject your ads sometimes for no obvious reason
- Its private (yes, a con and a pro), so you have to do your due diligience and find out who you're talking to and whether they would good in person
- They need to improve email functionality / user chats
I'm in Manhattan and I use it all the time to find new guys to hookup with. I do wish they had a chat feature on the site instead of the email thread thing.
I tried this site after Craigslist personals closed. At first it seemed like a good alternative but I soon found most of the ads were fake or duplicated dozens of times. After posting off and on for a couple of months my posts kept getting deleted. I was baffled. They were much less explicit than, let and i didn't post any pics. Then post I had used previous all got rejected,
This site had great potential but it's squandered. Don't waste your time. No customer service at all.
I've been a member from the time they first started and it's def had ups and downs. Recently it looks like they've started approving my ads faster and there are lot more people coming to the site
Been on personal sites since the late 90's. Doublelist is the best I've used thus far. Impressed that they have a customer service channel that I can write into. 5-star service.
I used to use cl all the time especially when I was traveling. DL is pretty much the same but seem s to be higher quality. I just like that I can write what Im looking for and then find it that Sam day
Was an active member on CL before it went down. Was so glad when I found doublelist a few months ago. Hooked up with 2 guys already in the last week. I'm a 38 gay male and g always enjoyed the simplicity of the ad based model. Makes meeting people so much more effective. They're supposed to be coming out with some updates and new sections soon so definitely looking forward to that. Keep up the good work DL!
We're a couple in our early 30's. Been on and off Doublelist since its launch. So far its been a good experience for me and my wife. We've met 3 other couples and 1 we still see once awhile. We were curious about getting into the lifestyle and glad we did. Thx Doublelist.
I'm in Irvine, CA and it works here. Wish they had more city segments though, would be nice to break it down to smaller areas

I will agree with some of the reviewers that the site has some issues. The vulgarity filtering is a bit much but I might understand why they're doing it. They probably saw what happened to CL and they don't want to be shutdown either. Personally I like it because it seems cleaner and the people I talk to seem to be higher quality than those that were on CL. Maybe all the hard filtering is filtering out idiots lol So far I've met a few people and had some fun so all in all not too shabby
I have tried using doublelist and he has two major problems
One they filter out just about any ad one could write... the longer more information (even platonic) you put the more they reject you. You can't even mention the world 'sex' in the hook up area.
Having said that, it doesn't seem worth it to mention the second problem --- but... Unless you live in NYC or Los Angeles you aren't going to find many people... If you want t contact someone in Utica, there isn't a Utica section, so you have to post in the Albany section and home. I would guess the crappy first parent makes the second part

I feel like it's monitored by my parents. You can't say "dirty" words even though that's the point of the site. You can't post more than 3 in 24 hours, even if you delete old ones. And, if you're caught in multiple cities, you're in trouble. HELLO... I travel for work all the time and can be in a new city every day! Too many lame rules.
I can only review the sign up process. You need the phonenumber to join, but if that does not work - it says to contact them. When you try - you need the phonenumber. Which stupid coder would even consider this right? A monkey could do better,
I had no valguer words/photos in my post. It had nothing explicit or even sexual about it. I had 1 photo and I was fully clothed in it, yet my post was removed and my account put on hold cause I had the word "Sugar Daddy" in it. Jesus Christ this site sucks and are so random.
People can post nudes and to into great detail about their sexual fantasies, but the word sugar daddy is what crosses the line.
