As a single male on a hook up site life is hard...I said 'hard'! These sites don't need to make it worse by having a bunch of fake ads to rope guys into sending a message of interest. I mainly go to the categories 'women for men' and 'couples for men'. I started looking at 'couples for couples',' women for women' & 'couples for women' to see if what I was seeing was common in these other categories. It does seem to carry over into these other categories though maybe not to the level of my normal searches. The main thing I noticed on the 'fake' ads was that instead of showing the city where they are located, the fake ads just used a local zip code also many times the age that appears is within 2-3 years of each other. It's just frustrating, I haven't gotten a response in months and I used to get responses here and there. I sent Doublelist an email letting them know what I was noticing and they responded that their sign-up process is designed to eliminate fake ads. I'm not seeing that at all. I live in the Midwest and I usually check out 4-5 different cities in the area and it is happening on those other cities pages too. I see the exact same ad content sometimes from one city to another with just the city or zip being changed.
Looks good and safe. I feel like I'll have better luck with it this way.
