Sadly, Discount Mountain Software appears to have folded its tent and is ignoring long-time customers.
I purchased and downloaded software mid-2014 that was priced for a multi-user license. I installed and activated the software on 1 computer, and was told by customer service that it would activate on the additional machines without problems. Bottom line: it doesn't work.
Emails and phone messages have not been responded to for the past month, and their web site is no longer taking orders. Based on other customer reviews, it appears the company has been supplying a combination of licensed and pirated software for some time, and that they've now shut down all business operations.
The lack of clear communication or any response at all points to a complete loss of credibility. I recommend that all buyers look elsewhere - there are plenty of similarly-priced vendors.
Discount Mountain Software has the best price points on software solutions needed for residential or business purposes. They have phone support available Mondy through Friday and if you live in Denver, they are local! Free shipping if not.
Discount Mountain Software has been an upstanding company for years and was frauded by a vendor in 2013. Most unfortunately they were forced to close their doors. Microsoft had approved of their software that apparently caused the problems. This is just a shame for customers and Discount Mountain alike but out of their control. Often times bad things happen to god people!
In Feb 2014 I bought Norton 360 download for 3 PCs for the price offered elsewhere for 1 PC. I also bought MS Office 2010 about 18 months ago for a great price. All downloads and product keys worked fine in fact, I just tried to access the site to renew Norton and stumbled on reports of fraud, lawsuits, etc against the company. Wow... I feel sorry for the folks who had problems with the company, I can only imagine how frustrating their experiences were, smh. No idea there were problems with the company, smh. The products were great but I have to remove 2 stars for the accusations.
Discount Mountain Software and * are convicted felons. Easy to find out, just google them. He is a thief and a criminal. Stop posting fake reviews like oh they got scammed by a vendor. No, he bought and sold illegal license keys. PERIOD. GO GOOGLE IT.
