Discount code is sketchy, took random amounts off prices in a bunch. So I don't know exactly cost per item. So I don't know if the code came off correctly. Shady math.
Unfair deceptive return policies. UnReturnable items were not prominently marked, final sale. Buyer beware! Pics not accurate to some items I bought. Stuck with items and out the money.

Had to pay for shipping to my house and to return so I am almost $20 in the hole and have nothing to show for it. The shoes did not fit properly even though they are the size I normally wear. Company rep just said sorry, this is our policy.

Gift Cards

I ordered "physical" gift cards to be delivered by mail to my granddaughter for her birthday. They never arrived. I was told to go on their website and "just print them out". We kept waiting for the cards to show up-we were told them were mailed. We finally used the online card we were told to use-10 days after her birthday. Customer service was not helpful. Needless yo say I will order from other dance sites in the future.

Tricky discounts

I am really disappointed in my experience with this company. I received a discount code for free shipping when I placed an order. Instead of discounting the shipping, the price of the item was discounted. The item didn't fit my dancer and I have to return it. But I'll only receive the discounted price as a refund. So in addition to paying to return the item, I also paid for the original shipping. This practice is deceptive and needs to be stopped.

Return policy is

I have been shopping with Discount Dance for years and I'm through. They sell items such as dance shoes and outfits that are not always to size. However, their return policy is horrible. You are not able to exchange and you either have to pay for return shipping yourself, or they will take $5.95 off of your refund to cover their shipping method. For items that can be difficult to fit the first time, this policy is ridiculous. I sent back 2 items in re-sellable condition in the original packaging and paid for the return shipping myself. They refused the return, no refund and stated the items are now FINAL SALE and no longer returnable. NO WHERE ON THE SITE OR ORDER/INVOICE DOES IT SAY ANYTHING ABOUT THEM BEING FINAL SALE ITEMS. If I could give this company a "Zero" star rating, I would. There are so many other fantastic online retailers with reasonable return policies. I will be shopping else where.

Never BUY HERE! Horrible experience purchased $100 worth of items and said the item wasn't even available for months later charges the item from my account without me even knowing when the skirt was $15 they told me it was fine to return it but I was going to take that six dollars to return and was going to do that for each item for me to return never would I purchase here again and horrible experience from that customer service from Christina!

First off let me start out saying I have ordered from this company for years! I have been a loyal customer and recommended all my fellow dance moms to this site for the past 12 years. Last week however I placed an order and for whatever reason It defaulted my shipping address to my old address that I had when 12 years ago when I placed my first order. I didn't even realize they still had that address. When I received confirmation of my order it didn't show the shipping address, it only showed my order # with a message stating the items would ship the next day. Had it put my shipping address on that confirmation I would have spotted it in time to call or cancel the order. The next day I received the shipping confirmation with my old address listed. I called and let the company know that it was shipped to the old address. They claim that bc it was a customer error and not an error on their end, they could do nothing to help me. Nothing! I told them surely items are delivered to the wrong address all the time, and they must be insured to protect against that, where I was once again told that because I was at fault, they would do nothing to fix situation. I have never dealt with such awful customer service in my whole life. I will NEVER order from them again. To anyone who does, be sure you double check your shipping address, bc it can default to a previous address during checkout and you will be screwed out of your money.

I have worn the same size shoes for years. I ordered them in my size and they were too small. When I tried to return them online I couldn't get the order to come up and was directed to call. When I called the person told me that I should have only used the first part of the order number (no directions stating that). I couldn't exchange the shoes because it took too long, and I have to pay for another pair +5.95 for shipping and they would refund the purchase price for the first pair, not the tax and shipping. I'll find them somewhere else. If you order shoes, get at least a half size larger... better yet buy them somewhere else.

80$ shipping?

Hi, my name is Olgha and I'm from Denmark.
I and some girls from my dance class wanted to buy some dance stuff together to save some of the shipping. At the time I was buying the items it said on the page (I'm pretty sure)
"free international shipping with the order of 49$" So I thought that that was great. I went on and placed the order of 100$. The next day I wake up to an email that tells me that I have to pay over 80$ dollars for the shipping! WHY THE HELL WOULD I GO ON A WEBSITE TO SAFE MONEY AND THEN HEAR THAT I HAVE TO PAY OVER HALF IN SHIPPING!
I'm NEVER going to shop here again.

This has been the absolute worst company to buy dance costumes from. I still have costumes on Backorder from 8 weeks ago, and they still do not have a delivery date. Be very wary about buying anything from them. Unfortunately I am unable to cancel my order because it is "Final Sale"

I ordered my daughter's very expensive pointe shoes that she's in desperate need of replacing. I carefully checked to be sure they were in stock before ordering and what the estimated ship time was. All seemed in order so I placed my order. It's now over a week later and I began wondering why I haven't seen a "shipped" email. When I pull up my order confirmation, I notice there's something else in ADDITION to the 3-8 business days estimate included on it. It says my item is in stock, available for shipment, but has been downgraded to Ground Shipping and will take 9-12 WEEKS! Insane! And even though it's still marked "Preparing for shipment" in their system, the order states that they're unable to change (cancel) the order. I have never in all my years of shopping online had shipping changed AFTER I successfully placed an order. And the idea that someone is going to wait 2-3 months for an item that is supposedly in stock is ridiculous! I will be complaining far and wide and letting our dance school know so they can stop recommending them.

Horrible service with a smile,

Nice website and product may be good (havent received anything yet), but when someone pays for second day delivery and it takes the company three day to pack a box, its very disappointing!

We will never order from this company again!

Awful shipping

I am ordering internationally and have always done so because my country doesn't have many good quality dance stores, but I have never seen as expensive and bad shipping as from Discountdance. Firstly it took one leotard over a month to show up and secondly the shipping cost me 90 euros. I paid 11 euros for the actual leotard... That just doesn't make any sense! If I am paying 9 times as much for shipping as I am for the actual leotard it should at least not take 4 weeks to arrive! Very disappointed, won't order from them again...

It's already a second time! I paid for two leotards and they were on stock. But after i placed my order they cancelled on of the items and said it's not available. Horrible! I had to pay the same amount for shipping even it just was one leotard. Will never order from them again.

I really love buying majority of my dance supplies here. One problem I did recently have was that I ordered some pointe shoes and they said they were in stock on the page, while I got an email AFTER I already paid and ordered them that the item wasn't in stock but I was still charged for the item and am currently waiting to hear back from them regarding this issue. They are usually pretty fast, but I can't deal with my account being charged and not getting an item. I will continue to shop on this site, because as I said they do have a lot of things that I need for dance and it's fairly cheap and amazing quality!

I paid extra for 5 day shipping, and it didn't arrive in 5 days (so I had to scramble to buy something else), and they refuse to refund the shipping cost! Last year my business partner placed an order right after I had placed an order, and they automatically changed the shipping address I had put in for my order to the one she used - didn't even ask about it - so my costumes ended up in Indiana instead of Tennessee! Multiple times I've ordered items listed as "available" only to receive an email days later saying the items are backlisted. They're just not a reliable source for dance needs any more! And their customer service reps always manage to blame the customer instead of helping. I'm through with them! Too bad too, since I own a 400-student studio!
