You order will supposedly ship in 1-5 days, that doesn't happen. I emailed them, got a canned reply just like other people did. Saying how busy they are and that they're working on my order. I emailed again after hearing nothing more from them. Was told the sunglasses I picked are not at their warehouse, but can probably be received by them from the manufacturer in a few days. At this point, I had already filed a complaint with PayPal after reading numerous poor reviews. I informed PayPal of the latest reply and thankfully, PayPal refunded what I spent. DesignerOptics then emails me and asks if I would like to choose some other brand/style since there was an issue with what I ordered. Nope, I'm finished with this company. Meanwhile, the sunglasses I wanted are advertised a few different times for different prices by this company if you search on google/safari
I would give zero score to his business, they received the order claiming in stock, then you will be waiting an order that never arrives, when you feel scammed and try to cancel it, get refused, for, until you complained them with bank they sent a packaged, returned immediately, a month past, they still not process the refund, should avoid business of this when you make online purchase!
I'm usually good at reading reviews before purchasing from the off brand websites. I had a pair of the frames and broke them. So, when I say them on the website. I didn't jump to purchase. I wanted months and still never read the reviews. It is going on a month and as everyone I received an email stating the glasses are at the warehouse and waiting. So, with that being said. This scam place might not be on the country.
I ordered a pair of glasses 5 weeks ago. I sustained a brain injury which affected my vision and now need glasses. I didn't seen an option for prism lenses and called and asked customer service who said to just email that I needed them and I was told there would no no extra charge. When the glasses were done (I paid when I ordered od course), I received an email I needed to pay another $40 for the prism lenses. I replied saying I was told they would not cost extra and I also tried customer service but was unable to reach anyone. Weeks later, when I finally did, the man was incredibly RUDE, claimed they had not received an email from
Me and still made me pay the $40. DON'T USE THEM. I'll see if anything actually arrives. This has been a nightmare.
Do not ever order anything here. It's a scam. They are happy to take your money, but you will never receive anything. They will tell you that somehow they don't have what you ordered but are 'in contact with the manufacturer'. Translation, they will string you along, and never ship anything.
Let's see how long it takes for my refund.
Orders 5 frames for almost $700 return three pair in original packaging because the size wasn't a great fit …. Didn't receive half of that back… my glasses require prescription if I would have kept them. In return they charged me for frame damage / not true … and every thing they could to keep my money. I return asp once I knew you had only 14 day to return… I was hoping to receive all eye wear at one time but they shipped every thing at different times …. If you don't have money to loose don't order from them … they didn't even have the correct order number on my order. So if I had not called I wouldn't have received any thing back … also the most expensive glasses were the ones they said were damaged … Go in if possible. With that being said they receive the first and last order from me… I pay good money for glasses but I still don't like just giving it away …
The glasses I got weren't the same color as the ones depicted on the site and didn't fit. Upon returning them I was charged $10, which only appeared on the website after I got into an argument with support about it. Their "we care about your satisfaction" $#*! isn't accurate. Plenty of other vendors out there.
Don't buy from them, they will hold you order for months, and ignore any of your refund request, they had make false online advertisement to misleading you, you will regret purchases from them in the end
I ordered the Colored Havana Tom Ford 5313 glasses. I've had these exact glasses in the past I was looking to replace them and when they arrived not only are the frames not the correct color they are almost black and not the "tortoise" like color they are supposed to be but the lenses are giving off a Blue Aura all around where they meet the frames. I immediately contacted customer service where they are trying to tell me this is "Supposed" to be there and telling me the color is correct. When neither aspect is correct. I'm HIGHLY disappointed and very upset! I will NEVER order from here again!
I got the Persol folding sunglasses and they seem to be authentic (which was a small concern given the low price) and I was very happy with them. I say WAS because I left them at the park on like the third day I had them! So mad but I'll be getting another pair from the site so I guess that is a review in itself. One thing is that I paid for 1-5 day shipping and I got them on the 6th day but other than that, great experience.
I ordered from them a month ago and it still hasn't shipped. I keep receiving emails of them saying that my order is still being processed and to be patient. I'm sick of waiting, they're never going to ship. I recommend you don't order from them, they'll scam you out of your money. Now I have to check with my bank about getting my money back. You're paying for something you'll never receive.
I'm shocked people, designer optics sends broken glasses, I ordered Dolce Gabbana and they came to me broken. Sunglasses were very expensive, what should I do now, will you send me new glasses that are not broken?
It took from May to July to complete my refunds. Yes, they have good prices but I have zero confidence to buy and try glasses due to your slow refund also they charge restocking fees and shipping at your own. I know I am not the only costumer but I am one who is not going to buy again from them neither my family, We all wear eyeglasses btw. I would like to love my shopping experience, they sound so convincing and worth trust on their adds; but No, Never again, not even for a try. Thank you.
I ordered a pair of Coach sunglasses on this site as a last minute gift for my wife for Valentine's Day. I specifically chose this company because they had the product I wanted, and they boasted next day delivery. Well, not only did the next day delivery I paid an extra 40 dollars for did not happen, not in the slightest. After 2 days of waiting for the sunglasses to show up (I had no gift to give my wife), and no communication from Designer Optics whatsoever, I finally reached out and expressed my disappointment. I received a very generic email that stated that the sunglasses I had ordered were not even available to them yet, they were waiting on receiving them. There were no updates, no compassion that the holiday plans I had made were ruined because of their failure, and even after I replied and expressed that I am a very unhappy customer and STILL hadn't gotten the order I had paid extra for, the customer service department just offered a weak and ineffective "apology". No discussion of reimbursement for the shipping fee, no conciliatory measures, nothing. Perhaps this company believes that it gets enough business that it doesn't need to have any regard or concern for its customers. Perhaps this company is just another large corrupt company that benefits from trampling over customers and offering terrible and inept customer service, as long as they meet their overhead financial goals. Regardless, I will never shop here again, and I will advise everyone and everyone to do the same, they do not deserve the business or money of hard working people who just want a fair deal.
Don't go near them to buy any of their products. Pathetic customer service that dont even answer their phone if there is a problem! I have never had so much trouble as I have had with Designer Optics!
Not an honorable company. Designer Optics website says they don't accept used returns; yet they sent me used glasses with skin oils on the lens and nose pads. Even at that they took over a month to fill the order. Then they refused to let me return the glasses because they were "used."
Took online order for Furla frames that were supposedly in stock. Then came the computer generated emails that they were trying to procure them. Instructed them via email to cancel the order. No confirmation. Tried calling, no answer. Put in a claim with Paypal. Finally, weeks after they sent the frames anyway. Immediately returned the unopened box per their instructions. Confirmed via tracking that the frames were received. Still awaiting refund. I see their standard computer generated bot response to negative reviews. Beware of this business.
I ordered Tommy Hilfiger sunglassed almost a month ago and have not heard of it being ever shipped. I only received an e-mail at the time of making the order and 4 days later informing it is still being processed. I am getting a bit concerned and dissatisfied of such long order processing times.
I shopped from US to Australia from different sites previously and I receive my goods pretty quickly via air.
I have just contacted Designer Optics requesting update on my order shipping status.
I am having a second thought if I will ever reccommend Designer optics and definitely not going to order from them again.
Frames seem to be a good price. The lenses added to the order are awful. The Designer Optics 14 day guarantee is NOT something the company stands behind. Warning! Do NOT add lenses to your order.
Beware - Fake "designer" glasses, poor quality lense and customer service who doesn't seem to understand our concerns.
We ordered a pair of Oakley glasses, the price was comparable to the other stores we looked at. We ordered from Designer Optics. We finally got the glasses and noticed immediately that the left lense seemed like it was damaged or something. Maybe forced into the frame? The right lense didn't have the issue I saw on the left lense. So I took the glasses to our local optometrist and he confirmed two things. The left lense was not put into the frame right and two... They were not real Oakleys. I even checked myself to confirm that they were fake. I let customer service know both of these issues. Their response was "As per our modern machinery, we did confirm that the lenses were made correctly, as ordered." It's like they didn't even read what the issue was. We don't expect to pay the price we paid for a pair of FAKE designer glasses. You can see in the photos that the lense is not right. You are NOT supposed to see that in your lenses. They say they only purchases their glasses from reputable sellers. Well maybe they are getting scammed, but I'm sure they are fully aware the glasses they buy are fake. I disputed the charge with my bank.
Answer: They need to hire more help as the only way to communicate is by email
Answer: It's legitimate! You just need to make sure you have the right prescription and to send back defective pairs the same day
